Just stopped in here during my last visit to the Ivy. It’s absolutely adorable! I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely owner, who was effortlessly charming and helpful. She does amazing things for animals,(all of her dogs are rescues), as well as having an eye for the unique and beautiful. Definitely a spot to visit if looking for one-of-a-kind gifts.

Indigo Seas is definitely an interesting little shop, if you can get to the items to look at. It’s very cluttered, and nearly impossible to shop in if you’re in a wheelchair or have a stroller. The employee was nice enough to move a few things to clear a path for me to get part way through the first room. But I could only move on that one little path and see the items within my immediate reach. I ended up buying 2 towels from Italy, and would have purchased a LOT more if I’d been able to access it. But it seems handicapped peoples’ money isn’t as green as everyone else’s. Now knowing they own the completely inaccessible Ivy, I probably won’t be returning. But dammit they have cute stuff! *sigh* I’m debating between 2 and 3 stars. But since I couldn’t really shop here — I mean couldn’t even turn the wheelchair around to leave — had to be wheeled out backwards… yeah. Gonna have to stick with just 2. They keep the 2 stars because there’s really unique cute gifts here, including antiques, knick knacks and furniture. Some of the prices are ridiculous, but some of the prices are really reasonable.

This is a gorgeous shop on a beautiful street! They own the Ivy restaurant next door. It’s packed with wonderful findings from all over the world. Bright colored star fish, postcards from Italy, tablecloths, and Indian Sari’s. There are roses everywhere, and the owner has created 2 amazing books filled with photos of the essence of the store, as well as her travels and life. This is a must-see place if you’re in LA. It literally takes you to another land!
