Just came to eat here with my friend, I ordered 3 tostadas mixtas in which we expected the shrimo to be cut not grounded and watered down. My friend ordered a soup 7 mares in which it was a soup made in the microwave, the shrimp was small, not peeled, the crab was frozen disfrosted in the microwave. I do not recommend this place at all, if you want extra tostadas 5 for $ 1, the large drinks are medium not large, service is bad, I got served first then 20 minutes later my friend got served, tables are dirty, you need to ask them to clean the table. We will never come back to this place at all, had to get a refund for horrible frozen food.

I’m surprised to see a few bad reviews. I like this place a lot. Cool patio or inside dining. The food is great! Good prices. The people are very nice. It’s convenient that they have an ATM since they are cash only. I’ll be back!

This place has really bad service. I found a bug in my coctel de camarón and they refused to give me another one. They only offer fish and shrimp tacos during the weekdays makes no sense and the ceviche de pescado taste like tuna

i have been looking for this place for a while… back in 2000 i went to this place and for 2 campechanas and back then they were good. 15 years later today i went in there for a ceviche tostadas i did get the tostadas but did not get much of the ceviche on the tostadas. it looked more like blended fish. NOW if you want good sea food go to la playita on lincoln and rose in venice. those are pa chuparse los dedos and cheap too.

The food is ONLYALRIGHT! And the prices don’t justify the food. They are jipping you for your money-literally. I placed an order of 2 ceviche tostadas and it was $ 4 plus tax then my sister ordered the same and they charged her $ 9 for the same thing!

Omfg, i cant believe how bad this location down graded. I use to come here years ago and the quality was great, also the food was fresh and full of flavor. Now its a nightmare, i just ordered a shrimp cocktel and it was a cup filled with watered down tomato juice. and only like 8 shrimps. and i ordered a Lrg one. Overall, im very disapointed. that i spent almost $ 40 for this mediocre food. Im for sure never ever coming back here again. oh yea and by the way, the same lady peeling the shrimp was bussing tables. thats gross. Im a chef and i know seafood. What a bad experience

This place is alright, not the best but because it is so close to me it is worth frequent visits. Fresh oysters always hit the spot. I am giving this place three stars not because it is bad but not good relative to other spots I frequent with the same menu.

This place just gave me a cup a quarter full of ceviche and it smells like bad fish. This place really disappointed me. Can’t believe they would do such a thing like serve us bad ceviche and rip us off in the process by giving us less of what we ordered.

I’m never coming to this place again. Worst place ever. The advertised small cocktails but when I order it they say they don’t sell small cocktails. And to top it off The Small cocktail I got was not worth it. Never coming again. If I could give negative stars I would.

Excellent service. The location is not at the most convenient location but the service and fresh seafood make up for it. The inexpensive menu serves a variety of fresh seafood. I go here for the shrimp cocktail but my friend recommends the oysters, after all that’s what they’re known for. But again the service and friendly staff puts the cherry on top. Good for hangovers Sundays.

Sorry, I’m not a fan of their famous Ceviche cocktail… just seems too saucy for me. But I saw they have a huge menu and their fish and shrimp tacos looked pretty good. The best part is you can bring your own brown bags! Beer me!

I went here last night with a couple of friends and I regret it the ceviche smelled bad like it were sitting there for days service was okay but not good I’d rather eat at the Colima on 3rd and witmer everything is much fresher there.

The mix cocktail($ 9) is pretty awesome. $ 1 oysters are a fantastic deal. Didn’t get sick the next day so it’s legit!

This is not my first time actually. I am a sesoned veteran here, so much so that I know the secret rules! Yes secret rules! Haha! But I welcome the rookie title, all though I feel more of a MVP. Only my check ins will tell. I have been back since this past paragraph. Now I am posting it but not before I tell you that I have played almost all the songs on that juke box, give me something new please! the food can’t be beat and the fresh oysters are beautiful. the cocteles are decent and fresh, the fish tacos crispy and flaky like a good fish should be, finally thank you for my foam cups! ~wink wink~

For the price, can’t be beat. 100% not the best oysters you’ll ever have but if you have a craving and don’t want to go all out then this is the place to go. Usually I think twice about ordering more than a dozen oysters when they cost $ 3 a piece. But when they’re $ 1 a piece then I can order two dozen and be satisfied. Coupled with a large shrimp cocktail then you’ve got a delish meal. And when you’re not in the mood for shrimp served as a cocktail then the tostadas are pretty good as well(even though if you made it at home it would be just as good or even better). Takes a while for food to be ready but at least the seating area is large and fairly clean!

This is by far the best mexican seafood(for the gringos) mariscos place in LA. Well maybe I’m being partial because this is yet another one of the places my family frequented through my childhood/teens/life. The«pata de mula» is amazing. Pata de mula means mule foot, but I think something is lost in exact translation in fact I think it should be mule kick. Anyway this is a raw black conch seafood coctel. From what I understand black conch is going extinct primarily because they are very difficult to harvest and dwell in muddy, swampy waters around the equator. Shrimp coctel is also really good, the broth is unique and no matter how many times my chef brother has recreated it I always go back to Colima because it’s flavor is unique(maybe the water they use is different… idk).

So after my FAILED Torta from down the street at «Super Tortas» and(NO I only ate half) I stopped by this place because now I want some FISH tacos… So you walk in the doorway to order I already know what I want but… I still browse the menu then order 2FISH tacos I still have my soda from«Super MALO Torta», home boy says Sorry were out of FISH right now!, Umm I’m thinking homie this is a Mariscos(seafood) place it’s only 1:30pm and your out of FISH… Deep breath Pancho Deep breath… OK2 Shrimp Tacos Por Favor! so it looks like Colima style fish/shrimp tacos are a little different than Baja style fish/shrimp tacos, first being the batter it’s a little heavier with more texture, then they chop it into pieces instead of just whole shrimps guessing that’s because of the texture of batter, next they seem to use lettuce instead of cabbage. All was good though and I probably would have given them 4.5-Stars, but NOFISH… you only get 4-Stars…and they do have a very small parking lot but with a big truck it makes it hard to get in and out well especially out! I’ll be back and hopefully next time they’ll have FISH…
