They are ok as far as mexican food goes, excuse if I’m wrong, but aren’t onions and salsa considered condiments? This place puts onions and salsa on everything… too me, onions make everything taste like onions rather than what it’s supposed to taste like… salsa takes away from the flavor and all you get is a spicy taste… I have yet to find a reason why they are so adamant about adding these on to their otherwise tasty food… there is nothing more annoying than biting into raw onions… yeech. what about biting into something that is so spicy that you can’t even enjoy it… Casa Sanchez… lighten up!

I grew up in North Long Beach, and this was a must stop after wrestling practice, with my friends, almost every other day after school. Best super nachos I have ever had anywhere. Food was hot, came quickly, and though the surrounding scenery wasn’t always that great, I enjoyed the atmosphere. I try to make a stop every chance I get, when I’m back in the LBC.

I tied the carnitas quesadilla and it was great, the meat had a crispy exterior and it was seasoned well. My friend got carne asada bruitto and taco, he said it was good. The green sauce is good and the prices are cheap. Def will come back.

The husband loves coming here because they have the meats he likes to get: lengua(tongue), and cabeza(roasted meat from the head of the cow) — he would normally get it in the form of a burrito or tacos. I on the other hand sometimes would sometimes get the burger and fries combo for under $ 5 when I’m not in the mood for Mexican; the burger is a bit small but it’s grilled perfectly with all the right flavors. They recently changed the name of the restaurant from Casa Sanchez No 2 to Riviera’s Tacos — still the same owners, whom are very nice and would always hook it up with grilled onions and chips.

The best burritos around. And the biggest sloppiest quesadillas you will find anywhere.

Good, cheap, and authentic. Gotta love the mom & pop places like this. So far, I’ve only had the carne asada burrito and carne asada quesadilla. You might want to give this place a try. Not only do they sell your Mexican favorites, you can also try burgers here. Love it!
