Sole Desire Shoes

This review is for the Sole Desire location in the opera house, across from La Boulanger. I bought a pair of Earth shoes from Chris and he was such a pleasure to work with. He was helpful, tactful, polite and knowledgable about every shoe in the store.
This store carries Birkenstock, Earth, Clarks and many more «comfort» shoes with many very stylish options. They have a good selection for a little store. The store was clean and well lit. The displays were nicely done and easy to see what was available. I like the easygoing vibe in the store, it’s not stuffy or pretentious at all. The shoes are on the higher priced end, but they are all good quality brands so you get what you pay for. I love my Earth sandals that Chris helped me pick out. I wear them almost every day.
Every time I’ve gone into this store, I’ve been greeted warmly and get the feeling that the employees know their stuff and enjoy working at the store. What a refreshing change from Macy’s and even Nordstrom nowadays, which leave a lot to be desired.
I’ll go to Sole Desire first to look for shoes in the future!!! Thanks for finding me a great shoe!

I visited this store last Sunday 6/​14l/​2015; Shortly after making a purchase, my credit card was compromised. Thousands of dollars in unauthorized charges to made to my card. They have not returned my phone calls and the corporate office does not answer their phones– you can reach the operator’s extension, but the voice mail box is full. I can only assume at this point that they are selling credit card numbers or their system is easily compromised. I would not recommend shopping here for this reason.

Chris was extremely patient and has excellent people skills. He tirelessly and cheerfully brought out MANY shoes for me to try on. I bought only one pair but he made me feel like a valued customer despite the extra time it took to serve me. There are many styles to choose from.

The young man Chris that helped me last week was very knowledgeable and brought me out many different sizes and selections of shoes similar to the style I had picked out for myself. Needless to say I ended up with an excellent pair of shoes and more! I will definitely go back and buy my shoes seasonally from Sole Desire and Chris!!!

Unless you look like you’re dripping of money and are wearing expensive shoes into this store, do not expect to get good service. The one younger lady there with the long stringy blonde hair is the rudest, snootiest, most condescending and unprofessional salesperson I have encountered in a while. There is another newer lady named Lynn who is actually quite nice and tries to help you out but she hasn’t found her footing quite yet and seems to be bullied by the other gal. I loved shopping at the old location of Shuz where the staff was great! I would buy 3 pairs of the same shoe in different colours there. At sole desire, as long as that one rude girl is working, I will not return. There are plenty of other shoe stores with the same selection and better prices where you can enter and browse and try on some shoes without feeling like you are being judged. At this place I feel like any shoe I try on, I had better purchase or else it would be a waste of the staff’s time. I hope the owner re-​evaluates her staff or business will slow down here with time as people experience interactions like I had. The exchange and return policy also leaves much to be desired here. Think twice about buying gifts from this place for someone whose size and style you are not absolutely sure about. It is a pain to simply exchange for a different size, so I am sure it would be even more of a burden to change your mind about a pair or go home and find out the heel is too short for many of your pants. Try explaining that to the salesperson when you come in for a return or exchange! She will give you the evil eye.

I stopped by this morning with a recommendation from my boss, but I was so turned off by the nasty looks and service from the two girls working this morning.
I ask it they carry any simple black flats (for work purposes) and no reply. Another sales associate comes out and she just glares over at me too.

If you feel like willfully putting yourself through a terrible customer service experience, please shop here. I came here with my mom and she was treated pretty horribly. There was no effort made to even try to help her.

I must say, the service was horrible. Not that I wasnt helped, but this girl was so condescending I was taken back. She kept saying she couldn’t help me unless I asked… no shit sherlock! It would have been ok once but seriously, the entire time I was there. I started to feel uncomfortable. So I left.

I love Sole Desire shoes in Los Gatos! I love the selection of comfortable and stylish shoes and sandals. I wear a size 6 which can be hard to find. When I find something I like at Sole Desire if they don’t have my size they can usually find it in one of their other stores and have it sent to me. The service is great and I especially like Claudia the manager. She is so personable! Thanks Sole Desire.

I have shopped at Shuz for over ten years. I love their shoe selection; quality and comfort of shoes are fantastic. Claudia is a great employee, not sure why another reviewer had a problem with Claudia. This is the shoe store I go to when I need comfortable, stylish shoes, especially when traveling.

I bought my annual Uggs here and my salesperson was very friendly and helpful. I don’t love most of their styles and they are pricey, but the store is neat and the service great.

They have a good selection of very comfortable shoes, and some of the employees are very nice and helpful.
I had a problem with defective finish with one pair I bought there. To be fair, they agreed to investigate and contact the manufacturer, and eventually the manufacturer replaced the defective shoes, but the whole process took way too long and they made me feel that I am a bother to them. The store manager, Frank Diaz, is less than cordial, never called back when he promised to, and generally made me feel unwelcome. For a store with a median price tag of $ 250 I would have expected better customer experience. I am going back to

The employees were helpful and all that when I was first buying the shoes, but I was rather dismayed at how little they did to stand by their products once something went wrong.
I need to buy a certain brand of shoe that is not carried in many places to support my feet. I typically buy them online at
, but this time I was feeling the need to support the local economy, so I decided to go with Shuz. These are expensive shoes that should last 5 years or so. The first day I wore them, the button fell off. I did receive store credit when I tried to return them, but the website I normally use would have given me a full refund. There weren’t any other shoes in the store I was interested in buying, so I have almost $ 300 of useless credit.
I’m not normally that demanding, but if I pay that much money for something, I expect it to come with some guarantees and excellent customer service. I did not experience that at Shuz.

Horrible! They treat you like gold when you’re in there to buy, but if something happens where the shoes are defective, don’t expect to get your money back or any kind of a store credit whatsoever.
I spent $ 200 on shoes here. The soles started peeling off almost immediately and when I called about it their extremely nasty owner, «Claudia» informed me that she could do nothing about it so too bad, $ 200 down the drain.
