Not real impressed. Although I had a nice, friendly interaction with the ladies behind the counter and the restaurant appeared clean and tidy, I’ve had much, much better Mexican take-out. I had the«handheld» barbacoa burrito which lacked flavor, perhaps from being over-powered by the flavor of grease that pooled in the bottom of the tin foil and eventually seeped out and onto my pants… it took quite a while to get that taste out of my mouth. Based on the previous reviews, I’m willing to go back to try the breakfast burrito, but I won’t be racing back for the lunch/dinner menu anytime soon.

I guess I should have read the Unilocal reviews and gotten a breakfast burrito. The rice and beans were good, but everything else was greasy and to be honest this was the worst chilie relleno I have ever had in my life. The chilies tasted pickled and instead of an egg wash they were rolled in a tortilla and fried. Straight pickled chilie grease. I’m beginning to think the front range doesn’t have any idea what real Mexican food is. The ladys behind the counter were really nice, but they need to work on the food. Will not return.

I love Palmeras! Great hot green chile – the best cure for a cold. Their breakfast burritos are amazing: a hot green chile breakfast burrito with pico. Heaven. Their bean, cheese, and chile burrito(handheld) is another go to.

Cheap, amazing Mexican food. Breakfast burritos are my go to. They come with potatoes, eggs and your choice of bacon, ham, chorizo, plain or pico. I usually go with pico because it adds a great flavor and is healthy. This is a Longmont institution that I hope is around for a very long time. Breakfast burritos are 2.50 before 11AM, after 11 they are 3.50.

One day a few years ago this location was Santiago’s and 2 days(literally) later, it was Palmeras… Too be perfectly honest, at first, I was bummed, And then I walked in and ordered what would have been my usual Santiago’s(breakfast ham smothered HOTGREENCHILI with pico and jalapeño on top) and OHMYGOD!!! These guys breakfast burritos are the best on the front range, and that includes CO and NM. Consistent, TASTY, and since I LOVE heat, their hot green CANNOT be beat, While I still like Santiago’s(and several other fantastic local joints), these guys are head and shoulders the best breakfast burrito when you are near…

Love their breakfast burritos. For $ 2.50, you can’t go wrong. Lots of different choices of ingredients vs Santiagos. Friendly staff and quick service.

The breakfast burritos are ok, however I feel they could do a better job cleaning the common areas to freshen up the place a bit. The customer service is hit or miss. There’s certainly a bit of attitude there.

The $ 2.50 breakfast burritos are excellent. I had the chorizo and bacon with the hot green chili and boy were they good! The employees were very professional and friendly and they turned around our order within a few minutes. I haven’t tried their lunch or dinner menu yet but I would bet it wouldn’t disappoint.

Normally I frequent the store on Francis st for breakfast burritos or huevos rancheros which are always delicious. Decided to try this location for a change for soft chiles rellenos which wer TERRIBLE!!! The chips and salsa were good, the beans and rice are good the green chile sauce is the best, but what the hell happened to the rellenos? It was like bottom half of them were fried in rancid butter or bad oil or something. I should have sent them back but I ate the top half with the chiles and later ended up with a major case of stomach cramps and indigestion. I think most of the Mexican around longmont is sub par anyway, and this just confirms my belief. Maybe this was a just a fluke but I won’t return. So far the best mex restaurant I’ve been to around here is AJUUA in Niwot. Worth the drive

Food is Ok. Costumer service sucks! I ordered to go because two ladies in there barely speak to us. We weren’t asking for given food for free… we’re bringing BUSINESS to you!

We have probably eaten here at least 20 or more times in the last 2 years. I absolutely LOVE the $ 2 breakfast burritos! Another favorite are the Tacos Adovada. If you get 5 tacos you get a free bowl of spicy bean soup. I am not sure what the soup is called or even what all is in it, all I know for sure is that it’s delicious! Very good prices. I haven’t tried many of the other menu items because I just stick to what I already know I love. This is not a fancy place but it’s clean and priced right, excellent choice for fast Mexican food.

How can you go wrong with $ 2 breakfast burritos? You can choose your meat such as bacon, sausage, chorizo etc then choose your temp, mild, medium or hot… I usually pop into this place, order to go and I’m outa there in no more than 5 min! Apparently according to some signs they have problems with high school kids during lunch since the Longmont high is around the corner, but since I go for breakfast I have never seen them loitering or causing a ruckus!

Best breakfast burritos I’ve EVER had. That’s all I’ve had there, so it’s all I can speak for, but they are not to be missed!

I live down the street, and have been a fan of Las Palmeras across town for years. I was excited when I saw they were putting in a taqueria on Francis. I have enjoyed everything I’ve tried — the tortas, burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas & tacos are all good. The guacamole and salsas are fresh and flavorful. I have always enjoyed great service when I go there, and I look forward to my next visit.

Disclaimer: I can only speak for the breakfast burritos here. they are very good! I would take one from here over the more well-known Colorado Mexican chain any day. The downside to this place is the people/service. Not very friendly at all. And when I called to order a number of burritos to take to work with me, no one answered the phone. The guy covered in hickies at the front counter did not have any apology to that either. I will probably go back since the food was decent at a decent price.
