Their salad is The best salad ever!!! We try to order a big one because we are a group of four but the waiter is nice enough to suggest us to order a small one after we ordered all other food. Turns out he is right! I’ll go get this salad every time I go lax!

Came here to pick up food for my mom’s review, only complaint was they gave us very little marinara when we asked for extra but giving extra points for customer service since one of the workers helped carry all the food out to my car!!! Really appreciated it, food was delicious as always

I am sad to write this as Alejios has made my dinner several times a week for years. The bread and garlic still gets 5 stars. The chopped salad which I think is the best thing on their menu appears to have got smaller and has less ingredients was just a big plate of chopped iceberg lettuce with a few tomatoes not nearly as robust as previous times. Why I give such a poor rating is for the cheese ravioli it was so awful barely edible it was over cooked no cheese inside a pile of flavorless mush very disquesting and moreso disappointing. This was my neighborhood go to place but the last few months the quality has really gone down.

So we really love this place. And I am happiest when having the chopped salad. Yummy. Today, I noticed portions were smaller and the plates have changed to make the salad look bigger than it is. Plates were oval before, now they are round and not deep. The menu also changed and I could really do without the tacky advertisements as part of the menu. Every page had dental or attorney ads. Did I say it was tacky! The bathroom is now a pepto bismal pink color. It woke me up. Literally. Maybe the color was on sale. Service as always was beyond expectations and the garlic is the best. It’s hard but it will get a low rating today. I hated the menu. It’s still a great place but it’s going down on my scale of awesome-ness.

Best Italian restaurant in Los Angeles hands down! You haven’t lived until you try their chicken Parmesan & spaghetti. I can’t even describe how good it is. You just need to try it! They also serve the BEST garlic & bread before dinner. But be prepared to have major garlic breath because their garlic is no joke — it’s pure raw garlic & olive oil. Mmmmm, so good! This place is truly authentic & I couldn’t recommend it enough!

Delicious food, but everyone looks like mutants. Not sure if this place just attracts mutants or if the food makes people look that way.

Love coming here every time I’m near by. I can’t get enough of their warm bread with super strong garlic oil dip. Love love love the meat lasagna.

It might be a busy joint, but the food is good for the price. The garlic and bread is to die for. You might dispel a few vampires, but it is all good. The Alejos chopped salad is a reason to come back again. The large portions can be shared with 2 or more, and the house wine is not that bad for the price .The pizzas are not too greasy and they are very similar to old Roma. Come and experience this hole in the wall.

Ok place… The soup came after my mozzarella capresse and was not hot at all. I had better vegetable soup before… My mozzarella was ok. The basil on it looked old. Very very loud and noisy here… I could not hear my kids… My kid’s pasta was with so much butter… Too much that we needed to ask for something else … Being from out of town, and read that they have five stars… It’s very disappointing…

This place was delicious! The service was great. I had the lasagna. It was clearly homemade and so fresh. I agree with the other reviewers that the bread and oil are amazing. They brought the bread as soon as we set down. We ordered garlic cheese bread, but we didn’t need it. The portions are all generous even on the small plates! We finished our meal with tiramisu and cappuccino.

I don’t know how this place is so popular because the food was no where close to being good. I took my family here for dinner before I flew out of LAX and thought that it would be a nice place for the family to get together. I have to say, I am not at all impress. First was the wine glass, I ordered a Chardonnay and received in a tiny champagne like glass that was filled to the brim, not my style of drinking wine. The busser was pretty aggressive in my opinion since he was tossing plates and grabbing plates, not very professional. The food was very bland, no real flavor. Literally, I think Olive Garden is better than this place. I’ve had much better mom and pop Italian food elsewhere. Food was definitely overpriced for the quality that I received. The only good thing I would say was the desserts, but other than that, I would not recommend coming to this place.

I want Alejo’s to be great, I really do. At first glance Alejo’s has a ton of positives. It’s within walking distance from my house, with a great neighborhood family Italian vibe. They have successfully created a welcoming environment, with good service. But, after that, Alejo’s is simply gets a medium good rating. It’s really disappointing actually, because family style Italian cuisine should be great, satisfying and above all really tasty. In my opinion, the food is totally innocuous, and really is that a good thing? The bread with garlic olive oil is totally underwhelming and needs better seasoning and the oil lacks acidity. The spaghetti with meatballs has been good, at times but is inconsistent in its seasoning. My wife is a vegetarian and has given the fettuccine al fungi, and gnocchi several chances with only marginal and inconsistent success. And I think that may be what disappoints me the most, while the atmosphere is warm and inviting, the food is inconsistent. Sometimes the food is good, and on other occasions really discouraging. And it’s never great. We keep trying, and hoping, that the food will improve, because it’s so convenient and we love the atmosphere. And it is by no means a bad experience. They just need to step it up a little.

Good and reasonable food. Basic décor. Nice staff. We have always had good service. Now they have backup generators, to keep open during black outs!

Delicious, authentic Italian food. Perfect for dining in or carry-out, I’m always impressed. I typically order the ravioli and garlic bread, both of which are extremely flavorful. Would definitely recommend :)

What a great place! You don’t come here for the décor or who you might see at a table. This is family style Italian food. Large portions and great service. If you are originally from the East Coast. It might make you homesick.(It’s that good.) Worth the wait.

This is my new Italian restaurant! As soon as you are seated you are served this awesome tasty bread with garlic olive oil that is so hard to resist eating up immediately. The minestrone soup is great, and please try the Alejo Salad, because it is scrumptious. Don’t forget about the beef lasagna! I’ve only visited Alejo’s during early dinner, and there is always an ample amount of seating because the restaurant is humongous. The décor is simple, homey and comfortable. Just the way I like it!

The good: the bread and garlicky olive oil they give to start was amazing! I would eat just that for dinner. The bad: ambience is pretty average. I felt like I was eating in someone’s house, but not in a good way. For some reason, I ate there on National Crying Baby Night. The ugly: my shrimp pasta was really bad. The shrimp tasted weird. The pasta sauce was not seasoned. I ended up not eating it. The service was also pretty bad.

I have been coming here for a long time! It is a fam favorite, we have had various experiences with the food & service — BUT because we keep going back this is my rating: –Food– You get served a fresh bread with garlic olive oil which is really tasty, & you can also ask for more. Fried Mozzarella(appetizer) — simply delicious! Gnocchi with red & white sauce — SO good! I asked for a side of pesto to mix it all together &BAM! Beed Lasagna– mmmmm my dad really enjoyed it Fettuccine Alfredo — My mom said it was«ok» … lol –Service– Our server was nice, sometimes the service was a little slow, but the only downside is that we had to ask for new silverware because it was dirty — which is not a good thing to see when you are about to eat. –Décor– Eh! It is kinda dark in there in the afternoon, not like the«ooh», but like«where are the lights?» –Parking– SUCKS! So basically there is parking lot in the back which is tiny & since there are various restaurants in there, it is so packed! There is parking in the front, which is usually taken.

Good solid Italian grub with fair prices. I enjoyed the Shrimp Diablo and shared a chopped house salad which was excellent. . The bread was good but I would have preferred it to be a little hotter and served with butter. The Spumoni ice cream pie is outstanding
