Haykazuni Meat Market

One of the few local Armenian markets left in Hollywood. I placed an order for BBQ today and stopped by to buy some groceries as well. Great selection of fresh fruit and veggies, plus a bunch of hard to find Armenian and Russian products. They were pretty busy when I walked in but the service was great. The BBQ was delicious, especially the kabob!

What an adorable family-​run grocery shop. The lady at the front counter is so sweet and friendly. I bought 2lbs of lamb and they cut it perfectly to my order. I highly recommend this place! Will definitely be returning. Prices were fantastic as well! I love, love, LOVE this family. The mom is such a sweetheart. Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.

I hate to review without having tried anything in the store but this is for customer service (do I even count)…The owner of the store just started chastising me because I was waiting for «his spot» (without realizing it) and was incredibly short– he told me I couldn’t park there – I’m like why and seemed aggravated when apparently I didn’t know who he was or why I couldn’t park — with no explanation. Super rude. There are no words on the dictating the parking spots, I mean the whole thing was really ridiculous. If he had just explained without being rude I would have been absolutely fine. Had the gall to come up to me and get in my window and ask me what my question was, just aggressive. I’m a 120 pound yoga teacher, so I’m not intimidating nor abrasive, but yeah, felt really jarred by the encounter.

I love coming here for my meat! Small family owned shop with friendly service. Prices are comparable or cheaper than other places but the meat is fresher.

This is the ONLY place i buy my bbq and related things from. They are definitely the best with quality and service. It has been 6 years i have been buying from them. If you want the best quality meat and vegies this is the place you should buy it from hands down.

VERY friendly and helpful. It’s a family shop, dad, mom, daughter all works there and they are so welcoming. They will explain the types of meats and what to use for certain dishes (which is great for people who aren’t familiar with all the cuts of meat). I would highly recommend this place. They will cook your meets right on the grill for you (if you like it unmarinated). Prices on veggies and fruits are cheaper than Vons and they have all the basic things you need.
Very fresh meat also. I got an entire leg of lamb (walked in same day — might have to call and reserve to be sure you get one) and he cut off the tendons and fat and said he is cutting off stuff I don’t really need for my dish that way I don’t have to pay for things I don’t need. Amazing people. Amazing store. Amazing products.

If you like farmers markets and fresh cut meat you have to visit Haykazuni. Every time I visit LA, I have to stop by Haykazuni Market. Its run by a local family and the service is always excellent. They always have the freshest fish and meat in town. And prices are even cheeper than supermarket. I always get my favorite lamb chops and salmon when i am there. Highly recommended.

The best meat market. I actually live in the Valley, but every time I need to buy meat for BBQ, I go down to Haykazuni. It’s always fresh and well prepped. They have fair prices. Owners are very friendly and helpful.

This is my neighborhood butcher go-​to. I wanted a leg of lamb, de-​boned and trimmed. They needed one day, but the next afternoon they had an amazing piece of lamb for me. It was $ 5 bucks cheaper a pound than another meat market down the street where I had purchased a leg of lamb previously that was poorly trimmed.
A family owns this little market and you can tell from the friendly service. Another great option… they will spit cook any of the meat or vegetables they sell for NO EXTRA charge.
If you need quality meat (better then Ralph’s) and don’t want to pay McCall prices then swing by here.

I didn’t grow up in the generation with family markets within walking distance. But, this is what I imagine your local market would look /​feel like. While I was waiting to eat at Pa-​Ord, I went to look at the market. The fruits and veggies looked so fresh. nothing like what you find at supermarkets. They had unique little plums which I don’t find at regular markets often either. The prices were really good for the good quality of produce! I think the next time I go to Pa-​Ord, I’m going to drop by after and buy some fruit.
