Lovely selection of beads, but on the pricey side. While the beads are nice, the customer service is very questionable. I was treated VERY rudely and am still upset and shocked by it days later. This business is run in a very unprofessional manner and I will never return.

The store has a great selection of beads and natural crystals. They ate a bit overpriced but that is to be expected considering their location. The first time I went there were two younger gals working that were very pleasant and helpful. I came for a second time and showed up about five mins before closing. I had a list of crystals I needed and was ready to quickly grab what was on the list and be gone. But as I walked through the door an older woman looked ant me and said«ma’am we are closed. We close at five». Perhaps the clock on my cell phone is not calibrating to the satellites in the sky but closing at 5 to me would mean I had five mins to shop? She was a bit cold and unfriendly about it. I understand that you want to get home after a long days work and can respect that. But perhaps she could have asked if I could make my purchase quick or add a little bit of extra customer service and say we are closing can you make it quick I would have left feeling more positive about the place. I am in sales and Customer service means so much to me. People buy from people. It is unfortunate she was so rude as I don’t know I will be back there after that. The last time I was there I spent nearly $ 400. I was prepared to do that again today but will go to Santa Cruz and purchase my crystals there for now on. They do have a nice selection of crystals though. Just make sure you get there before closing.

Let me first preface — I am a guy — walking into a bead store is a little intimidating… 1 because I have no idea what to look for and 2. I dont know anything about jewelry or beads. BUT I was on a quest to find a new necklace chain for my St. Christopher pendant. I walked into Natural Expressions last week and I had a wonderful experience. The store owner Cicek was fantastic! She walked me through the store, showed me 3 or 4 different chain options that complemented the metals of my pendant. Then we walked over to the clasp section and picked out a really cool gun metal clasp that looks awesome with the new chain. On a side note, the overall layout of this store is designed very well. Everything is meticulously organized, which makes finding what you want a breeze. They also offer jewelry making classes! Definitely going to come back and bring my little sister to a beading class one of these days. Anyways — this place is top notch — helpful staff, great products, beautiful store — perfect location downtown los gatos!

Very dissapointed! Drove 20 miles to check out the store. Website says, and still says they are open on Sundays. Got to the store, doors locked, they have a screen-like door, two gals sitting at a table beading, I asked if they were open, they said no. I said the website says they are open on Sundays, one girl says, «oh yes, we have to change that». We tried being open on Sundays for awhile, but not enough business. I said I drove 20 miles to shop, could I just come in and look? The girl says, no I’m sorry. So I went away very dissapointed, went off to Michaels Crafts and gave then $ 100.00 instead!

I love love love this bead store. I get all my broken jewelry fixed here. The owner is a hard worker and always willing to help you if you have any questions. I have never walked out of this store without a beautiful piece of jewelry. OR… I always come here to alter my jewelry. Who alters jewelry??? I DO! so easy and very in expensive especially if you have already bought an expensive piece and looking for a quick fix. Some of the girls that work there are younger but they are still always helpful. If you haven’t been your missing out…

This is a great store with a super array of natural stones. They can repair your broken chains as well as finish any pieces you’ve designed yourself. I love it if Chi-Chek is there, as she really can help you put things together. It can add up $$ wise but for the service, it’s worth it.

This is a slightly smaller store than what I was expecting, but nonetheless still great experience. I was looking for some chain to fix up a necklace, and the woman today was very helpful! She was very patient and helped me match various chains to the necklace that I had. We eventually found what I was looking for. Quality of items seems to be high here; time will tell! Will be coming back for future jewelry needs.

Love this bead shop the girls and the owner Cieck are super creative. They always come up with nice designs and ideas for my jewelry needs. I have updated a couple of old pieces and made some very cute new pieces with remnants I saved. A good value, lots of help putting items together, my eyes aren’t what they use to be but they are ready to help with their tools. Lots of selection of beads and chains for any project. You must try if you are creative.

My 5 year old daughter and I came in yesterday to make a necklace for my wife for mother’s day. We had only about an hour and a half, and we were able to design and build a necklace by the time they closed. The staff was extremely helpful and gave us lots of suggestions on stones and designs. We were extremely happy with how the necklace turned out, and we ended up using some extra beads to make a bracelet for my daughter as well. For $ 50 we walked out with 2 items that would have cost $ 125+ if purchased from a necklace manufacturer. And the bonding experience my daughter and I had was priceless.

This business seriously needs to update their information. Unilocal does have their current address correct, but they don’t carry fabric at their current location, and only have a small portion of the bead supplies that they had at their previous location. After finding their new store, I failed to find anything that I wanted to buy which was a disappointment given their selection at the previous location. While I was in the store they fielded three phone calls from people who couldn’t find them. I did report to Apple maps that the location was wrong, but I won’t be coming back.

This place is great. The fabrics are very modern and the patterns are fantastic for both apparel and quilting. Not a huge selection of patterns though. The customer service is fantastic and I was pleasantly surprised by the young sales clerks complete understanding of sewing. I love the large table that you can sit at and look at books, or lay out your fabrics if you are slow like me. This way you aren’t on the cutting table taking over. I don’t know beads but they were arranged very neatly, and the place is super well lit and cool on a hot day. This fabric store is now closed, I believe that the bead shop is at a new location):

Natural Expressions is, in my honest opinion, the best bead store in the bay. The quality of their natural stones, findings, and chain is definitely superior to any other store. Now, with the best quality, you will have to pay a higher price, but it’s totally worth it. The service is great – all of the employees are really sweet and helpful. I love that they have a table where you can bead or lay out your vision. They will also let you borrow tools, felt mats, or those little necklace trays while you’re working on your project in the store(you just have to give them your driver’s license). They offer different discount days, a stamp card, and oh hey, they sell fabric too!

Shortly after my unhealthy obsession with Pinterest began, I decided I was going to MAKE all my friends’ Christmas/Hanukkah presents. There was only one problem: my artistic skills peaked around my seventh birthday. Enter my aunt, who is currently employed at Natural Expressions. She helped me find supplies to make some simple yet elegant bracelets, then sat me down at a table and periodically checked in on me as I worked through my first one. And, for those of the mind that my positive experience was due to nepotism, know that I’ve gone into this establishment when my aunt was not working, and was still able to get solid advice from friendly staff.

My eyes were tickled — a beautiful selection of quilting fabrics, patterns and notions and not your grandma’s quilts. Somehow honoring the tradition of quilting but bringing a refreshing contemporary flair to quilting. Plenty of room to stretch out, great lighting and a beautiful store(almost like a showroom). Los Gatos is such a wonderful place to stroll, eat and shop. It is a real pleasure to have a wonderful quilt shop downtown. Best of all — everyone I’ve talk to who works in the store is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.

Great customer service, excellent selection. I was overwhelmed! Easy to shop by color in both fabric and beads. The crafter’s delight!

I’ve visited Natural Expressions a few times since writing my review, and I gotta give them credit. They were so much friendlier these past 3 visits. The last time I was in, the ladies at the cutting table made conversation with my 7 year old daughter about sewing and fabric choices(I’m teaching her to quilt). When my little one threw his pacifier out of the stroller, one of the employees picked it up and offered to wash it(little did she know that I would have just given it back to him without the wash-off. 3 second rule!) The fabric can be pricier than other stores, which is why you’ll find me here on Wednesdays with my project bag, getting that 15% discount.

This place has a nice variety, but it is a little pricey. Compared to the other two bead stores, Beads N things and Sew Bedazzaled, the price is 3 to 4 times more. They do offer fabric here too which may be more convenient for someone who needs fabric and jewelry pieces at the same time. Otherwise, I wouldn’t get anything here unless I really need it.
