This place is great and they have some of the best customer service of any place I’ve been to. I once crashed at a friend’s place out here and in a pre-coffee stupor wanderer in the place before it was open. I apologized and offered to leave but the head baker stopped and served me. The place is nice and cozy with tables and chairs scattered about. And the smell of fresh breads fills the room. I love the garlic cheddar bread they have, and trying the samples you can get from the cashier. I’d give them a better ratting but the food is par for course coffee slightly below, the service is exceptional, and face it your coming here to buy bread. The the mini café and samples are nice too.

This is one of my favorite sandwich places. It’s not a chain and got it’s start in Evansville which is close to my hometown. There’s nothing really fancy about it, just good deli style sandwiches. The baked goods are also excellent. Get your mix and match card for a free sandwich or loaf of bread.

Good local sandwich bread and rolls. I haven’t had a sandwich here, but I suspect they are good. I do like their granola. But more important is the bread, which they make fresh from scratch here, and you can buy their loaves in most nearby grocery stores(Kroger, ValuMarket, Whole Foods, etc.). And it’s not bad; the style is spongy, dense, soft, and kind of crumbly. That said, I can’t exactly get excited about the bread. It does have a decent shelf life, and it’s great for your BLT. But it’s not bread that will make my knees buckle, that I crave out of the oven. And this is not the place to buy anything with a good crust. I recognize it’s just their style, but it’s not especially mine. It’s also kind of on the pricey side, but that’s probably a necessary side effect of not making sugary, mass-produced crap. Still, it’s a bakery, and they are trying to nourish you with something besides donuts and cookies, so you could do a whole lot worse.

This is the only place I’ll buy bread. They grind their whole wheat flour fresh every day to make their breads. Yes, it’s a little more expensive, but if you’ve ever picked up a loaf of Great Harvest bread, you know it’s different from bread you get at a grocery store. It’s not all air! It’s heavy and dense, but still soft and flavorful. The honey whole wheat is my favorite, and its made from just 5 ingredients that you would keep at home(whole wheat flour, water, honey, yeast, salt). The nine grain, high five, and dakota are good when you want dense, crunchy(from seeds and nuts) bread. The cinnamon chip(100% whole wheat!) is amazing for breakfast or dessert. There are so many kinds to try, and you can be sure that they’re all made with 100% real food. I drive out here every few weeks when we run out of bread and stock up on a few loaves(it freezes really well!). It’s a locally owned business, so you’re keeping your money in the city. Go in, try a free slice of bread, and pick up a loaf!

This place is across the street from my office. I went around Christmas time and purchased their honey wheat rolls and they were great. The staff was very helpful and quick when placing an order for stollen. Recently I had lunch there, a Southwestern turkey sandwich which was tasty.

A great, if slightly over priced, place to get a tasty sandwich, fresh breads, or delicious soup.

Our favorite bakery. Great Harvest locations are privately owned, so I’m never sure how each will fair. This one is in a great location, easy to access. Staff is helpful and let us try many many breads before deciding on one. All breads make with the best ingredients. TIP: The bake specific flavors on specific days. Never been? Ask for their schedule. The local favorites will sell out quickly. We go early on Saturdays for the Cinnamon chip. Find our more about the Great Harvest strategy here:
