Today we were craving sushi, so my boyfriend and I decided to give this place a go. The atmosphere was nice, and the restaurant was empty (it was 3pm)… My expectations were moderately high given the prices and the fact that it has a B rating in cleanliness… But I was amazed with the SCREAM ROLL… BEST ROLL I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE… Seriously if you’re going to eat here you must try the Scream Roll!

Was excited to try this place after reading reviews. Miso was delicious and only $ 1.50! Sadly, that was the only thing I enjoyed. Fried philly roll had barely any salmon and rotten looking avocado. Baked scallop roll was gross! Scallops were not fresh. In fact they were the most rotten tasting scallops I’ve ever had. To make it worse, the whole thing was smothered in mayonnaise which was NOT listed on the menu. Ick. I shudder just thinking of this dish. I asked the waitress if the mayo was on the menu as part of the dish thinking it might have been my mistake, and she said no it wasn’t, but that all of their baked rolls came like that (smothered in mayo. Barf). What is with restaurants not listing all ingredients? Help me help you. You’re setting yourself up for such unnecessary miscommunications with your customers. She kindly took the dish off of my bill but I was so turned off I didn’t order anything else. Yuck.

I’ve only gotten my order delivered from Sushi101 but the rolls are truly amazing with fresh ingredients. The bowls are delicious as well. I’ve ordered from here on multiple occasions and once, I had ordered a drink and they had forgotten it. The delivery man literally ran back with the soda. The wait time is usually an hour, sometimes I’ve gotten it in about 40, sometimes a little over the hour but when you’re hungry, the food is worth the wait.

It seems reasonably priced, but considering how small the portions are, it’s actually not. We ordered delivery, and the driver left before we could check that we received everything we had ordered (we did not). In addition, the rolls did not come with wasabi. Unless there is no other option, I do not plan on ordering from Sushi 101 again.

Tattoo roll– shrimp tempura roll and yellowtail. Beautifully presented with extremely fresh and tasty ingredients. The real deal crab meat which adds to it!
Wonderful quick service by a darling waitress makes one want to return.

First time i came here i ordered literally 4 basic rolls. I an writing this as I’m am stand here waiting. Its been 45 minutes. Best part THERE IS NO ONE ELSE HERE BUT ME !! They are unfucking real if you want to wait ten ears for your food then give this place a shot. I could cure cancer faster then these fucking ppl move. Fuck this place. Its total shit.

My new spot! I work in the area and I am so glad I tried Sushi 101. Their fish is super fresh and they are generous with the portions. I shared the assorted shashimi & a roll with a friend. It was perfect! 20 pieces for $ 23 bucks, awesome! I will be back soon!

We arrived here at 4pm the place was empty and only had 1 table with 2 people waiting for their food. We ordered drinks and a small appitizer. It took them 15 mins to bring out the drinks after asking twice what’s happening. In total we were there for 1 hour and 10 mins and left without eating because it was taking so long. They accommodated the take orders before the sitting guest. They only have 1 sushi chef on staff that is soooo slow. I left hungry and upset that they wasted my time. Stay far away from this unprofessional kitchen.

The sushi here is just average. It’s on the cheaper side for Beverly Hills, but if I’m in the mood for cheap sushi I would go elsewhere. Or just spend a bit more money and have much better sushi. My go to at any sushi place is their yellowtail roll. If the yellowtail is good/​fresh, good things always follow suit. Here, it’s horribly made and the quality just isn’t there. The size of the roll is much smaller than other places I’ve been to. The sunset roll was decent. Stay away from the Japanese burrito roll. Soggy and unpleasant. Ordered ahead and they said it would be 15 minutes. I waited closer to 30, even when the restaurant was completely empty. Never coming back.

We came back again and this time it was perfect. This is a small family owned neighborhood sushi place. The fish is fresh and inexpensive. The service is very warm and welcoming. We tried several dishes and I think finally hit a home run with the Sunset Roll, Black Dragon Roll, Japanese Burrito Roll and Blue Crab hand roll. Everything was very tasty. We’ll be back!

Went for a quick lunch and LOVED it! Super fresh food! So so yummy! I order the joy roll and the California roll also a miso soup! I loved everything! The people are so nice! I would totally go back! And I’m planning on it!

First time customer. Ordered delivery on a Sunday night. I’m only 1.2 miles away, but they said it would take an hour. Fine. Food got here in about 1 hr 15 minutes. Fine. They shorted me an order of Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice ($ 4.95). I ordered two but only one came. I called to inform them of the fact. They offered to bring it, but I didn’t want to wait another hour. So I asked for a refund of the missing order and they said okay. Checked my credit card today, and nothing was refunded. They shorted me, and kept my money. NOT OKAY!!!
The food was decent. Poke bowl is good. Prices are decent if they didn’t rip me off. Look, I don’t think they intentionally shorted me or kept my money. They sound really busy, so this is more of a management issue than an ethical issue. No one would risk their reputation over 5 bucks. But my point is that they don’t really value new customers like me, so I will not go back.

Great sushi spot by our place! Fast service, good food and average prices. Can’t beat that when you’re looking to have something quick and good.
They are really nice here and you never have to wait. There’s no parking but I’ve never had a hard time finding street parking. I’ve gotten the mountain roll that comes with crab, salmon and topped with spicy tuna. The mussels are also so yummy!

Ran in for a quick sushi craving, never have been here before. I had salmon sashimi… it was very fresh and had my favorite buttery flavor. The shrimp tempura roll was really good. I had 3 items and it was only $ 19 bucks!
The chef and staff were so outgoing and friendly. They deserve 5 stars.

Having enjoyed the sushi delivered, I decided to go eat in with my daughter. Mistake. The service was HORRIBLE and we were the only ones there 7:00ish on a Monday.
Basically we had to make second requests for everything. Nothing came the first time we asked. This happened at least 3 times.
We were served 5 minutes apart. All of one parties hand rolls came out at one time with nothing for the other.
Miso soup had nothing to distinguish it. Not one floating green, maybe 5 small cubes of tofu, that was it. I know it’s a simple soup but I’ve had it plenty of places where it had character.
As for the sushi. It was pretty but kinda just ok. Not enough to balance the bad service.
I won’t return and with that bad taste in my mouth from the service, I probably won’t order again either.

I love this place… The sushi is consistently fresh yummy and they are really friendly. I work next door and get lunch here 2−3x a week. Try the iced green tea and the salmon avocado roll (off menu).
I don’t think they advertise enough bc they are never busy and I don’t want them to go out of business bc it’s such s yummy healthy easy lunch spot for me.

Got delivery at work since I’m staying late (on the boss, woohoo!) and they delivered fairly fast. Got the Sushi roll + 5 piece sashimi combo and it was pretty great.
They give mountains of wasabi, which is always a plus for me. I love wasabi.
