From top to bottom a wonderful experience. The Dupont Mansion is located in a historic section of Louisville. Think tree lined streets with big beautiful houses lining it. Our host was boisterous and welcoming and a hell of a cook. My god, the food she made was amazing. As well as the cookies that perpetually filled the main hallway plate. There was some cheap wine to quaff but I also found several bottles of bourbon lying around. Was I allowed to drink that? I did, and it was delicious. I forget which room we had-one of the cheaper ones fo sho-but it was lovely. The bed was huge and comfy and the room spotless.

This is beautiful bed and breakfast. This is the type of city mansion that you’d envision staying at. The amenities lovely. Decanters of wine throughout the whole house. Access to a full kitchen with snacks and drinks. When we walked in and heard the player piano it was very welcoming. Then to walk to the back yard and see how lush it is was very relaxing.

I took my fiancé to Louisville after proposing, as a surprise. We arrived at the DuPont Mansion and were greeting with classic southern hospitality. The house itself was drenched with history: old pictures and murals adorned the walls and fine china sat on every shelf. I enjoyed the free bourbon while my fiancé enjoyed the decanters of wine that were in several rooms of the house. The Cleveland Room was clean and spacious and we loved the bathroom, especially the bath tub! If you are visiting Louisville and choosing where to stay we could not recommend a better place !!

My husband and I stayed here over our anniversary weekend and we were both so glad we did! The house is beautiful and so full of character. There were refreshments available at all times for guests and breakfasts were delicious. Ginny was superb and so welcoming. The location is also great! There is a lot to do nearby and historic Louisville is so pretty! The only thing I wish had been different would be the mattress. We loved the antique looking canopy frame, but the mattress was pretty hard and a little challenging for me to sleep on. I would highly recommend this B&B, overall, and would love to visit again!

they don’t call it Southern hospitality for nothing… We pulled up in front of the three story house not knowing what to except. Jenny the hostess was a delight, so welcoming and charming. The house is simply stunning with it’s soaring ceilings and marble fireplaces. All of the rooms downstairs had dishes of candy and red wine out for guests, sign me up!!! We stayed in the Louisa May Alcott room with it’s huge bathroom with jetted tub and shower. The bed was sooooooo comfortable I didn’t want to get up the next morning but I didn’t want to miss breakfast. I only spent one night at the DuPont and I look forward to coming back in for another visit. This is an outstanding bed and breakfast!

this is a great option for a stay in Old Louisville. big gorgeous mansion filled with nice antiques and a lovely back yard. off street parking, snacks, wine, wifi, and good breakfast are all a plus. not the cheapest place, to be sure, but not overly expensive either. Mary is a great hostess, interested, accomodating but gracious enough to know when to leave ya be as well. i hope to see a couple of upgrades in the near future. the tv’s are probably over 10 years old, pretty small and fuzzy. the mattress in our room is showing some signs of age, definitely slumped in the middle. with the upgrades the prices would definitely be justified. i know we’ll be back.
