I cannot wait until open enrollment at my job begins so I can run from this place! I was assigned here because my dentist of 16 years no longer takes my insurance. I decided to stay after reading the two good reviews in hopes of having pleasant experiences. What a mistake!!!
Maybe I’m a stickler for getting my teeth cleaned on time, but I used to go in May and November. I never had a problem booking appointments on time. Before leaving, I filled out reminder cards or booked ahead. I was greeted with smiles and treated like an appreciated customer. The dentist was open until at least 6 pm on some days, which helps people who work «normal» business hours.
My first call = a rude Renee. My first visit = same dry, demanding attitude. I ignored her hoping the excuse was a bad day. Though, she began pleasant and had great conversation with a few other ladies who walked in. Strike one! I was told to call my former dentist to request x-​rays. Okay… odd. Seems like a new office = NEW x-​rays = draw their own conclusions. It’s covered by insurance! Second visit = a consultation. Third visit = cleaning, FINALLY! Not to mention, I called in October for a November appointment. Nope. I didn’t get my teeth cleaned until January. That left me 3 months behind schedule and pissed. Strike 2!
When I left my cleaning appointment, I stood at the counter for at lest 5 minutes. How rude! Renee looked at me crazy and asked if I needed something. Uhh… yes, duhhh! I asked if I should fill out a reminder card or schedule an appointment. She told me nothing was needed because the office would call. No problem. Fast forward 6 months, I received nothing. I called yesterday for my second cleaning appointment, due this month. Renee was yet again, rude and condescending. She told me 1) there are no appointments after 3:30 and, 2) the first available appointment isn’t until mid September. That pushes me back ANOTHER 2 months. Not only that, the hours aren’t flexible. There are no evening appointments… EVER…for people who work «normal» business hours. Unacceptable!
Although Dr. Batra and his assistant were both pleasant and made me feel welcome, I don’t feel that my business needs to remain here. There is no flexibility, an unusually long wait between appointments due to short business hours, and Renee is extremely brash. I will do them a favor and LEAVE as soon as October comes!

If you are looking for a good dentist look no farther! I have a great one here in the Bixby Knolls area of Long Beach, Jasmir is soft spoken and polite, fair, honest, and runs a small office, Never a wait!
Jasbir is a great sensitive dentist and a outstanding craftsman that will work to make sure you are comfortable and never in any pain! He has great staff that amounts to three! Himself, his wife at the front desk and a dental technician that is a really a fun person to kid around with! My Mom used him and then I switched over to him once my life long dentist retired. Super happy with the major and minor dental work like bridges and crowns, cleanings etc. He doesn’t lecture you and make you feel shamed if you have neglected a bit of your flossing… good prices too! They will work with your insurance and if you are like me and have to pay for your own… they will help you get into a plan like Delta to make it CHEAPER for you! Now how many dentist will do that!
He is a Pakistani and I think he’s Hindu so you get all their good Karma and good are when you visit him.
His wife is nice and will even call you if you want to be remind when you are next scheduled to visit! She is a real cutie and fun too,… and myself being a craftsman and artist they both wanted to see my own art and jewelry… what more can I say… oh yeah they have little personal color TVs at their chairs you can watch while you get worked on… it’s amazing what a little distraction will do to get you through all the drilling and scrapping and grinding!
