We found this place as we were driving to Hole Mole; we liked the name so we decided to skip hole mole and try it out. The food is good. The tacos although small they are pretty filling. The quesadilla and Mulita had the good kind of cheese. The horchata was good too. Their green salsa is pretty good! The place is clean. The staff is nice and friendly. Service was fast. We’ll definitely be back. The only down side is that there is no public restroom.

Just average. Nothing special about this place. Was super disappointed to see my flautas being put into a microwave and not even being fried properly. The burrito was loaded with more cheese than meat and the tacos were good but nothing special. I’d come here if I went to the Stache and got super drunk but probably won’t be coming back. It’s a shame they attract people using Frida. The food should be waaayy better for that.

The search is over, this is the hole-in-the-wall neighborhood mexican place you have been looking for! The prices are fair, the staff is pleasant, and the food is good. I recommend the asada tacos(but not the fish nor shrimp), the tortas, and the burritos. They also have some weird vegetarian things on the menu(there are hipsters in the neighborhood) — can’t tell you about those, but if you’re a hipster douche bag you might be interested… You can order food from this place and have it delivered to you next store at The Stache(a bar that is definitely worth checking out(they make their own syrups)). There is some Frida inspired art work on the wall — it isn’t amazing, but it adds charm to the place. wishing La Frida many years of healthy business —

Awesome authentic Mexican food. Open late for when you are done at the bar. The bar next door will let you eat their food at the bar as well.

So yummy!!! I love eating the carne asada mulita. The green and red sauces are so spicy and delicious. My hubby orders the carne asada torta. It’s really good too. Great place to go after have fun at the Stache bar.

This place sucks. I got«the flautas» and they were just crappy frozen taquitos you can get from Costco that were stale as hell. They had no shame pulling these out of the freezer right in front of me, either. 4 of these, and a large horchata was almost 10 freAkin dollars! I was so disappointed, so sad they’re using Frida Kahlo’s likeness to advertise this crappy place.

The al pastor is freakin AWESOME. Juicy and flavorful! Tortas are amazing. Tacos are perfect. Red and green sauces are great. Love that they serve radish, cucumbers and lime with their tacos! So happy they are open until 2am too!

I got the shrimp burrito here and it was bomb! My sister got veggie nachos with grilled bell peppers and onions and they were so good. I’m not giving them 5 stars because they forgot the guacamole on the nachos and they charged extra for that.

Food and service is amazing. Alejandra is great, it was our first time here and she recommended the flautas and mulitas they were both delicious. The salsas are all amazing I usually prefer red salsas but the green one is amazing!!! We will for sure come back again.

I am a simple girl. A simple girl with very high expectations. I have spent a lot of time in southern Mexico and my ex mother in law was from Oaxaca and extremely teaditional. I know good Mexican food. Authentic Mexican food. In long beach there are taquerias on every corner, so it’s stiff competition out there. The menu at la Frida is extremely basic. I’m a vegetarian so there were three choices… bean burrito, quesadilla or potato taquitos. I went with the bean burrito. Basic. Simple… beans, cheese, cilantro, onions and sliced avocado(guacamole inside is $ 3 xtra, but sliced avocado is only $ 1 xtra). The burrito was literally one of the best not authentic mexican food burritos I have ever had.(Not that burritos are mexican) Pinto beans, but not refried, a ton of cheese *I wish it had been oaxacan or queso fresco, but it was Monterey jack* and yummy avocado. The green salsa was also super delish. I’ll definitely be back, but when I’m in a simple, not too mexicany mood. I’m hoping their potato taquitos are more authentic, but like I said, the burrito was amazing!

We stopped off here after a friend recommended the grilled shrimp burrito. My friend and i both got one and it we agreed it was one of the best burritos we’ve had in awhile. It was full of peppers, cheese and of course shrimp. Very flavorful with just the right combinations of ingredients. This place is right next door to The Stache and would be a great place to stop off after having some drinks there, because they’re open late. The staff here is very friendly.

This place is open to 3 to 4 in the morning! Perfect late night meal after drinks at V Room or The Stache. It’s situated between a really fun mural from POW, the Stache and an old coffee shop. The food is great, staff friendly, and an artsy atmosphere. Definitely a good spot.
