Matthew was a delight to work with: knowledgeable, upbeat and very easy-​going. We found him through his years spent designing for another high-​end pool and landscape company in the area. He took my vision and made it better then I could have hoped for. Matthew communicated everything he was doing very clearly and made me feel very included in the whole design project. He also put his design in context, drawing on examples of where he was getting his influence from and referencing projects around L. A that he loved, so I felt great, confident and inspired and was overjoyed with the eventual outcome. A great guy!

I have worked with a variety of different designers before coming across Matthew’s name from a premier architectural and landscape construction firm, and I can tell you that unlike many designers, Matthew doesn’t make you feel like you’re intruding upon his artistic expression and architectural sensibilities when you discuss what you do or don’t like. As a customer, he’s there for you to recommend, solidify visualizations, and take charge as much or as little as you desire. That’s really nice and confidence inspiring. He developed a backyard patio plan for me, was meticulous about every detail, and clearly takes ownership of the task. We had a couple of changes that I wanted Matthew to incorporate after the initial design consultation and he was able to work with the change of placement of a number of elements while still maintaining the core objectives of the overall design… an open and inviting feel with a nice balance of casual and formality in a backyard patio/​pool design.
