Where to start! We ate there last night and were very disappointed. The best thing that could be said about the restaurant is the ambience. Otherwise, there aren’t many positive things to say. I had a $ 12 hamburger and when I ordered, I thought the price was high but it would be served with fresh ground beef. When served, I discovered that it was a hamburger patty. It was overcooked and tasteless. It came on a bun that was not fresh, and the lettuce and tomato were droopy. My partner ordered a chicken dish and it was barely warm and not very tasty. Way overpriced and poor quality. This restaurant was a waste of our time and money.

Mehhh. Just average. Service lacked; minimal attention from server, needed water filled for a long while and server didn’t come back. Server had no personality. I ordered steak and it’s supposed to come with a choice of sauce/topping and the server never asked what I wanted(and I forgot to request until after the food arrived)…first bite of steak was so bland and no flavor at all. A good steak should stand out on its own with proper seasoning. I never add salt to food but had to add a lot just to make it edible. I added the garlic butter topping after the fact and it still lacked flavor. Fries were nice and perfectly crisp but had an odd taste to them. My husband got the steak tips with potatoes. The potatoes are some of the worst we have ever had – they were clearly boxed and had zero seasoning added to them. Steak tips were also just ok. The highlight of the meal was the escargot appetizer, which was tasty. Prices were high considering the food quality. Location was nice, in an old home. Have lived in Londonderry for 5 years and finally decided to give this place a chance, unfortunately we probably won’t return because you can get better steaks across the street at the 99s for half the price.

Very expensive meal. Prices are pretty extreme for what you get. Ordered 2 martini’s, one was awful and did not have the promised ingredients, the other was warm. Food was OK, not exciting, just ok. Spent well over $ 100.00 for the two of us, and the wife is suffering today from food poisoning. So, yeah, not impressed.

This is the second time we’ve had dinner here. I enjoyed my meal both time. This last time I had the Chicken Marsala, it was outstanding. My husband has the Sunday Turkey dinner and he was not so happy. There was more butternut squash than anything else. Very little meat. His came with dessert and coffee.

Visited for dinner, loved the ambiance, we ordered the prime rib special. It was very good, plenty of food, choice of potato, a very fresh salad and a large size bowl of carrots to share. The pumpkin bread and cream cheese spread was incredible. Our meals came with coffee and dessert. The only negative was that the chocolate cake was stale and the coffee luke warm. Also I want to point out that our server was attentive and perfect. Will return again.

My husband and I went out to dinner here last night. I agree with the other reviews in regards to the wait staff. The food was awesome. We both got prime rib and we were very happy with the food, meat was cooked as asked and all that. The waitress was very distracted and did not even look at us a few times that she came into our room. After being passed over 4 times with an empty glass, I finally had to mention to her that we needed drinks. I felt the price was right for the quality of food you get. If we want good food AND good service, we’ll go to Longhorn.

Went in for the on-line advertised prime rib special and left to go somewhere else with a bad taste in our mouths. Our server informed us that the special had been discontinued last week. We asked if they would still honor it since it was currently advertised on-line. The server checked with a manager and told us that that cut as no longer available and that they have no control over the website. Really?? We are talking about prime rib which WAS still on the menu. I could see if they offered several specials on-line and they happened to be out of one that day but they only had one special. 10 days later and the prime rib special is still advertised on-line. We won’t be back. Ever

Updated review, after coming here a few more times its apparent they definitely need to update their management. Atmosphere and food was still good, but is inconsistent. Wait staff doesn’t even know the menu, prime rib special lists everything it comes with on a card on every table yet the staff will tell you it doesn’t come with a vegetable and they never offer or serve the coffee with the dessert. Witnessed wait staff being treated poorly by management.

Well i didn’t really get to enjoy my visit. My boyfriend and I waited for 20 mins without being acknowledged. A waitress walked by us 3 times and on the third time she said we can go sit outside if we want and then walked away. It’s October and getting colder do I really have to sit outside to get service? Well we decided to go sit at an empty table and wait for someone to come over. After 10 minutes still no one. We both started to get frustrated and Hungry so we left. I’ve never had to leave a restaurant because no one will serve you. Horrible customer service!!!

Excellent service. Fantastic specials at great prices. The prime rib was great. The veal Marsala best we had in a long time.

The Coach Stop has quickly become a fan favorite in our house! We love the nachos and the free bread! Also, tonight we learned that you have to ask for Jen P. She is phenomenal and one of the sweetest servers I have ever encountered.

Great food as always. Even let you customize you salad with steak, Salmon or Shrimp on top. Up stair deck is very nice. Staff is attentive to needs.

If you like comfort food made mediocre then go here. It’s not bad. My family dine here all the time, and each time i expect something new and different and eclectic, it’s always still the same boring food that is too expensive for how it’s taste. Perhaps you’re paying for the cure décor who knows. I do like the staff, that’s about it.

We were here for Thanksgiving this year. The pricing was reasonable for what they offered, but how it was served left a lot to be desired. The main course came on your place and all the«finings» were to be family style, in bowls. Well they were in bowls, about the size that would be an individual serving, for a party of 12. We had to keep asking for refills. The turkey soup was tasty but it was barely warm. I decided to have something different from the standard turkey dinner. I had seafood over linguini with Alfredo sauce. It would have been a good meal except that they barely put enough sauce to just about cover the pasta and then must have put it under a heat lamp prior to serving it. It came out as one big lump of pasta with seafood on top. I ate about half of it and gave up. I have to admit I was very disappointed with the meal.

The most appealing aspect to the Coach Stop is the ambiance. The restaurant is inside of a big old house, with several different rooms and a bar downstairs and upstairs. There are also outdoor seating areas on both levels. The whole place has a nice feel to it. The food, in my opinion, is average. I have had the Texas burger with onions rings and the steak tip sandwich with sweet potato fries.

This has become our go-to spot as it is within walking distance from our house. Plus, their food is pretty darn good, too! We’ve become loyalty card holders and it’s quite easy to accumulate $ 25 in free food. The inside is super quaint and cozy, especially the upstairs tavern area with comfy chairs and fireplaces. During the warmer months, their outside seating areas are really nice, despite the noisy traffic. Every time we go, the service is great and the staff always friendly. The food comes out promptly and drinks are refilled without asking. The food itself is usually very good. The spinach artichoke dip, BBQ flatbread, burgers and signature salad are all good choices. I’ve been disappointed with their chicken Caesar salad and seafood alfredo(both were bland). I do wish they would expand their menu to include some lighter sandwich/wrap options and maybe some lighter entrée choices in general.

The Coach Stop is decent restaurant, but not a star. I’ve dined here several times, both before and after it’s change to The Coach Stop. It’s convenient to where I live, so I try it every so often to see if it gets any better. The food overall is tasty, but many thing come across as being«out of a box» — I have no idea if that’s true or not, but that’s the impression. The service is good, wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Food always comes out hot and without a long wait. There’s nothing particularly«wrong» with The Coach Stop — it just isn’t great and with other better options in the area, it just doesn’t make my go-to list.

This was our fist time at the Coach Stop. I don’t know why it took us so long to stop in. The food, atmosphere, and service were excellent. We enjoyed the rustic atmosphere of the different rooms and have been back several times since. I highly recommend you stop in.

I have been to this restaurant on three other occasions under the new name. It is always easier to write a negative review than a mediocre review. With that being said, this is my last experience there. I took my wife here for her birthday January 28th. It was a Tuesday night. We decided to eat in the upstairs lounge because she likes the cheese and crackers as well as the cottage cheese dip they had when it was the homestead. They do not have this any more. I’ve been there two other times since the name change and it is unlikely that this place will not remain on our special occasion list. The nice new england ambiance has not changed and it is convenient for us due to its ease of access rt102 and rt128. For a Tuesday night the upstairs was busier and louder than what we were normally accustomed to. So this may explain some of our experience this night. We took the table behind the fireplace opposite the bar. The downstairs seating is quaint and elegant earlier new england period décor. A nice place to bring out of the area business associates and family. Our waitress arrived shortly after we seated. She brought our menu and took our drink order. No mention of any specials. My wife ordered the Steak Oscar fillet mignon with a Caesar salad mashed potatoes and the asparagus well done. She asked for gravy for the mashed. They did not have gravy, she got rice instead. Her salad arrived and it turned out to be iceberg lettuce with the croutons and cheese, it was hard to identify if there was dressing on it by looking at it. Unfortunately we still had not received utensils. My wife got up to find our waitress and asked the other one. She said she would let ours know. When she came with our utensils she asked if we wanted a second drink order. We asked why a Caesar salad had iceberg lettuce and she said that’s just how they make them there. Despite what the menu and the rest of the world thinks. Our meals came and she was disappointed at her birthday meal. The steak was cooked good. The rice either had sat around for a while or scraped from the sides of the pan. Some grains were soft the others were quite crunchy. She asked for the asparagus well done and it was al dente. The waitress did write it, down this as well as the rice is purely the kitchens fault. I ordered the shrimp and scallop scampi. It was good, the flavor was not outstanding but was not bland either. A few of the scallops were gritty but this is not the Coach Stop’s fault either. The waitress did come over to check on us after we were almost finished with the usual how’s your dinners. We were honest and she said she will let the manager know. We asked for the check and the waitress said happy birthday to my wife. My wife’s meal was credited maybe because of the(in my mind) 3 strike rule. Which I’m thankful for. It’s not like we ever saw the manager whom ever he/she may of been. It was still a $ 70 dinner even with the credit, and not factoring in our tip. At least they acknowledged their errors. However, it was a disappointing experience for a special occasion celebration. I did take a few pics and I’ll try to upload. The pricing increased from a few years back hampstead house by a few dollars per meal. The menu is relatively unchanged. In my opinion the hampstead house experiences were always on par with my expectations.
