The service was not very good. The patio space has a small walkway and the servers and host/hostess were not looking out for guests and didn’t give us the right of way. The food was expensive and just ok. Our food came out at different times and the appetizer portions are extremely small.

Terrible food. Sauces are nothing special. No where near lucilles quality food. Walking up I noticed their garbage area is extremely overly nasty with mounds of flies. This was outside to the siDe of the entrench. Inside my water had back stuff along the cup in bottom. This was water I was putting my teething child’s pacifier in. Everyone else got soda I did my want to eat here but we had no choice. I ordered light because it doesn’t take. A brain surgeon to realize 2+2 = roaches and bugs. They don’t clean their stuff properly and food is nothing special. Don’t waste your time. Go to yard house next door or another competing restaurant as their are many on that row.

I have just barely thought about leaving a review for this place. First off, I ordered for togo and hung out in the togo area. I feel so terrible but the girl who was working that area that night was super friendly and helpful, she was a brunette Latina– probably doesn’t help but eh. It was my first time eating Famous Dave’s and she explained the sauces to me along with what tasted best and like what. She was super patient with me. Helped me with adding corn on the cob along with corn bread etc. Thank you! Once I finally got the meal home, we absolutely enjoyed it! The sauce was so good. Corn bread was the best I had ever tasted. Recommended! I’ll be back.

Meat-eaters raise your knives because you’re going to love this place. My husband was craving bbq so we came here for dinner. The wait was 90 minutes, but we grabbed a table at the bar. He ordered the ‘feast for one’ which came with brisket, chicken, ribs, corn, fries, cornbread and beans. It says feast for one but could easily fill two people. Being that I’m a vegetarian I ordered a bunch of their side dishes. The Mac and cheese had a light jalapeño taste. And the corn bread was PERFECTION! I was hoping to order desert, but filled up on the potato salad, brocolli, and cornbread and I had no room for desert. The ONLY reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I felt the mixed drinks were a little weak in the alcohol.

Oh lawd the wait! We waited over an hour, but let me tell you, it is worth the wait. My wife is very satisfied with the ribs and pretty much the whole menu. My son was happy and loves the burnt tips and the chicken tenders, but he was sad they don’t serve gravy… he survived. The place is as expected, clean and with good service. The chilli beans are delicious and their chicken is made just right.

Famous Daves is conveniently located near the Aquarium of the a Pacific(great walking distance). We came on a Saturday around noon and was able to score a booth with under a 5 minute wait. I ordered the pulled pork with a side of Mac and cheese and fries. OMG. The Mac and cheese was wonderful. It has that after-kick I’m always craving. The fries were crisp and plentiful. Wonderful side options! The pulled pork over toast(?) was mmmmm a bit disappointing. The pork was dry, needed more sauce, and the toast on the bottom just needs to be discarded. It added no value to the entrée and was a bit difficult to cut up and eat. Our server, who is very sweet, sort of disappeared after our table was cleared so we were sitting there waiting for our check for 15 mins at an empty table. As I got impatient, especially with 2 small kids who wanted to leave, I had to flag down another server to get our check. Overall, decent place for an affordable price. I’d probably just order a bunch of sides next time.

Walked in with a party of seven and were told the wait was 45mins but we ended up being seated within 15mins, and it was pretty packed with people already waiting befor we stepped in. Food was delicious and our server was super chill. Will definitely come back soon.

4⁄11 Not happy. I’ve been ordering the 2 meat combo dinner platter for lunch to get the double brisket. Even though the menu doesn’t say anything. Now the manager, Mark, is telling me he’s going to charge me extra for double brisket. Even though I’ve been ordering it like this for the past two weeks. 4⁄20 I’m back and today I was allowed to order double brisket. Hassle free as long as I buy the dinner plate instead of the lunch special. A few bucks extra. But worth it for me. 4⁄25 Im back because I miss that brisket. But today I’m not allowed to order double brisket on the double meet combo. Not even with a dinner plate. Servers were great as usual. But I really hate management. Gonna try one more time next week. If it’s my last I’ll have to head out to Beechwood BBQ Wich is .25 miles from here. Also going to upload my pic of the double brisket I can sometimes get.

My first experience with famous Dave was in Minnesota. Loved it there and glad to see it here. Decent place to get your bbq fix. Corn bread was ok. You get a great selection of sauces to try. Ribs were ok. Service is friendly. Price is right. Family friendly.

I’m not sure what happened. We’ve been coming to Famous Dave’s for at least 10 years now and slowly over the years the quality, the portion sizes and the service has gone down hill. I remember when the plates each looked great as they came out. The BBQ was top notch and the food looked as amazing as it tasted. But the last couple of visits it looked like the food was thrown onto the plate, everything was lumped together, the sides were spilling out of the bowls, it just looked like a mess. And since you eat with your eyes first I was already disappointed. The portion sizes have also changed significantly over the years. I remember when you could order a meal and you had a guaranteed lunch for the next day. But now the sizes are much much smaller still enough to fill you up but nothing more. The prices however sure have increased. Lastly the service. It used to be so friendly the servers would stay and chat about the sauces or the BBQ preparation — nope not anymore now when you are seated they ask if you have been here before if you have they say nothing more, they don’t intro the sauces and they don’t bring the tiny plate of chips to taste the sauces with. Lucille’s is a much better bang for your buck. They have remained very consistent.

I have been to this location several time and just never got around to leave a review. This visit and my previous two have been pleasant. Nice atmosphere and ideal for group gatherings. Mark was our server and is very efficient. Our Baby Back Ribs arrived very quickly. Since I have not eaten all day, I pigged out and devour my meal in no time !! Their Cole Slaw is excellent. *** You get meals at a affordable price ***

THISREVIEWISFORHAPPYHOURINTHEBAR: Ok, so I am always biased towards the mom and pop local businesses. I’d been holding off on hitting FD’s because it is tough to get too from OC(lots of traffic) and it is a chain… how special could it be. Well, they proved me wrong. The HH here is amazing and the best value I have seen in a long while. I wanted to hit Wing Wed, but ended up there on 1.25 a bone Thursday and big brews were in the $ 3 range. My buddy and I ordered some fried pickles, BBQ chips, and chicken tenders along with beers and 8 bones. We could not finish it all! I also found a $ 10 off $ 30 on their FB page which was happily accepted by our waiter. This brought our entire bill to $ 21. Unbelievable. Food quality: Ribs were amazing, I am a fan of Dave’s Devils Spit sauce and always love mustard-based sauces as well. Homemade BBQ chips were right up my alley, fresh and zesty(huge portion). I am not usually one to order fried pickles,(spoiler alert: I grew up in the South and they do not eat them there!), but they must have sent out 3 lbs of pickles… seriously this was a massive portion. Sides were all great, but fried and salty as expected. The bones(ribs) were amazingly meaty and cooked perfectly.

01/31/2016 The wait was hardly a wait. I used the restroom and was super clean. I came out and my fiancée was already seated. Our waiter, Lindsay was prompt and made sure we had drinks and if we had any questions about the menu and also explained the sauces. I ordered the bbq chicken with mashed potatoes with Mac and cheese as my fiancée got the half rack baby back ribs with the grilled pineapple with the Mac and Cheese. I’ve been to so many different Famous Dave’s and Tennessee has the spiciest Mac and cheese. We finished off with a brownie which hit the spot. Overall the best service at a Famous Dave’s I’ve had!

I am just not a fan. Definitely not the best bar b q in town, but you shouldn’t expect a chain restaurant to be. Though I will say if I had to choose out of the chain restaurants, Lucille’s would win. I will say they always have great service, and the staff is always super attentive making sure everyone has what they need. Other than that, I don’t have much else to say.

I had the barbeque chicken with famous fries, dave’s cheesy mac n cheese and a corn bread muffin. First off lets start out with the sauces. Tonight I used Rich and Sassy and Devil’s Spit. The Rich and Sassy sauce is like a cloud of all your hopes and dreams that came true. It live up to its name by being sweet and sassy! It has a nice sweetness but not like candy or sugar sweet. Just enough to where its not overbearing. The Devil’s Spit was like a cloud of all your hopes and dreams that came true ANDTHENSOME! This sauce was great but, as foretold by The Lion King, BEPREPAARRRED. This sauce is sweet and spicy right where it counts. Now lets dive into the barbeque chicken. This chicken was seasoned so well and cooked just right its like God himself made it. It is a half a chicken! HALF A CHICKEN! The chicken was tender an juicy and had a nice smoky flavor to it as well. It was pre lathered with sweet and sassy sauce. I was sitting there for at least 40 mins just eating the chicken. I was so memorized by it I forgot I had sides! Next Let’s talk about the famous fries. These fries are more like crinkle cut wedges. Just the right amount of salt. Nice crisp outside and good fluffy potato thats piping hot when you get it. You can definitely tell that its fresh. What more can you ask for?! The Dave’s Cheesy Mac n Chessy was delicious. Nice and cheesy with soft elbow macaroni noodles, with little pieces of jalapeños inside it. Very good. The interior is great and clean and the wait staff is so friendly. Our waitress for a while was Hannah. She was funny. I did not get to try the corn bread muffin. I was just too stuffed. I only finished half of my food but trust me it was good. I would definitely recommend this place and would 10⁄10 come here again. I am off to warm up leftovers. Who says eating at 11:00pm is bad for you?! They must’ve not had Famous Dave’s!
