Food on the Father’s Day menu was very limited and very bleh… but the mariachi show was fabulous. You pay for the show with the food prices, but it is well worth it.

I love the Mariachi!!! Show is awesome, still the Best ever! Food and service not so good, outrageous prices, sorry… but over $ 30 for everyone of the 5 selections on the menu??? They need to figure out the restaurant part. maybe a price per person would be better and a separate drink menu. I wish I could come here more often but at this price if anything it will every couple of years

FORGETABOUTALLTHEMIXEDREVIEWSYOU’VEREAD. Here is an honest 100% real review. The mariachi and the restaurant itself are an impeccable duo that with excursion and joy they do what they do best. The food is amazing, authentic, and for the price expect what you paid for(amazing food). I got asada fajitas, my fiancé got enchiladas, and my brother got asada plate: ALL of the plates where very delicious. Even the tortillas were really good. If you’re not in content you can always talk to the manager who is ALWAYS roaming around in the restaurant talking to people and ensuring everything is ok. This mariachi is meticulous in their music and charismatically plays with professionalism. IF you don’t like loud music(which is rare with true Mexican people and families) then I wouldn’t suggest sitting in the front of the stage during their shows. Personally I LOVED it and I sat as closely as possible. The singers have STRONG pipes that can go on for hours, and the band itself is VERY clean in their technique. I’m a musician myself and I pay attention to those kinds of things. All in all, as a Mexican, I had a great experience that I don’t even get when I’m in Placita Olvera. Closest Mexican experience I’ve had north of the border. I will never forget my first experience here. (Total biased part here) I proposed to my girlfriend Friday May 27th, 2016 at this restaurant and I want to give a special thanks to Arturo(the manager), Checo(Music Director), and Chuy(Great person and contact) for making all of this happen. You guys are great people and I know you guys give your best to ensure that everyone ultimately has a great time while they are here. God bless you guys and hope to you all the best.

Really the worse experience ever the food is horrible horrible not even edible. Salsa had no flavor chips nasty stale. Ordered Carne en Su Jugo more like Carne en Oil. The Campero Steak was so tough we couldn’t eat it. The drinks have to be cheap tequila with only one it gave us the worse headache ever. The only good thing is the Mariachi. Our waitress was really nice too but everything else was horrible. Oh yes they charge a service charge? Really so they include the tip 20% when everything is so horrible they must figure nobody tips? Plus over priced our bill was over $ 400 not worth it not going back ever.

Came here on a Sunday night with my boyfriend. I had enchiladas and he had the carne asada. All of the food was great! The atmosphere is so fun with the live mariachi. We both enjoyed ourselves! Only thing was, we didn’t see the carne en su jugo on the menu which was disappointing but overall great time!

omggggg I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place?! I kno they’ve been around since at least the early 80’s and now they have diff owners and management… they def have a lotta tourists and it’s SUPERLOUD inside with am the live mariachi music and Mexican folk dancing… u really don’t go here for the food but for the ambience. the food isn’t authentic Mexican at all(it’s white people Mexican food– like stuff from ‘el torrito’) and bland but the her the margaritas and other cocktails and go with ur frenz or family that s visiting from outta town! but I’m warning u: IT’S SUPERDUPERCRAAAAAAAAZYLOUDINHERE!!! so for that and the food, I can’t give them more than 3 stars.

I brought my mom here yesterday for a Mother’s Day celebration. Food was just okay and not worth the price but overall the entertainment made up for it. The mariachis were the best I’ve heard in a very long time! I will definitely be back to listen to them. I would have given them five stars but had to subtract one due to the bland food. I’m hoping that the food is better next time could have been due to a prefix Mother’s Day meal.

The food is boring and bland, the mariachi… I don’t care about it, which is what kinda keeps this place alive and worth coming for people that enjoy mariachi music.

If I was forced to say one nice thing about this place, I would have to say that the mariachi show was really good. The food is absolutely gross and cold for the prices they were charging…

This is the Best Mariachi house north of the border. Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano have set a new bar in the Mariachi arena. You will be treated to a super amazing show that will leave you mesmerized. I felt chills with their electrifying performance!

The Mariachi were amazing, but the food was horrible! I ordered enchiladas Suizas because I thought that this commercialized Mexican restaurant couldn’t mess that up… but I was wrong. The chicken inside the enchiladas looked and tasted like ground tuna. Horrible. My friends ordered chicken mole and chile relleno that they said were below average. I would consider visiting again for drinks and appetizers, only to enjoy the music.

Amazing music, great food, great drinks. A must if you enjoy mariachi music and even if you don’t, give it a shot(while having a shot), you will come away impressed by the pure musicianship of the legendary group that calls this place home.

I just got home from a horrible service here, and before I forget I better write all the details. So I brought my mom here for her 68th bday, and she loved it. I on the other hand did not. First, the hostess called us to our table to later remove us for a larger party. So we waited a bit longer. No big deal. Then finally got seated and ordered appetizers, queso fundido de chorizo, and there was no chorizo. Keep in mind this was only the second show. I took a party of 10 and not only did they forget the camarones on both of our molcajetes, but they completely forgot my sisters burrito. I called the waitress over and told her about our order. She apologized and was kind enough to cancel our burrito, and bring us out some shrimp. By the time we got them the molcajetes were cold. Pues ya para que. I came here as a kid over 20 years ago. Food was and still is mediocre, service was better then, and the mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano was, and still is one of the best mariachis I’ve listened to. Will I be back? Maybe, I just hope they get their shit together. I really want this place to stick around. I usually don’t write reviews, but I feel that this place deserves it. Sorry. Not sorry.

This is a hidden gem near MacArthur Park! Come and try it out. We need more places like this in the neighborhood. It’s lineage goes back to 1969 and it’s gone through some times but it’s totally renovated and had new owners including Los Camperos mariachi band. Great food, drink and entertainment. What else can you ask for?
