Best café you’ve never heard of. Seriously, go check it out. Dante is a stand up dude and his food is even better. I would give seven stars if I could figure out how to do it.

Wow! Unexpected. Delicious healthy and inexpensive. Will be back and may even hire them to cater if an event comes up.

The food here is exceptional! The owner is so courteous, even though he’s always busy with catering he always takes time to make me a dinner! My favorite is the Chicken with mushroom sauce! It’s soooo good! I dream about it!

A hidden gem with exceptional service & food! Dante does a phenomenal job of making you feel welcomed. I am obsessed with the chicken salad. Definitely coming back soon. BTW, cash only.

I’m from SD, but I had a lunch meeting in the area and the hosts slipped me a Dante’s menu to order from. I wasn’t expecting much, so I ordered the Cuban Burger. WOW! It was incredibly flavorful. I’m going to have to make a trip to LA just for one of these burgers. Everyone else’s food looked fantastic, especially the chicken mango salad, which wasn’t on the menu, but is apparently a favorite with regulars.

What a delightful experience we had at Dantes; Jose & his staff make you feel like family & our retiree group feasted on fresh ceviche, delicious empanadas, mini chicken toastaditas then topped our meal with a yummy flan with fresh strawberries & dulce de leche mini cakes. Thank you for a lovely celebration!

Jose (the owner) does an amazing job at creating healthy and delicious plates. My husband first introduced me to this place when we started dating. Years later we found ourselves using Jose/Dante’s Café for our wedding. He catered a wedding for 200 people without a problem. The food was delicious, warm, well proportioned, and presented elegantly; he and his staff looked elegant in all black attire as they catered the memorable night. Jose’s knowledge and professionalism went above and beyond what I could have ever imagined on that special day.
Not only is he great for catering, he is also great at feeding you a delicious meal on a regular basis! ALL OF HIS FOOD IS FRESH. So what does that mean? That each plate will taste AMAZING and will be GOOD FOR YOU: no frozen products!!! He takes pride in his work so when you get a plate, you can rest assured that you will get quality food.
Personally, my favorite is the chicken breast with mango salad. I love the juicy, tender grilled chicken that is served with moist rice and a refreshing salad. His fresh drinks (horchata, Jamaica, etc…) go perfectly with this plate.
All in all: Dante’s restaurant (and the owner Jose) is a great choice for a nice lunch, a romantic dinner, an important meeting that needs to be catered, or a memorable wedding that needs nothing but quality food and excellent service.

This is my 2^nd time ordering catering by Dante’s. I absolutely love this place. It’s a bit hole in the wall but aren’t most great places? For catering, call ahead. They can accommodate most orders with a day or two notice. If you’re just stopping by, place your order ahead by phone. Will save you some waiting time. The food is worth any wait though!

Dante’s Café food spot is one of a kind place. The owner Jose knows what food is all about. The lemon chicken dish is my fav, but I also like eating the Alfredo Pasta. He makes all types of cuisine (mexcan, american, italian) as well, but everytime I eat there I eat the lemon chicken or the pasta and some yummy bread he makes with cheese and spinach.

absolutely delicious! dante’s bring unique flavor to familiar foods. i love eating there and ordering for events.

Dante’s Café is particularly special to me. Since the first time I visited, I was treated like family, There is a pretty interesting range of Latin flavor infused dishes, aside form the traditional; they are all delicious.
I think this would be a great place to go get a recommendation, the Chef will not disappoint your curiosity.

Yay dante’s! our office is very nearby and has meetings a few times a week that requires catering. dante’s is the BEST of them all for catering! i also eat their food for my personal lunches on a regular basis and the owner is very down-​to-​earth and service-​oriented. OH. And everything IS truly made from scratch/​love. Tasty. I like the chicken salad. It comes with yummy roasted veggies a light dressing and lotsa chunks of well-​seasoned moist chicken breast. their fresh juices are incredible as well. all very very well done.
I could also eat their beans and rice ALONE for a yummy meal.
I also second the choice of the pork ribs. The sauce is a perfect balance… not too salty or greasy. Fresh and balanced are the words I’d use to describe Dante’s.
And WHAT a value. The Chicken salad is only around 7 bucks.

Fantastic little traditional Latin American restaurant in between Koreatown and Echo Park. The chef has his own catering business and cooks everything from scratch. If you are a regular, there is usually a small appetizer, gratis. Décor is not much to speak of, unless you are into soccer, because there is usually a game on. Cyber café as a bonus. Try the marinated pork ribs or the half-​chicken. Very tasty and wonderful sides of rice and beans and vegetables. Cash only.
