The food is great, just be careful if you have any dietary restrictions. They are willing to make changes, but sometimes there can be either confusion, or someone doesn’t pay attention– so check your food even if you have been clear and think your requests have been accepted. My wife and I are regular customers and have loved it since we moved to the area. We have dishes we order all the time, but this today they added red chili to two entrees when I selected the mild spicy level that I always select. They never have before. I have dietary restrictions and can’t eat them. A call just added to the frustration, as I was told I ordered incorrectly– even though I order these dishes all the time the same way through Eat24. And I was also told one of the dishes, silver noodle, never have red peppers– as I was looking right at it with clearly visible red peppers. No offer to correct or replace the order was made. If you are fine with all ingredients, though, A La Carte is highly recommended. Really good, well-priced Thai food for the area.

I have tried this place a few times because we had a friend rave about it saying its the best they every tasted. The first time we tried a bunch of things. The cashew chicken, an appetizer, the fried rice etc etc. I thought it was meh. I called them another day to try it adn they said delivery time was an hour and a half so i skipped it that day. Today i tried the coconut shrimp and pad thai The Coconut shrimp was very hard. like rock hard. Its about 2/3s flattened fried coconut batter and a itsy bitsy shrimp. the plum sauce was more like sweet watery syrup. The Padthai which comes with dry chicken pieces and two small shrimp was meh. The noodles were a big glob. Tasted like bland spagetti sauce. No flavor. The only thing that tasted fresh in the order was the green onion. I paid $ 18.00 for bleh food. Not really worth it in my book. Im still on the hunt for a good thai food place on the westside. Real thai food is very flavorful and some times a bit spicy. The ambiance in this place is nice. I think they need to kick it up a notch in the food department.

This place is great. The interior is nice, clean and contemporary — not something you see all the time at Asian restaurants. The lady who I think owns the place is so sweet! If you go, you must get the sweet corn patties as an appetizer, these are SOGOOD. It’s almost like garlic chicken meatballs with corn that you dip in a sweet/sour plum sauce. I’ve come back multiple times for take out just to get these! Their pad thai is good, nothing out of the ordinary. Spicy eggplant, really good. if you like spicy and you like eggplant lol. Buddha salad, yummy! love the peanut dressing. I love that I live close to this place because i’ll sure be back many times. Dine in or takeout, both are delicious.

Love this place! Great for dine in or take out. I like the freshness and quality of the food. Here’s a summary of the dishes we’ve tried so far. Pad Thai: A-OK. Not the best, but not too sweet. Pad Kee Mao: Amazing Green Curry: Amazing Mixed Vegetables: Amazing, considering this is boring mixed vegetables. It has a great smoky flavor similar to Japanese somen soup. Curry Salmon: Avoid. Mediocre salmon in a watery not-so-curry puddle. Overall a reliable place with friendly service.

Throughout 2014⁄2015 we ordered delivery on a regular basis(2 – 3 times a month. The quality had been pretty consistent, but delivery is hit or miss… Sometimes super fast, most times about an hour, tonight… Well over 2 ½ hours. I called after an hour and was told«he already left»(after having to give my phone number 3 times). Called again 30 minutes later and was told«he left. We’re busy» — again after having to give our information multiple times. After the third call, I told the person on the phone I wanted a refund. She actually took the time at this point to look into it, and she realized they didn’t get the on-line order(although my credit card had been charged and I received both e-mail and text confirmation). I’ll be following up tomorrow to ensure I receive a refund. We will not be frequenting this restaurant again.

This place isn’t bad at all. I tried a couple of their simple dishes: pad Thai + yellow curry with tofu. Both items were equally as good. Their Thai iced tea is similar to your typical, sugary concoction. Parking in this area can be a little brutal depending on the time of day. They have a parking spot in the back — that’s right, one spot. So don’t bank on that. Oh and for you coupon people and larger groups, they are on . That might help you save a little bit of $$.

I never write reviews and am one of those skeptics who thinks Unilocal reviews might be a bit overrated. However, I do use Unilocal to help navigate the tremendous grub options in this terrific city. With so many great Thai choices and all so close, I cannot suggests this restaurant as a backup with another one that might have a long wait. Wait somewhere else. Here is why: Sweetness in everything, with no heat. My husband and I had two dishes: spinach and beef with peanut sauce. .. spinach from the bag, chewy beef and the sweetest peanut sauce, ever. Too sweet to eat. I get that this is America and we put sugar in our baguettes, which isn’t right, either. Un-edible. We also ordered Pad Thai. .. call us unoriginal. This too was loaded down with so much sweet that we forgot the chicken was dry. Maybe that is the point. So, I won’t even complain that the raspberry tea was too sweet.. . that is forgivable, given all the other sugar-loaded foods.

It’s just not that good. I really don’t feel any love in it, and Thai food is usually a haven of spicy warm tangy zesty love and care. On four out of the five dishes I tried, the ingredents feel thrown together; there is no harmony. The tofu in the pad see ew, for example, tastes straight from the package, like it hasn’t been prepared or cooked hardly at all. I wasn’t asked how spicy I wanted it, and the result is it tastes like a decent buffet in a small town casino. Not awful. Kinda okay. Certainly doesn’t seem to be harmful by any means. But in an area with both Ekkamai and Celadon, they really need to up their game. The pumpkin curry was an exception. It was, oddly enough, really good! Also, I think the space is too shiny and echoy and square(no real flow, no real love) and the TV really dominates.(At least the sound is off.) I have a theory that there are multiple cooks. I can believe the good reviews are real. Maybe they just need to retrain one(or more) of them.

I ordered from their restaurant using Eat 24. Not only was the food sub par but the service was the worst I’ve ever experienced! The Thai Iced Tea arrived without being mixed, like it was just thrown together. The Orange Chicken for my wife was a bunch of tasteless Chicken meatballs of the IKEA variety. Not only was the actual meat unfulfilling but the meatballs weren’t fried(I don’t even know if that’s possible) and couldn’t hold the sauce properly. I suppose that’s why actual pieces of fried chicken are used in every other Orange Chicken making kitchen on the planet! My son who usually loves spring rolls, could not stomach more than 1, though the entire order was for him. I had to encourage him to eat another. My meal wasn’t so bad, but it doesn’t redeem the waste of hard earned money for the rest of the experience. – This is the first time I have ever been yelled at by a server/delivery person. I’ve ordered food in Santa Ana, Orange, Garden Grove, Mid-Town Manhattan, the Lower East Side, Harlem, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, and countless locations all over West LA. It was actually pretty hilarious to watch the delivery person put my food down ONTHEGROUND to show me the number of times she tried to call my phone and proceed to lecture me on phone etiquette. I would think after the first time phone goes straight to voicemail one can probably figure out that my battery is dead/phone off/or some such other combination that most sane people would immediately recognize. This chick was crazy. Since she couldn’t speak English very well I could only really understand 40−50% of the insults. Something about me being charged and not getting food;how frustrating it was to be at my door right now; how disappointed and betrayed she felt in humanity; …it was such an inconvenience for this delivery person to come to my apartment and knock on my door to deliver the food. Look lady. don’t take it out on me, your only job is to get me my food. QUITYOURJOB! It was funny until you consider this: I spent nearly $ 40 on this meal and damn near $ 10 on the delivery alone. The restaurant charges $ 4 for delivery and I added(from my card during the order) $ 5 because I always tip for service. Well that’s the last time I do that! I’m almost motivated to order food from this restaurant and use a fake address…

Quite possibly, this is one of The Best Thai Restaurants in the area! Very great food for such a new place that just opened not too long ago. Their Crying Tiger is nice & tasty and not to dry & hard as with many other Thai places. Their Thai Tea is Perfect! Better than Natalee Thai across town! Pumpkin Curry, what more can I say? Especially, this time of year around Halloween time. Their rice is cooked to the right water-rice grain ratio. It really sucks to get such a great curry only to have the rice suck or all dried out and old. Theis is «Perfect»! Parking is limited to Street Parking in front BUT, there are many spaces out back and the short walk will do you well after being stuffed with all the yummy food! Cute, friendly waitresses that are willing to please and don’t seem pretentious to serve your dining needs! Some other places may be very obvious when servers complain in a Foreign Language about their customers. You definitely won’t find that kind of vibe here! Tip well, this cozy place is worth every penny! Restaurant is Clean & Modern, as are the restrooms! Nothing worse than having Thai Food and having to go in a horrible restroom after. This place exceeds any of those expectations!

I came here on a coupon and I am so glad I did. It is small but very nicely furnished. Nice atmosphere. I was so grateful to dine in a place that does not have music blaring. My friend and I were able to talk comfortably without shouting. The servers were very helpful and, while the service wasn’t super fast, it was adequate for a small place with only two people working there. The food was terrific. My friend and I ordered a number of dishes because there was a $ 50 minimum and the prices were very reasonable. I took a lot of food home. My favorite dish was the PET(Pumpkin, eggplant, tofu). I love a really crispy fried tofu. I also loved the white fish fillet in ginger sauce. There was plenty of parking in the back of the restaurant. Nice neighborhood restaurant. I will come back and next time I want to order some of the spicier dishes.

This place is sucks!!! Totally!!! 1st, FAKETHAIFOOD! You think you are taking Thai food? I’ve been to Thailand several times and went to Thai kitchen in Chiangmai and I never learnt a SWEET Tom yum soup! And excuse me, is that orange chicken in your entrees menu? Do you have bacon sandwich? What about taco and sushi? Since it’s not just Thai food served in Thai restaurant why not enlarge to world selection?! The Pineapple rice is not put in pineapple only fried with pineapple chops and still charge about $ 14 dollars! Gees are you here to fool American people who never been to Thailand? How dare you do that? They’re only about 10% similar to real Thai food!!! Totally cheating. 2nd, WAITRESSISSLEEP-WALKING Never have a smile while serving customers. And when she put the plate on our table she hit other plate and made big sound which is really unacceptable in this expensive restaurant(compare with their low quality food it is way expensive) make me feel eating in a dollar shop. Careless, waiting for 10 minutes no one come to pick the credit card. 3rd, FORCINGYOUTIPTHEIRHORRIBLESERVICEANDFAKETHAIFOOD!!! I don’t know what should should I say, we asked for bill and they print out a bill and include 18% tip in the subtotal! I always tip waitress 20% but I DON’T TIPLAZYONES! She even didn’t offer her smile why would I pay 18%??? And plus it’s even not suggest percentage it’s already calculated! Jesus! I have nothing to say but to stop all my friends to go to this hell shitty place!

I’m not a fan of A La Carte Thai Bistro. I came here for lunch yesterday with my co-workers. I ordered the pad see ew and granted the noodles were good and the dish was your typical pad see ew at any Thai restaurant. The things I didn’t like were that it included carrots(I never usually see carrots in pad see ew) and they were hard as were the broccoli. The chicken in the dish was also very chewy. The price was standard at about $ 9 – 10 but this place simply just was not my cup of tea. I don’t think I will be coming back here again.

We ordered«Chicken on fire» and«Pad See Ew» with beef. When my order came, it was«Pad See Ew» with chicken. We asked for exchange, the server didn’t say anything but, «Ok». I don’t think she’s being mean or anything, just she didn’t apologize for the mistake, that I wasn’t happy about. After she took the wrong dish away from us, I saw her checked the order on the monitor, and did some modification to it. I knew, that the mistake was made by her, not the kitchen. I got my right order when we almost finished the chicken. To be fair, she checked on us when we were eating, asked if we needed anything. Their food is decent, environment is clean and neat. Just the Thai iced coffee was bit too sweet.

I was just there tonight and I absolutely need to update my review. Why? Because I found my new favorite dish at A La Carte. Green Curry!!! Oh my god, it was excellent! It was creamy but not too heavy, perfectly spicy, full of flavor — in short, the best Thai curry I’ve ever had! Hubs *thought* he didn’t like Thai curry, but he really enjoyed this one. Two thumbs way up!

Stopped in for a quick bite. Very clean, waitress was expressless. A: Spare rib — nicely cooked, sauce was really spicy F: Spinach with peanut sauce — we added beef to it. I took one bite and did not care for the sauce, I sense a hint of coconut curry, I HATE curry. Anywho, spare rib and bowl of rice serve me right since I was craving rice.
