Tacos El Compita

I would totally recommend this food truck to anyone who loves tacos and birria. This truck is a truck. Not a sit in which i dont mind at all. The tacos dorados de birria are bomb. Worth the try. I was a bit hesitant at first but service is great and food is delicious.

This is the one and only place I buy tacos dorados de barbacoa because they are so good, no place like Los compitas

Tried the barbacoa tacos dorados. Never had them like this before. They were very good. Although very greasy, I guess that’s what the napkins are for. The place is not much. A mid size truck surrounded by warehouses.
The food makes up for it.

If you are anywhere near LA, this is a must! Tacos de barbacoa are the best ever! Quick and easy for lunch worth driving for and dealing with LA traffic.

Tacos dorados are pretty good. It is not cash only as Unilocal indicates, but you can go across the street to smart and final to get some if you need.
Good food but it is filthy as hell in the surrounding area, so just take it home to eat your food. I would come back if I am in the area.

What?! This Trailer sucked! Unilocaler’s got this one wrong. Service was lacking, girl at the window made 2 mistakes and tried to make it seem as though, I ordered wrong. OK. — I wasn’t in a confrontational mood today so I «let I go». Greasy Tacos de Barbacoa with No flavor. Shrimp Tacos were 2 Mini Shrimp heavily battered and extra greasy. The Lengua was plain and rubbery. Salsa’s had no heat or flavor. My son said the red sauce was like Tapatio and Ketchup. Maybe the lack of food options or experienced palates in the area make people think this is quality food. And by the way, storing the food in buckets and containers on the side walk (in the shade), does not substitute for refrigeration. Where is the Health Department? Awful lunch, Wasted $ 17.50. Drove by a Carl’s Jr. Heading out of here, I would have been better off with a cheap burger.

I’d never heard of Barbacoa fried tacos my aunt and uncle had been trying to take there forever. I was hesitant because of the location but since several of us were going I felt safe!
WOW!!! These tacos are life changing, who would have thought fried Barbacoa tacos! I also tried the cabeza tacos very tasty. If you’ve never had Barbacoa tacos this is the place to have them.

Los tacos dorados de barbacoa estan para chuparte los Dedos. Deliciosos !! Lo unico malo que tienen dos salsas Pero no estan picante para nada

The tacos dorados are AMAZING!!! I’ve had burritos, quesadillas and regular tacos too, which are also pretty delicious. I’m also a huge fan of their mild and hot salsa. Seriously though, tacos dorados… My mouth is watery as I write this.

Good food they are quick, I will definitely come back soon, the food was fresh the staff was very friendly nice place

The crunch and perfectly seasoned barbacoa meat was top notch and packed with flavor, I’m still daydreaming about them.
The tacos the cabeza (head meat soft tacos)
were so amazing! perfect chopped meat that tastes like the best pot roast you’ve ever had, with touches of fat and gelatinous goodness. I’ve been looking for a spot like this for soooo long.
I fell in love here and I’m ready to proclaim that love for these tacos! I would marry these tacos in a heartbeat

I know of this place because my boyfriend took me this year and he ordered some tacos dorados de barbacoa for us and omg they were GOOD! Its A Truck Though Not A Local Place Where you Go And sit Down. You Eat Them There or You Order To Go. I recommend BoMB Tacos

Best tacos de barbacoa in L.A., especially if you tell them to put avocado in them.
This is a street truck, they don’t have any seat/​tables, this is a place to come eat and leave. Either eat in your vehicle or standing up. It don’t get any better than that for the prize. A must L.A. food truck try. After your full, you can go have a seat @ Sam’s Hofbrau up the street.

It’s a taco truck theres nowhere to sit unless you have a car but the tacos are really good I’ve tried the hard tacos and soft tacos they are both delicious my husband has tried the shrimp tacos and he says they’re good too

Taco’s dorado’s and shrimp tacos is where its at.
Taco’s dorado’s, squirt two limes, step to the left to dodge the falling bird droppings, sip on your jarritos, throw in some cilantro and onions. squirt the yellow bottle sauce, and take a bite and finish off with a bite of thai chili
The shrimp taco’s are freshly made and really hit the spot.
Not your standard taco fair, but amazing on it’s own right.
Other stuff such as burritos, torta’s, and quesadilla’s are are alright but nothing special.

The food here is GREAT. I have tried every thing on the menu and loved it all. I have been going here since they first pulled up and the prices are about the same. 5 bucks for an all meat burrito is a deal when you see how large it is. The meat is juicy and well seasoned. This place is my bench mark for Burritos, but you must try tacos dorados. It is the barbecoa fried in the tortia together, they are to die for. Their 4 salsas are good too. Try the yellow one!

Barbacoa tacos are something you don’t find at many taco trucks and they’re really good here. Moreover, another unique offering from El Compita are their tacos dorados, or what many refer has hard tacos. These «golden» tacos aren’t served in a hard shell but are dipped in the fryer on the spot. It’s a great, fresh hard taco.
For something new, come to this little trailer truck and order the barbacoa tacos dorado. I can easily take down 8 – 10 of these guys. The lengua isn’t bad here either.

This taco stand serves tacos al estilo jalisco. Their popular taco is the barbacoa. Its shredded beef that has been simmering in its own juices (seasoned) for hours, till you get a really soft meat. You can order them soft shell or deep fried. They also have your standard tacos, such as al pastor, asada, and pulled pork (carnitas).
I highly recommend the shredded barbacoa tacos!
