Terrible place, poor customer service & Shitty tasting meat. Try the spot across the street Mi Tienda Meat Market, better meats but same crap management.

Been getting my asada & chicken here for years. Its never red, orange, or smelling like chorizo like some places. Lightly citrus marinated & run through the tenderizer… sometimes twice, so when you cook it the meat just falls apart. They also have all the things you need from a neighborhood market.

One of two places in my neighborhood I get my Carne Asada & Pollo from. Meat is marinated & tender, they place it on the tenderizer and add onions and lemon spray to the meat, yes spray, they get busy at times depending how much meat the people in front of you ordered. Owners are real nice and straight forward, as for one of the butchers, if that’s his title can be really dry, at times he seems unhappy dealing with people, but then again you really don’t know how his day is going. Anyhow, great meat, same prices as you may find Carne Asada in other places but better tasting in my book. So look no further for great meat to grill.

Topanga Meat Market, easily identifiable by the large cow hanging out in the parking lot, is a fine little one stop shop most days, but is fantastic come the weekends when they start serving up their signature rotisserie chicken! Second to none, we’ve gone there time and time again just because it makes an excellent addition to just about any recipe that calls for chicken. Other than that the market is kinda cramped, but they carry basically anything you might need in a pinch. If you want selection, go to Vons. If you need milk and don’t want to pile into the car and drive to a market then maybe Topanga is your destination.
