This place is alright. The first time I tried it, it was really good, but since then it seems like everytime I go, I get the mushy remains. Overall, it’s ok. My friend really likes it even though he usually complains about the chow-mein being burnt. I don’t taste it, but I guess his palette is a bit more refined than mine. Their Diet Pepsi is a bit too fizzy without the bite. I suggest the orange chicken if you can get it fresh or the green bean chicken.

Do yourself a favor and shell out the extra money to go to Pick Up Stix. This place never gets any better. Every once in a while I find myself in Los Altos, and I pop in when I have a craving for Chinese food. I’ve given this place many chances, but it just does not improve. The food is too greasy and often looks like leftovers from the day before. Also I’ve sat down to dirty table tops and had to whip out some Wet Ones to clean up. The interior needs to be remodeled as well.

This place was remodeled a few months back but it is same people running it and I couldn’t be happier. The remodel added a sushi bar and you can watch the sushi being prepared fresh at the counter. I’ve had a couple of rolls, dragon roll, spider roll, decent but not worth the price or the wait. They also offer shrimp tempura now, but I find those a bit small and overcooked. I really just come here for the fast chinese food. The good — Chow mein, it’s probably a matter of taste but I prefer these noodles over the ones at Panda. They are thicker, moist and not too greasy with the right amount of veggies mixed in. Pepper chicken or steak, they offer both varieties and both are good depending on what mood of meat your in. Both have a nice sublte sweet flavor along with the spice of the jalapeño peppers that are in the food. This is not black pepper spicy but green peppers. Teryaki chicken, I don’t like how they keep it swimming in a bath of teryaki water, but the pieces are nice big chunks and not fatty. If you get there at the right time you can get the pieces on the top that haven’t been soaking in the juice. Wor won ton soup, great tasting soup you wouldn’t expect from a fast food chinese. Nice pieces of shrimp, chicken and pork along with a good variety of veggies like cabbage, corn, mushroom carrots. Great for when your down with the flu. The bad — While the prices are standard for the chinese combo plates, the price for the sushi and tempura are not worth it. Custom orders take a long time, ordering sushi, tempura or even the won ton soup can be a long wait. I usually order then head to Target and do my shopping and then return and hopefully my order is ready. I love to eat my noodles with Sriracha sauce, but they water it down here. I find that to be a weird way to try to save money especially since they moved the soda machine to help yourself free refills. Love the soup, the food is above average I’d come here more often if the parking wasn’t such a nightmare. Even worse now with the popularity of Trader Joe’s.
