Artistic Gardener

Great unique store with allot of one of a kind and hand made art with a rustic and natural feel. One woman was a bit abrupt but the other two were polite and eagar to answer my questions.
Great place for Lampe Berger products. Its the only store location ive found in the Chicagoland area that sells Lampe Berger products. Aside from the larger fragrance bottles the store was pretty on par for pricing for their fragrances which is also a plus. Anyone not familiar with Lampe Berger’s catalytic lamps should definately look into them. They have all the fragrances in sample vials so you could get a feel for the scent before buying one too which is nice.
Aside from that some of the items they sold seemed grossly over priced while others were reasonable. All in all a neat little store though. Only thing I thought was weird was that they have signs that say your not allowed to take pictures of anything in the store.

The staff at The Artistic Gardener are very pushy and rude! At first it seemed great that they could tell you the ins and outs of their products but it gets tiring having someone constantly in your ear.
One product in particular I was very interested in and likewise for my mom and sisters, a Lampe Berger. So I decide to do a little research of my own. Using my phone I looked up the product, as I often do with most products that I’m interested in purchasing. Mind you this product is at least $ 100, with the lamp, oil, accessories, etc. As I’m doing my research I feel the presence of a saleswomen looking over my shoulder. This was odd so I put my phone down and she walked away. I pick my phone up again and she walks behind me again!!! This time she sees I have the product information open on my phone.
AND YOU KNOW WHAT SHE SAYS TO ME?! «Please do not look up the product on your phone»
I’m am completely caught of guard! So she was looking to see what I was doing on my phone?! WTF! This is a first!
So I am left baffled! Why would you discourage the research of your products? My only thought is The Artistic Gardener must up their prices ALOT!
Anyways I would highly recommend AVOIDING The Artistic Gardener whenever in Long Grove.

1 – 2 stars for curt, unpleasant woman (60ish, short grey hair) working there today (⁵⁄₂₈) but 4 – 5 stars for unique garden art and gifts based on «nature». Delightful shop in a beautiful setting with a garden filled with gems of handcrafted decorative garden stakes. I am glad I bought everything that I wanted today and had my husband with me to help because the sales lady didn’t lift a finger. My husband said «Enjoy these because we are not spending another dime here.» I agree. The yard art looks lovely in our garden though and that’s what I am focusing on going forward.
