Great Americano and super cozy atmosphere! Nice Oasis during the bike trip around the island. Certainly visit here again.

Delicious specialty drinks and a very friendly staff! Every time I am on Lopez I make sure to stop in and grab a drink. If you are in the mood for something sweet I recommend the Mocha Milkshake or a Mocha freeze.

Been going here for years and it’s always been a great spot for locals and summer tourists alike. Great coffee and great service. You may have to wait a minute(not a $tarbucks minute) for your espresso, but the end product is well worth it. Better than the other place across the street where we’ve gotten attitude on more than one occasion.

My husband and I came here about 3 times in one weekend. The staff is so friendly, and they were wonderful in helping my husband decide what to get. I had their chai and spiced hot chocolate, and both were wonderful. There is not a whole lot of space to sit, but we were in kind of a hurry, so that didn’t matter. I would definitely come back.

Pretty good coffee, and great service. Seemed like a locals spot, and definitely the kind of place to hang out on a nice day.

Loved the view, the people and the coffee. Loved drinking coffee while watching the fog come in/out. The local ceramic art was also amazing.

I was recently in this coffee shop. There were two people in front of myself in line and two people behind me. I patiently waited my turn to order. The man in front of me offered to buy the drinks for the women behind me, which further delayed my progress. After 26 minutes, my adult daughter came into the shop to see what was taking so long. Twelve more minutes passed and now it was my turn. The barista asked if I was in a hurry. I calmly told her that we did have a ferry to catch. At this she replied that my lack of organization did not justify an emergency on her part. I was dumbfounded and at a loss for words. This is so pointedly rude. The quality of the coffee went unnoticed after this interchange. We visit Lopez every year for six weeks. I will not be patronizing this business in the future.

I wish I could magically transport myself to Isabel’s on any morning, unfortunately I live in Seattle. Espresso-wise, this place is truly as good as the best places in Seattle.* Add the Lopez-factor, and Isabel’s Espresso is a slice of heaven. * I am one of those annoyingly picky espresso connoiseurs. Milky decoctions from Starbucks are for those who don’t really like coffee.

Great coffee and a funky environment. It has a lovely wrap around patio under a large shade tree with a view of the village and the water. Miniature cookies near the register will tempt you but you’ll come back for the coffee!

Good coffee, good vibes, and«Hippies use side entrance». Isbel’s is an institution. They have a great selection of drinks — coffee to italian sodas to root beer floats. An ecelctic indoor setting with a nice, dog-friendly, patio. I highly recommend them over Café La Boheme — especially since there is a lot of bike parking.

The big sunny porch overlooking the water is my home away from home. If you want to get to know the quirky characters of this beautiful island, just make Isabel’s your hang out, and soon you’ll be one, too! The tea selection is extensive, including a locally made organic and YUMMY chai, as well as invigorating matcha lattes – made with your choice of several milky options. Lots of locally made treats, as well. Games and books and videos to borrow, and a bookstore to peruse next door. An endless flow of old-timers, newcomers, visitors and extra terrestrials. You could spend all day here and never have a dull moment.

Do not expect anything reminiscent of Starbucks. I am a biased reviewer as I have worked at Isabel’s in past, but as a coffee drinker I must say the beverages are of top quality. Isabel’s uses Caffe Mam organic free-trade shade-grown beans, and their flavor, especially as developed in the hands of Isabel’s expert baristas, cannot be beat. Do not expect quick service, as there is normally only one person behind the counter. Do not order a double-tall-half-caf-caramel macchiato. This sort of pseudo-latinate frippery will get you quietly snickered at. Instead, order an extra shot of espresso and a shot of caramel syrup in your twelve-ounce dry latte. This coffee joint doesn’t know what a ‘venti’ is, but they do know how to make an excellent cup of whatever you want. Blended drinks are decadently delicious. And be sure to get Josh to make you a caramel turtle from the big book of strange espresso concotions in back.

This place is horrible! Don’t ever go here!(Translation: I want it all for myself!) Anyone who knows me will tell you I love my coffee shops. I’ve known many, loved quite a few– but none of them tops Isabel’s. The building is gorgeous and quaint, the coffee is good, and the setting– oh, the setting… A couple of big, beautiful shade trees, fantastic view of the water– beautiful. And speaking of beautiful, Julia the barista is one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen! And it’s connected to a bookstore, what more could you ask for? A lot of locals hang out here so you can get in on some good conversation too– if you’re not too busy reading, or perusing all the art and cartoons on the wall, admiring the view, or trying not to let Julia catch you staring at her. I’ve holed up here on cold, rainy winter days and I’ve sat on the deck in the summer; sometimes my nose was buried in a book, other times I’ve chatted up the staff or other customers. And it was delightful in every case. I don’t consider any trip to the islands complete without a few stops at Isabel’s.
