The pictures don’t do it justice! My husband and I stayed at the Inn during our honeymoon, and I can’t wait to plan a return trip! The building is very-well maintained and beautifully decorated according to Victorian style. I believe the room rates are very reasonable also – especially considering our stay came with complimentary coffee, tea, wine, snacks, and breakfast! Breakfast was delicious. Our host was very personable, and we even enjoyed hanging out with the other guests in the living room. I really can’t wait to go back.

Inn at the Park Louisville is tucked away in Old Louisville, amidst some of the most beautiful Victorian-era homes in the state – and the inn itself is no exception. Beautiful masonry outside complemented by the original wood furnishings inside, results in a wonderful luxury lodging opportunity. Beyond the comfortable spaces, the wine and social hour in the evening with other guests, and the prime central location to distilleries, restaurants, and downtown(all within a 10 minute drive, tops), you should also stay her for the breakfast. I’m sure it changes every day, but on this particular Sunday morning, it was a delightful homemade cinnamon French toast accompanied by an apple compote and homemade whipped cream. Pairing that with freshly squeezed orange juice and good strong coffee, and we were ready to seek out our next set of bourbon distilleries… Now this was my first bed and breakfast where I wasn’t traveling with older parents. The innkeepers were very welcoming and had prepared a wonderful suite for us and showed us all over the gardens, common rooms, a seemingly unending option of free snacks, and the breakfast room for the following day. The only odd thing — some of the guests seemed to regard us with a touch of disdain because we were so young. I know it’s not common for travelers in their late 20’s to early 30’s to seek out bed and breakfast options, but for my entire four day trip in Kentucky, this was the only place where another guest looked down on me for my age… So the best way to overcome and counter that disdain? More people of all ages should stay here! For the comfort, the luxury, the breakfast and the price– this is the best lodging option in Louisville.

My husband and I stayed here for our one year anniversary and it could not have been better. What a beautiful inn! Our stay was very pleasant, the inn was well kept and clean, and the owners and staff were so polite and welcoming. We will definitely be back to stay again!

I didn’t stay here as a guest, but got a great view of the place nonetheless. This was the first stop on the 2014 Old Louisville Holiday Homes Tour in the Central Park neighborhood. Immediately upon walking into the bed and breakfast, you’ll notice the beautiful wood that surrounds the foyer, from the paneling on the walls to the stately staircase. When I was there, a grand piano tinkled away with a cheery tune. To the left, you move through the parlor to the real treat of the first floor: the dining room. It was arranged as an ideal breakfast spot, with a long table for sharing a meal with other guests and several small two-person tables for a quieter dining experience. The real treasure of this room is the original fireplace. Surrounded by Rookwood Pottery tiles and with a split flue to allow a window over the mantle, it had been carefully kept in the 100+ years of the home’s existence and still retained its grandeur. Upstairs were a number of tastefully-appointed bedrooms. Downstairs, through a cozy updated kitchen was a spacious back porch with several couches and armchairs. On a lazy summer day, this would be the perfect place to retreat with a good book, and steal a glance at the garden or the park across the street. I can’t imagine a better place to recommend to my out of town guests wanting a unique and charming place to stay when they visit!
