I wanted to eat next door at the taqueria but people were practically spilling out of the building at the typical Bay Area hectic lunch hour, so I went here as things were much calmer. The lady was nice as could be but my pizza slice just didn’t cut it. She said it was thick and big — yes it was but it wasn’t a light, fluffy type of thick. It was more of a heavy sandbag type of thick where it was hard to chew and heavy. The cheese and sauce didn’t really have anything distinguishing about them. I’d like to try the Chicago hot dogs as I’ve heard a lot about Vienna beef from my Chicagoan friend but not sure if I’d be too liable to come back. The brightest spot was me getting my food before this pushy chode who had cut me in line. Karma was dispensed this day at least.

Wanted something quick and close to my hotel. Stopped in this place. Service: The guy behind the counter was friendly and helpful enough… until his cell phone rang half way through me placing my order… and he answered it!!! WTF? That was one of the rudest things I have ever experienced while ordering food. He may as well of sneezed a big fat booger on the counter and wiped it up with my sandwich before putting it in the bag. Yes, I felt it was that rude. The food. Sub par. Chicago Dog. Meh… Nothin fancy. If I didn’t know what a good Chicago Dog tasted like and someone told me these were good… I would never order one again… anywhere. Italian Meat Sub. Meh Not much to say. It didn’t taste bad, but it didn’t impress me in the slightest. I didn’t finish it. They will never see me in that place again. It is toooo pricey for the quality food in opinion.

My philly cheesesteak was fair. But the workers in there werent the cleanest ORFRIENDLIEST. Two workers came and sat by us and started kissing and shareing there M&M pizza. and slapping each others butt’s they where acting disgusting i wanted to go vomit on the workers. NOWAYTOACTINFRONTOFCUSTOMERS. WILLNEVERBEBACK…

Since I go to Las Positas, I definitely thought of giving this place a try. The interior of the place is a little odd but the service is definitely friendly. I’m not sure if this place is know for its pizza but I do get the impression that it does, yet I have never tried it. I come here for the subs they have. I always get the philly cheesesteak. It is always fresh to order and is at the perfect temperature to eat when they bring it to you. It is absolutely awesome. The only real problem with this place is the prices. A cheesesteak and a large drink is around ten bucks! Since we all know how college students struggle with money, it’s hard to spring for this place. However, overall, it’s worth it. Give this place a try.

Thrilled to find a place that has real Vienna Beef hot dogs from Chicago so close to my house. Only wish they were open Sundays. But the food is good(including their Italian Beef and their fries) — and the prices are right.

Delicious! We’ve been looking for a good, authentic, Chicago style place to eat ever since we moved to California 5 years ago. Italian beefs were excellent. To quote my husband, «the best I’ve had(except yours) since we’ve been here.». A pretty high compliment coming from the man who used to eat Italian beefs 3 – 4 times a week. His only complaint was that they were a bit dry. Their fries are also great. Definitely fresh cut and done well. Overall, a good value. It’s nice to eat Chicago food at Chicago prices… not 7.50 for a single hot dog like at other CA-Chicago places.

Ok. I go here often. This will be my lunch got today. I’ve recomended this place to everyone who listens. The hot dogs are authentic Chicago style. The beef sandwich is my other favorite you might see Jesus as my wife says. If you like pizza second to none. If you can’t find something their your nuts or a vegetarian tofu munching nut. Priceing was great. The owners are allways there and are some of the nicest people, my wife and I like the atmosphere. Remember it’s the best sandwich/pizza shop you will find.

Staff is nice and friendly, unfortunately the food is horrible. I had a slice of cheese on two occasions and it was simply not good. To give you some perspective, based on taste, recommend going to Costco or Little Caesar’s first before hitting this place.

They got pretty good pizza however they DONT sell slices. C’mon…why not sell slices? I don’t want to pay $ 7– $ 8 for a personal pizza. I’ve only been here during lunch time and they get a lot of take out business. Like I said, pizza was good but would prefer just to purchase a slice.

below average price. this place has good service and friendly people. that’s extremely important but its no excuse for the quality of food. prices are average. 20 bucks for a large combo pie and we also ordered some wings. This pizza is a step below costco and a step above little ceasars. so this place is very forgettable. they do however have subs and hot dogs that i did NOT try so that could be their money maker compared to these wannabe digiorno pizzas. wings definitely overly caked in sauce. the only way these taste as good as wings from costco, round table pizza or lucky’s is if you douse the wings in a gallon of ranch sauce. try it if you are starving, otherwise keep drving down the 580 for more options.

On the way back down from Tahoe, we had decided on getting some good eats at Cattlemen’s in Livermore. However, after arriving and finding out that there’d be a two-hour wait, we decided to look elsewhere in this small shopping center. Starbucks, 7-Eleven, Subway, Burger King, a Mexican place, and Chicago Express. It was really a tossup between the last two, but we went for Chicago Express. As a bonus, they were showing the NFC Divisional game(Cardinals-Panthers) on a small HD-LCD in the corner. We stepped into the restaurant, which had about ten tables of four, only one of which was occupied, by a couple. We were greeted warmly by the lady behind the counter, who possibly was the owner/co-owner. The four of us decided on a large combination pizza, along with an order of 12 chicken wings. [side-note: As we sat waiting for our food while watching the game, it was interrupted by an on-screen directive from Dish Network, basically saying that if the satellite bill weren’t paid right then, service would be disconnected immediately. Possibly because there were patrons in the restaurant, a gentleman(possibly a co-owner as well) grabbed the remote and immediately used the on-screen menu to pay the bill. And thus we were able to continue watching the game.] The wings arrived after about ten minutes, and the pizza came about two minutes after, not exactly giving us a chance to get into the wings. But at the same time, one of us didn’t want any wings, so this prevented her from having to merely watch us eat. The pizza, which was about 16″(just a guess), was cut into a grid-pattern, much like a square pizza would be cut. Neither a good or bad thing, and certainly not much of a big deal. Two of us enjoyed the pizza, which had pepperoni, sausage, bell peppers, mushrooms(canned, not fresh), onions, and olives, while two of us did not. One person got a stomachache that night, either from the food, his failure to wash his hands before eating, or possibly from the chili dogs at Kirkwood we had for lunch. Anyhow, the crust of the pizza was done well, so it had just a bit of crispness. However, it definitely was not a deep-dish, which I would have expected from a place called Chicago Express. As for the wings, they had a nice kick without being overdrenched in hot sauce, and came with a side of ranch dressing. Overall, pretty decent pizza at an okay price(pizza was $ 20, wings about $ 8), friendly service, and sports on tv. But I doubt anybody drives out to this area for some express pizza. However, if you find yourself in the dilemma we were in(hungry and unfamiliar with the surroundings), then I’d suggest you go ahead and give it a try.

I loved the pizza and they have great hot dogs. Service was very fast and everyone working there was very friendly. They were even willing to do ¼ of the pizza different from the rest so we could try another type.

I understand why they have that extra step to edit, that I NEVERPAYATTENTIONTO. Until the next day and can’t understand what my dyslexic hands typed. After editing. I picked up a 12″ medium, today after not waiting in line for a sub-par pizza at Costco(I was returning that salt lick pre-marinated tri-tip that STILL has my taste buds off! As well as the BAD prawns…). The traffic was bad, so I opted for the Kitty hawk way other than the freeway. And spied this place. Willing to give it a shot, we dropped in. The woman/wife of the franchise was nice. Some demanding customers that at first appeared to be friends, and turned out other wise… Were rude to say the least. We waited 10 minutes for our pizza, cooked like Costco’s in that rolly thing. The sauce was good but sparing, and the crust was yuk! No flavor, like cracker crumb. Happy Dog in Gilroy, and the pizza place in Capitola have great crust. You can taste the yeast and the Sea Salt, that is what makes a great pizza, other wise, just sauce and ingredients on top has no base! So, I haven’t tried anything else, but for a less than sub-par, 12″ pizza at $ 12 bucks, I am not likely to. The owners were really friendly and my 16 yr old liked it enuf, so 2 stars for that. Another chain franchise, with inexperienced owners. Sub-par, fare.

I was desperate one afternoon and thought I’d try this new place out. I had a meatball sub and it was less than lackluster. The meatball itself was a little dry. The little marinara sauce and cheese that was present barely had any taste. When it was served I noticed a fat roll… and that is basically what it was: a roll with a side of meatballs. It was served with fresh cut fries, which may have been it’s only saving grace. Skip the sandwiches, go for the fries. I’ve yet to try the pizza as I’m a little skeptic at sampling a whole pie by myself.
