I’ve lived at Lofts at Perkins Park for two years. In that time, the entire office staff has turned over. I have no problem with change and really liked my apartment and the building location; however, the staff have become inconsiderate and unhelpful. The head property manager Rebecca is possibly one of the least helpful people I’ve ever met. And she has the personality of a wet towel. I don’t feel like she’s not really looking to make life more fun or easier for residents. She’s just an office worker. And yes, they still do monthly events for residents, but few residents attend. I stopped going because of the lack of hospitality from the office staff. The maintenance staff is great — very friendly and quick to respond. They keep the grounds clean and clear of cigarette butts and garbage, which is great because — even though residents are asked not to smoke near the entrances — they still do and then they toss their butts on the ground. The building is very nice and well-maintained, apartments are large and it’s a great community for people with pets. As with most places, not all residents pick up after their pets — so you have to watch where you walk in the green space. Nose can be an issue between apartments above and beside you. Overall, my rating teeters between 2.5 and 3 stars. It’s an OK place to live if you don’t mind being a number to the onsite property managers.

I lived at the lofts for three years. They have ample space for your pup to run and play in the park behind the building. The brick and exposed beams add so much character and the 25′ ceilings make a small space feel roomy and open. Every month they hold residence events where you can meet your neighbors and usually eat some food. A great place to live!

AWFUL! Dont get sucked in by the exposed brick and ‘gym.’ Divorced singles and college kids occupy this building which either makes you happy or not. The cars in the parking lot were vandalized a few times and there is no security. Exterior doors either dont work or dont lock — and all your neighbors will let criminals in anyways. You can hear EVERYTHING from your neighbor vacuuming to people yelling at their kids and even toilets flushing in the next apartment over. They raise the rent every year and it’s not even worth it.

Lived here for almost 2 years now. I like the place. Office staff is great and they have activities every month which keep the place fun to meet other neighbors. Yes it’s a bit expensive but I knew that moving in. The location is great for Lowell and local business and entertainment get frequented by me often. Oh yea and it’s nice to have a minor league baseball park to 1 side and outdoor concert stage and major arena on the other. Oh yea gotta mention the Riverwalk too. Thumbs up.
