Great find! If you like authentic Yucatan cuisine, this is a great place for you. Unassuming yet delicious, they have a lot of dishes, all made from scratch in-house. They also have Mexican sweet breads and other goods for takeout, including tamales, etc. We were just walking by and decided to stop for some delicious papadzules. More importantly, open for breakfast Saturday and Sunday.

Service terrible! Close earlier than descripted and sell products when promised they would hold them for you. The oljandras are delicious. If this was made elsewhere I would change them For now they are it.

We love and appreciate this Yucateco home cooking! We live in Riverside and there are no places out here with Yucateco cuisine. We’ve been going to La Flor every Christmas for the last few years, to spread the Yucateco love amongst our family and friends who are not from Yucatan. Everything we’ve purchased has been DELICIOUS and loved by everyone we’ve introduced this food to. We’ve bought the tamales colados, vaporcitos, cochinita, frijoles negros colados, rice, and bollilos. Last year we also purchased the crown rib roast(which was divine), but this year we decided to keep it as a Yucateco Christmas. If we lived closer, I would be ordering from La Flor on a regular basis. The mouth watering food is so worth the wait. Thank you to the exceptional Annie who is always so helpful and with a smile on her face. Annie, I haven’t met you in person, but my message to you is… eres una linda hermosa. I cherish this establishment and may you continue to succeed. Many blessings to you and your family, Merry Christmas. de tu amiga Yucateca, Maria(Terry) Rodriguez y el Jaliciense, Tony Gutierrez

1st time here to try out authentic yocatecan food, since I have never actually visited the state personally! But after trying this food I’m looking forward to visiting some day real soon.

Delicious food! Takes me back to my hometown whenever I come here! I have got to say Sunday’s are busy, so it’s a good idea if you pre-order over the phone. Yes, on hot days you sweat by just standing in-line but so what? I don’t mind as long as I can enjoy my authentic Yucatecan food once I get home.

These guys came to my workplace as a pop-up restaurant today. OMG I am completely enamored. I think it might actually be my favorite Mexican place. The black beans has a nutty flavor which is absolutely delightful. The rice is jazzed up and the tamales are flavorful without being imposing on your palate. The corn tortillas for the tacos are perfect texture and flavorful without an overpowering corn flavor. I hope you guys come back.

We love this place! My husband and I came by to bring my sister for a work application but we ended up having breakfast here and had their version of tamales and sopes and they were amazing-almost like moms. And they had this agua de chaya(lemonade and Chaya-spinach family) and maaaaan it was refreshing, sweet tasting and something if drink everyday. Great service.

Everything is awesome. Seriously, you can’t go wrong with anything this place serves up. You know you found a good spot when cops, limo drivers, taxi drivers, DWP workers, and firefighters block the street just to get their grub on. I very much recommend to-go.

The cochinita pibil is delicious and we have been going to this place for many years. They charge $ 9 per pound and I think it’s very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this place.

Buenisimo! The empanadas are really good! But there is only 5 rables two inside and 3 on the side walk outside. I recommend for a quick meal or take out!

As I dumbfoundedly rattled off the names of all the food items I wanted to try here… I slowly realized I had ordered WAY more food than I would be able to consume in one sitting… because I am an idiot… an idiot that loves food. KIBBEH A deep fried meatball of sorts composed of ground beef, cracked wheat, mint and spices… topped with pickled red onions and house habanero paste. These were just a tad bit dry as the wheat and spices overpowered the beef quite a bit. I would skip this next time. EMPANADAS Corn dough stuffed tunrnover with your choice of beans, cheese or ground beef. Served with cabbage salad and a tomato sauce. We got one of each… the cheese and beef were the standouts. PAPADZULES Enchilada-like rolled tortillas simmered in a sauce made of a blend of espazote and pumpkin seed paste, stuffed with hard boiled eggs and garnished with zesty tomato sauce, ground pumpkin seed and chili powder. Great mix of flavors… all this needed was some pork. MORCILLA(BLOODSAUSAGE) TACOS Definitely an acquired taste… traditional old world pork blood sausage mixed with maws, flavored with mint, mayan spices, roasted onions and yellow pepper. Strong flavors with a unique lingering aftertaste… must try for adventurous pork fans. CLOSEUP Yes. COCHINITAPIBILTACOS Suckling pulled pork marinated in annatto seed(achiote) and citrus juice, wrapped in banana leaves and baked to perfection. Hot, juicy, flavorful pork topped with pickled red onions… great combination of flavors. CLOSEUP Because good pork deserves more closeups. And idiots deserve to overeat too.

A couple days ago I saw an article titled«20 Tacos to Try Before You Die in Los Angeles» and decided to try a couple of them and see how good they are and so we did a TACOMARATHONDAY. We got to try 5 different taco establishments(Guidos, Mexicali Taco & Co., La Flor de Yucatan, Mariscos 4 Vientos and Marisco Jalisco) in one day. The establishments were picked based on location solely, so you can say we did a random Taco marathon. Can you imagine how many tacos we inhaled in one day??? This review is just for La Flor De Yucatan. If you want to see the other establishments, please go to its individual Unilocal page and look me up. Really, this place is actually a small grocery store, so don’t get taken aback with the décor and all. We ordered their Cochinita Pibil tacos and the Tamales. Cochinita Pibil tacos… eh, I have had better but the tamales was very good. They had three different tamales that after finished eating, we wished we order all three. But, we only tried their chicken pork tamales. That was one of the best Tamales I’ve ever tried I think.

Very good regional Mexican food. I dated a girl who’s father was actually Mayan from Yucatan, and spoke a dialect of Mayan in addition to Spanish and English. He loved this restaurant and would bring home food from here once every week or two. The Panuchos are absolutely to die for — very delicious. Many of the other dishes are different than what I am used to, but quite good.
