Bonello’s New York Pizza

I now remember why I stopped coming here to eat. The customer service is terrible. The older lady that works their on Sunday does not greet you or acknowledges your wait. The Pizza is inconsistant, and sometimes Luke warm. Nothing special.

I give up. I love their Margherita Pizza, but after 2 previous ordering mishaps, I was hung up on TWICE tonight. I then ordered from Rizzo’s, right up the street, who answered the phone, took my order, and promised me delivery in under 45 minutes… this at 7:45 on a Saturday night. Bonello’s owner, Tony, needs to find employees who can actually answer the phone without hanging up on his prospective customer. I wont be coming back until he does.

I like this place a lot. Friendly group of people. Good pizza and subs.

I give 5 stars based on taste to price ratio. The spaghetti & meatballs is, no joke, best meatballs I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I consider myself a meatball snob, so I know what I’m saying. They are super tender and so flavorful. You get a huge portion, at least 2 meals out of it and if you order the dinner size you get a great side salad and garlic knots! Trust me!

Coming from Nyc Brooklyn so we know a thing about pizza. I suggest going to the one on Narbonne since their style is a bit more traditional. Still the one near el Camino is also good too just slightly thicker. I usually just get plain since you can really taste the sauce and thinness of the slice. Their chicken soup was good too. I only did carry out but I think I’d be better to get this pipping steaming hot from the oven with sit in. Try it out. Since you don’t have too many choices here in the South Bay.

Love their white ricotta pizza. It’s hit or miss on how many garlic cloves you get which is why one knocked off one star. Otherwise, it’s perfection!

I went there on Wednesday evening after work. All I wanted to do was pick up some dinner. I walk in to an empty restaurant there are two people in the kitchen. The door chime sounded as I entered and no one even looked. I checked out the menu over and over while I listened to them talking about nonsense and ignoring me, their one and only customer. I stood there for 5 full minutes and then walked out and went up the street to Rizzos Pizza, Where they greeted me and promptly took my order…
I will never give them another thought after this review.

So good, I wish I had pictures to upload. The food is amazing, I’ve been here only 2 times and love everything from the food, the owner is so sweet and restaurant is always clean. Best part is the wait is only 10 to 15 min for food! Craving food now. :) The pizza is to die for!

Wish I could put zero. Was there with my friend, her mom, and her boyfriend. I had never been there before and the boyfriend had never been there before. It was a first time experience for the both of us.
The owner is extremely rude. He was verbally aggressive with my friends boyfriend for no reason. We found that incredibly rude. He is illegally living next to his restaurant. He smells like weed. He seemed to be very inappropriate with his customers. He has anger issues and if you say something wrong or look at him the wrong way, he WILL come after you.
And the food is not that tasty.

I give their Margharita Pizza 5 Stars! It’s so delicious; the best margharita pizza I’ve ever had. We walk here often for it! ;)

Wow super good. I pride myself as a pizza nut, and this place hit the spot perfectly. Delivery was quick and the pizza was hot. Crust was chewy while the sauce had the perfect amount of zest and flavor. I got their Bonello’s special and they loaded on the toppings. Pizza wasn’t too greasy. Right around $ 20 for a large which I consider standard. I also ordered a side of spaghetti and meatballs and that really impressed me. Hard to find a good meatball, but these were juicy and delicious. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly, a little bit of moisture and the sauce had good depth to it. Could’ve perhaps been more sauce, but hey, small stumble on an otherwise great meal.
I think I found my new favorite local pizza spot.

Tried this place despite the rating because I wanted to make my own opinion about and to support the local business… Big Mistake! I should’ve listened to my fellow Unilocalers :-/
This a review for just the pizza.
Pizza order was wrong. It was even repeated more than twice, three times and maybe even a fourth time. When I picked up the pizza at the indicated time, it was cold and flimsy, edge crust was hard and cold and the rest was just blah. I had to put it in the microwave when I got home and I only drive 3 minutes back. Don’t you guys have a place to keep them warm??? Not like you had many orders, there was no one there –_​–
Costco is a much busier location, they can get an order correct and keep the pizza warm, along with other orders!!!
Wellp! I lived and I have learned.

This is the place I call for delivery food when I am starving (like right now!) and want some great Italian food that will never disappoint and will get here quickly. It doesn’t hurt that it’s right up the street from me but the real reason I keep calling them is this: I am a hopeless gourmet and was raised on superb food my entire life and simply cannot stomach the crap most Americans happily settle for at any number of the fast food restaurant chains that seem to be taking over the world. Whatever happened to REAL food, huh? I don’t want to eat a bunch of preservatives that some mega-​corporation whipped up in a lab by the umteen billion. If you are one of the precious few that will not eat anything from Pizza Hut or Papa John’s then Bonello’s is for you! You will love their super yummy pizza, lasagne, everything is great! They just arrived with my food – time for dinner!

Came here a about a week ago on a Saturday afternoon. Friendly service but they were pretty slow. Our waitress did mention they were getting ready for a big party of about 20 – 25 ppl so perhaps that’s why the kitchen was backed up. I totally understand I won’t hold it against them, maybe next time they can staff properly so other diners don’t feel forgotten.
Anyway, my husband and I split the chicken fettuccine Alfredo dinner portion it was about $ 18-​$ 20. It came with a salad and garlic bread. They were kind enough to split it for us. I hate to say but the sauce was watery and lacked flavor, chicken breast was breaded but was a bit dry, and the garlic bread was pretty tough for our taste. My daughter ordered a kids portion spaghetti and meatball. She loved it! I wish I had ordered that!!! Lol our waitress was the sweetest and for that I am thankful. We will still be back but perhaps stick to the pizza!!!

Tony is always so sweet here. I always stop by for lunch every few months, and they’re always so accommodating. The pizza is bomb as well. I think they deserve 5 stars, I couldn’t imagine anyone giving them less.

Tried this place for a slice. They make a thin crispy crust pizza. The crust was good, but the sauce was ok, kinda bland. Wanted to order a unsweetened ice tea, but they did not have it.

First time came here, didn’t know what to order, a lot of options, very friendly and nice service, the guy in front helped us to order, also we got some spaghetti with cheese while we were waiting for our order, nothing especially but still pleasantly. The pizza was thing and awesome. They have seats outside and also can provide some boxes to go in case you couldn’t finished it before you go.

I get delivery from the other Bonello’s on Anza quite often. They are a fixture of West Torrance. I ate lunch at the Lomita location for the first time today. I got the lunch special. This was a fabulous salad, a «pizza sub,» and a drink.
The pizza sub is a pizza in the shape of a sub. I added peperoni for 50 cents. It was huge. I am a good eater, and I could only finish half. Next time, the two guys I go to lunch with will order a large salad and one pizza sub to split between us.
Bonello’s is family owned. The staff is very friendly. The resturant is clean and has outdoor seating. I am going back for lunch next week.
