This is my new favorite Indian brunch spot in LA. Came here for the lunch buffet at 3pm on a Sunday, after most Indian restaurants were closed for lunch. The food was excellent, with a variety of choices for both vegetarian and non-vegetarians. All the staff were extremely kind and accommodating.

Excellent food. My only *complaint* is that they quoted us a 45−60min delivery time and it took an hour and 45min! They didn’t even call to say they were going to be that late. We will order again because the food was so good, but will make sure we order with more time in advance.

We thought we would try somewhere new rather than our usual place in Glendale. Huge disappointment. I don’t know what all these Unilocalers are thinking! Obviously they haven’t had yummy Indian Food. We ordered the chicken masala-BLAND, the lamb vandalioo-ok flavor but lamb rough to the bite. The Naan was doughy and limp. Definitely regret going there. Should have stuck to our fav place or just gone to the Thai noodle place a couple of doors down! This place seems like an easy take out free delivery joint with ok food. Unilocalers beware! Especially if you’re looking for delicious Indian food!

India’s Restaurant reminds me of the food from the homeland. The garlic naan, chicken tikka masala and chicken jalfarezi are all the favorites. Being an Asian food lover, I especially like Indian spices and in US you do get restaurants like these, but you will always miss the chicken spices with flavors of India. I would say this place fills the gap, and its extremely close to the taste back there. Its more like having an Indian kitchen in US now . The food here is amazing and delicious, the flavors and the aroma give you a perfect five star restaurant feeling, and the ambiance will make you feel like you are in little India.

It’s pretty sad for me to give this restaurant one star. I came here a few times and I thought their food was good, but I had an incident that made me change my mind. I first came to this restaurant with my friend and we were here for dinner. As a dinner experience, I thought the portions did not live up to expectations. If you order for example Chicken Tikka Massala, you will probably get a medium sized bowl but with only 4 – 5 small pieces of chicken in it. This dish is about $ 13 so I think they can do better. From then on, I only went to this restaurant for their lunch buffet. They always have Chicken Tikka Massala, Samosas, Goat Curry, Chicken Tikka, and other very good dishes that I always enjoy. Some peoeple have written their Chicken Tikka was dry but I didn’t have that experience, I always thought that for $ 11 it was a great buffet. However, the last time I was here, we arrived a half hour before the buffet ended and we didn’t really feel welcome, which is rare because up to this point, I had always been treated nicely. Anyway, when we arrived we got the feeling that our waitress wasn’t happy with it and he kinda hinted we could’ve come a little earlier cause the buffet was about to end. We were offered water and that was the last time we saw the waitress. We had our meal and I paid with my credit card. I tipped and we left. A week after that, I was trying to locate some expenses in my credit card review when I see that I had been charged an extra $ 10 in my credit card from this place. I went back to find the receipt and it was true; they charged an extra $ 10 to my final check. Luckily the bank helped me solve the issue and the money was returned to me. I know this can sound as an exaggeration to many; after all $ 10 is not much. But just imagine them taking $ 10 from me and then from others, at the end of the day, that adds up! And for me it wasn’t about the money, it was about the principle. I had talked so nicely about this restaurant. I told my friends about it and that they were nice and their food was great and they try to steal from me. It’s NOTOK to take money from people without them knowing. It’s NEVEROK to do this to customers, especially me who’d go about once a month and bring one or two friends with me. It’s disappointing and it would have been nice to receive an apology; a call or an email because the management ended up finding out about this when the bank worked with them for the resolution of my case, but for them it was as it hadn’t happened. Never again.

The food is exceptional if you get to have any(after your boyfriend eats all the meat by accident which isn’t hard to do!!!). Full disclosure: I was the boyfriend. Like five little tiny teeny bites of chicken floated in our $ 12 chicken tikka masala order. — Make sure to get the chana saagwala and nargisi kofta. — Order your chicken tikka masala SPICY because the medium is not spicy. — Get at least one order of garlic basil naan for each person.

Maybe I’ve been spoiled by the best India food back home in Portland Oregon(India Oven), but food at this place was not even comparable to India Oven back home. Food was good, but not great. Restaurant was nice and clean. Bathroom was dirty and smelt like pee. Staff was very friendly. Sadly wouldn’t go back if I were in town again.

Lunch. Buffet. It’s superb. I’ve even had the buffet a few times solo because it’s just been on my mind all day. Chicken tikka masala, fried pakoras, saag paneer are musts. Also like the goat curry and the potato salad, which I don’t think has a special name. But it’s good. Best $ 12 lunch around. I try to aim for two plates, but some days you just need that three. Even if i know I’ll want to take a nap right after, I’ll still have no regrets. My one knock: the naan always comes out a little overdone and crispy. Much prefer it to be soft and fluffy, but I can’t really complain when it’s unlimited.

This is my favorite Indian restaurant in LA. My in-laws who are from India and my friend whose parents own an Indian restaurant in the bay area all agree that this place is pretty good. Also, India’s Restaurant has catered several of my work events and my wedding. The people who work at the restaurant are very friendly and accommodating, and the food is delicious! Even when I have ordered catering for over 100 people, the quality is always high. My favorite dish is the Gobi Bhajee. I love spicy food, and if you ask for it extra-spicy, they actually make it that way! The channa masala, daal, korma, and matar paneer are also delicious, and can be made spicy if you request it. I’d recommend skipping the okra — even though it’s one of my favorite Indian dishes, there are other veggie dishes here that are much better. I haven’t tried the meat dishes here, but my friends who have say they are very good. The restaurant has never been very crowded when I have been there — I think they do more take-out business. That said though, it is clean and the décor is nice. It seems a bit fancier than a typical Indian take-out restaurant. I think they have a buffet for lunch.

The food was great except for the unwanted items in my bag of papadum. There’s something that looks like a rock and a random small piece of cardboard. Sad cause If those items hadn’t been there this would be a quite positive review.

My friend had never had an Indian lunch buffet, and based on the high Unilocal reviews, this seemed like a good one to try. While I understand that buffets have their drawbacks(food that isn’t cooked to order, and seasoning that can be a little muted), they’re also a great way to experience a bunch of different dishes. Admittedly, this one turned out to be less special than I was hoping. To begin, the staff is very welcoming, and the restaurant is comfortable enough. But I told the woman who greeted me that we would be two. She told me that she’d bring me fresh naan, but then brought it right away – it arrived well before my friend did. Why wouldn’t you wait until the entire party arrived? Unfortunately, by the time we tried it, it was cold, and I wasn’t overly fond of the flavor(nor was he). The buffet had very good variety. Standout dishes included a very flavorful goat, and I also very much enjoyed the okra(even though it was a touch odd to leave the stems on). But the rest of the buffet was A-OK at best. The veggie samosa, the chicken tikka masala and the zucchini(or at least some sort of squash) dish were all fine but not special. I’ve definitely had more flavorful saag dishes, and, as we work our way to the more negative elements, the tandoori chicken was juicy but had almost no flavor, and the chicken tikka was quite dry(i.e. overcooked). There was a fish curry that, to be honest, I just didn’t like – I warned my friend not to try it. The rice pudding dessert was another«just ok» dish. It was sweet but seemed to be missing depth of flavor. On top of that, we saw people going back up to the buffet with their dirty plates – and nobody from the staff intercepted them to stop them(I suspect they didn’t notice, as they were all chatting behind the counter at that point). Luckily, we were both done at that point, but if we hadn’t been, we wouldn’t have gone back up. If I may suggest to the restaurant: get a sign that says, «Please take a fresh plate each time you visit the buffet.» It would go a long way toward preventing this sort of behavior, which can endanger your patrons. Without the incident at the end, they’d be 3 stars, but with it, it’s hard to give them the A-OK. Sorry. I was really hoping to love this place, but I don’t think I’d go back.

Ordered take out through Eat24 as my girlfriend and I were in the mood for Indian Food and saw the number of great reviews. — Chicken Tikka Masala Standard dish that everyone knows. Apparently is a national dish of England. Spices were on point. Sauce goes great with everything; rice, naan, or just on top of the chicken. Chicken was tender, sauce was thick, and lots of food. — Chicken Jalfrazi Was a tad bit oily but the flavors were great. First time trying this dish and the chicken was so tender. It broke apart as I tried to pick it up with a fork. Veggies were delicious. Garlic and ginger also stood out to give the dish some different flavor notes. — Alu Samosa(2 Pcs) Was still crispy by the time the food was delivered. Interior spices and mixtures were great. Not overly mushy or bland. Interior mixture to the exterior fried skin ratio was perfect. — Garlic Basil Naan The basil and garlic tasted fresh. Naan was cooked perfectly and was not doughy. The naan was used to dip in the tikka masala, with the sauces that came with the samosas, and just by itself. Couldn’t get enough of it. Overall, food was delicious. Spices were perfect. Great even with takeout. You won’t be disappointed when you order from here. Prices were reasonable as well.

In all caps, their sign proclaims«INDIA’S RESTAURANT». Below that, it says«Cuisine of India». You’ll notice vinyl lettering on the window: «Authentic Indian Cuisine» Once inside, just to be sure, they club you over the head with Indian music. In other words, don’t order a burrito. Actually, this is America and you can order a burrito. They’ll just feed you vindaloo and tikka masala so good you’ll start singing in Hindi.

No offense LA, but every time I’ve come to visit and I get Indian food, it’s really bad. This place was no different. I’ve come to the conclusion that there are no good Indian restaurants in LA :( Ordered take out on my last night in LA. I order Chicken Makhni, Garlic Naan, and Mushroom Rice. The Chicken Makhni tasted like tomato sauce straight from a can and had no depth of flavor or spices added to it. The Garlic Naan… shame. Just shame. I agree with Samantha’s review, it was DEFINITELY frozen or store bought in some kind of way, I can tell when naan is not fresh and not homemade. The Mushroom Rice… another shame. Do not add frozen veggies(peas, carrots, and green beans) to rice along with a few skimpy pieces of mushroom and call it ‘Mushroom Rice’ like it’s a thing. It’s cruel and unusual. Also, and maybe this is just me, but isn’t rice complimentary and supposed to come with your meal? It’s a bit odd to me that you have to purchase rice separately, but my brother said that’s how it is out there. I’m used to rice coming with your dishes on the east coast, but I digress. If anyone can recommend a legit authentic good Indian restaurant that’s out there, I’ll make sure to hit it up the next time I’m there :)

I love coming to this buffet for lunch. The food tastes very fresh and the chicken is not dry! White meat at buffets tend to get very dry, but not the one I had here. I’m really bad with names of Indian dishes so I’m not even gonna try… but I’ve usually liked all their curries and tend to prefer those over the fried foods. The proteins vary: I’ve seen goat and fish and the usual chicken. I love the spinach and the dish with the peas and cheese, sooo good with some soft naan bread. This restaurant is kind of big but usually not very busy when I went… Not sure why. Maybe because it’s lunch? For some reason it usually takes some time to get our check and pay, but otherwise the service is good.

Mmmmm, so glad I discovered India’s restaurant which is only 10 minute drive from where I live… Came here for dinner(as I had no idea they had a lunch buffet — for next time!) and ordered: FOOD(4⁄5 stars) — 1) Lamb Vindaloo(5⁄5 stars)[Lamb Cooked with Special Spices along with Potatoes and Tomatoes to make a Thick Gravy. A Specialty of our Chef]: Omg so good. Love the lamb vindaloo here, the curry is full of flavor and done so well. I asked for extra spicy, and it came out spicy but not to the point where I’m regretting it. 2) Chicken Tikka Masala(4⁄5 stars)[Boneless Tandoori Chicken Tikka Cooked in Clay Oven and in the Special Curry & Yogurt Sauce]: Chicken tikka masala’s never my first choice but since the boyfriend loves this we always get it. India’s restaurant does it quite well I must say. Creamy and not too oily as some places make it. Yum! 3) Tandoori Chicken Half(3⁄5 stars)[Marinated in Yogurt, It’s own juice over a Bed of Red Hot Charcoal and Roasted to a Crisp Tenderness in our Special Clay Oven]: This was okay. Flavor was decent but chicken was too dry, a big no no. Don’t think I would order this again. 4) Onion Kulcha(4⁄5 stars)[A North Indian Specialty– Naan Stuffed with Onions]: First time trying this! I usually get the garlic naan, but so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone. The naan is fluffier than usual since it’s stuffed with purple onions — must say it comes close to my love for garlic naan. 5) Mango Lassi(4⁄5 stars): I was glad it wasn’t too thick and sweet. However, wish it came a little colder — it was slightly more lukewarm than I would like it to be. PRICE(5⁄5 stars) — Spent less than $ 40 pre-tip! Pretty cheap for delicious Indian food. SERVICE(4⁄5 stars) — Our waiter was funny. He brought out some desserts at the end and said«You ordered this right?» I had paused for a brief moment and said«–No – I don’t think…» and then he started laughing and said he was joking. He was also shocked when I had ordered extra spicy and asked where I came from. Guess not too many foreigners(non-Indian?) eat very spicy huh? Would’ve given 5 stars for service but at the end he asked us to write a review. It’s not a major thing — but somehow I don’t really like it/feel comfortable when they specifically ask for reviews… OVERALL– Yes I’m coming back! I heard they have a lunch buffet — must try. Also… apparently free delivery with minimum $ 20 purchase?! So easy to spend $ 20! Hopefully I live close enough for their free delivery service! PS. Check in for 15% off dinner!
