Zero stars, we waited 38 minutes before the unprofessional messy waitress came over to ask us if we wanted anything, after we moved out of her section, she acted as if it was a chore to even ask us if we wanted anything. We told her no. Unprofessional behavior, rude, inpatient with us. We were not the only table upset. I counted 21 customers, 6 wait staff and one bartender working. Excuse is what? for lower than standard customer service? The manager did come talk with us, however she was one of the ones in the back office with the waitresses… After I showed her the post, she actually started helping the wait staff and they actually started working. Zero stars. Even tho I’m forced to choose one.

Here for conference at Tsongas Center so short two block walk. Daughter had Shrimp ‘n Ham ‘n Mac ‘n Cheese. I had Ragin’ Cajun and a bowl of Clam chowder. My wife had the Reuben sandwich and cup of chowder. We shared a basket of sweet potato fries. Good food. Great service. I even tried one of the specialty beers recommended by the waitress.

4 stars for the beer 2 stars for the service 1 star for the food: raw burger, soupy, bland pizza. Don’t eat here. 1 star for the blatantly anti-customer changes to the loyalty program.

I will keep this short and sweet. It’s a hit or miss. No consistency. Never over a 3 star. I frequent this place for the beer. But the food and service is 1 – 3 stars depending of the day and/or staff on duty. **no change**

Given the proximity of Lowell Beer Works to our apartment, I thought we were onto a winner in having this on our doorstep. sadly we were wrong. It was your average Friday evening in Lowell, a band at the Tsongas Centre and people were meeting beforehand for a pre gig beverage. Upon entering LBW, we were told it would be an hour before we could eat because the local gig was starting in 15 minutes. Strangely enough though, there was a plethora of empty tables so we asked if it was OK to sit to order a drink. we were told No. Why we asked… «Well the waitress staff would have to work harder so the manager isn’t letting people in». It seems that the staff had decided to take the evening easy and the local gig threw a spanner in the works. Ultimately it boils down to terrible staff scheduling by the manager and the moral of the story is, don’t go unless it happens to be your regular kind of evening and the staff can cope with the small handful of patrons. Disappointing. Now we need a new local… should be pretty easy to find one, what with all the bars in town.

Food sucks. Nothing special. Long wait to get our food. Ordered a burger medium, but got a burnt black burger. Sent it back and the manager offered to get me another one but I was already turned off so I refused. Will not go back at least not for the food.

Wow. This picture says it all… 160 lifetime visits… Over $ 3200.00 spent, and a massive 72 loyalty points! At the equivalent of $ 45 a point… Beer Works is feeling generous. #yournewwayssuck What? That’s not a hashtag? Well, it is now!

This was my first time at Lowell Beer Works and I really liked it. The manager greeted us at the door and he was super friendly and energetic. We were seated right away at a large booth. The food came out quickly and was really delicious. I also really like their beer selections. I frequent the Boston locations and this place was almost exactly the same. Prices are reasonable and we all really liked our meals. Check this place out if you are in the area!

7 family members stopped in for lunch after a youth basketball tournament at UMass Lowell. I’m guessing the manager didn’t know a tournament was taking place because his restaurant was way understaffed. One waitress said«please take a seat and we’ll try to get to you». The food was pretty average and there is nothing memorable about this place. I’m sure there are many better options somewhere in the city of Lowell.

Sat at the bar on a Saturday afternoon in December with my fiancé. Service was prompt. Beer was cold, bubbly and flavorful. The meat and cheese board was excellent and had a good variety of samplings. Bill came out to a very reasonable price. All around great experience. Good resource to have in the city. We are excited to go back(and for the nice weather to return so we can enjoy the outdoor seating).

Opening Night for UML Hockey is a BIG night in Lowell. Ward & I took Beaver & headed here, which is the closest restaurant, to get a bite before the big game. Despite our arriving two hours ahead of puck drop there was a half hour wait. Which turned out to be a 45 minute wait. Which was ok, except once we got seated it was another 20 minute wait to even see a waitress, then another 20 minutes before ordered drinks came. We paid our bill & left without ordering any food so we could see the start of the game. The food & beer here are usually pretty good, but the WHOLESERVICEASPECTOFTHISPLACEISLACKING. I notice I’m not the only one commenting on that. All the good food & craft beer in the world isn’t gonna help you succeed if people don’t have time to order it. So…MANAGEMENT– you have a WHOLEDORM full of HUNDREDS of probably-could-use-a-job college kids right across the street — HIRESOME! Put them on when it’s UML Hockey nite! Cause it’s gonna be BUSY! We won’t be back anytime soon.

Beer wasn’t cold, and the potato bacon cheddar spring rolls I ordered were literally deep fried cylinders of mashed potato. Found one minuscule piece of bacon in one of them(out of four), and no sign of any cheese. What a waste of $ 10.

Fan of the watermelon beer and the sample flights. The strawberry margarita is also delicious! Service is super nice and sweet and everyone is accommodating. The patio is a great place to unwind and have a few cocktails and appetizers. Parking is usually plentiful but during a Spinners game, it’s 3.00 to park on the street or 5.00 in the private lot. Menu has many offerings to choose from, I like the sausage sliders and pretzel bites. Pricing is reasonable and there is wide range of prices from the higher end seafood to the basic pub menu to satisfy everyone.

Good hang out spot if you have about 3 hours to lose. This place has great potential but the Friday night I went they seemed incredibly understaffed. When you actually saw the wait staff they were helpful and accommodating but you were lucky if you even got a glimpse of them every 30 mins. I would’ve gotten more food and drinks had they been more attentive. I paid the bill 30 mins after I ordered a drink and it had still not arrived. But good food and beer from the couple of things I got to try.

I have gone to Lowell Beer Works twice. The first time I went I had the worst service of my life. It began when we waited in the entrance for five minutes before anyone sat us. Our Server came over five minutes after we were seated. She brought our drinks with no straws and the Iced Tea had no ice. Two of us ordered burgers and one ordered chicken fingers. Ten minutes after we ordered our meals the waitress came out and told us they didn’t have any burgers. We then decided to all get chicken fingers. Our drinks were never refilled and the food came out in pieces. Not by person, but by pieces. Literally she brought the chicken then the fingers then the fries later. The worse thing about the experience was that there was a bartender working in very close proximity and he didn’t do anything about the long waits or any help. When we went to lunch there again today, as we work in the same building and we thought the first time may have been a fluke. The service was slow, my burger was over cooked and the Chopped Salad my friend got looked as though it came out of a bag. Terrible Service and sub par food.

I don’t know why I went here after reading the other reviews – I guess hope springs eternal. Poor service and absolutely TERRIBLE food. We ordered 4 – 5 dishes, including apps and entrees, between the two of us, and every single one managed to be disappointing. I didn’t think it was possible to screw up clam chowder, but Lowell Beer Works proved me wrong. Continuing in that theme, we ordered the cheese plate, described as «Yellow Cheddar /Irish White Dubliner /Spanish Mahon Cheeses». Sounds appetizing, right? Turns out the cheese plate is just the deli cheeses they put on their burgers, sliced in half in the saddest attempt at fanciness I have ever seen(uploading a photo to prove it). $ 11 for 10 slices of deli cheese and 10 grapes. I won’t even bother reviewing the entrees. Just trust me, don’t go here, even if you desperately need to sit outside after a long winter!

I really like this place! The staff have always been very friendly and helpful. It can get pretty busy after games and such. They don’t carry any beers other than those they make, so be aware of that. With that said, their beers are good. They also have some duds, but the sampler will let you feel it out a bit. Food is great, parking is dicey, atmosphere is fantastic.

This is a place for those who like craft beers of all kinds. They have a large production, packaging, and distribution facility next to the pub. All the beers they serve here are brewed in-house, and they usually have large collections of IPA and dark ales. Good place to hang out with friends.

Parking can be found off-street and metered… There’s a garage, but I’m not sure if that’s specifically for UML students or condo folk… I stick to the meters– it’s like $ 2 for two hours, very typical of the area. I came in with my H and brother the other night and had a decent time. H and I had recently moved from Connecticut and my little bro wanted to show us a local restaurant(which is a chain! haha) not too far from our childhood home. Let’s just say that for an old building which 20ish years ago housed a movie theatre, the new owners did a pretty fantastic job with the theme. It’s very industrial-looking with a keg feel– awesome for the young student population. We were quickly seated and our waitress was pretty quick in getting our drinks. She boasted about aaaaaaall the varieties of alcohol on tap, bottle, etc… H and S were hooked. I don’t remember what S ordered because the waitress denied my H any alcohol due to his temporary MAID(which, by the way is a flimsy piece of paper. Like I previously mentioned, H and I recently moved from Connecticut and thus had to forfeit our licenses to get our Massachusetts licenses)… Even though we’re well beyond our undergrad years and look 27+. Yeah, he was NOT happy. But I do understand that they must have a problem with underage drinking and must’ve been trying to cover their butts. I got water! Keke. H and S ended up ordering burgers(don’t remember which) and both claimed their meats were somewhat dry. I ordered(vegetarian dishes a plenty!) mushroom ravioli… and it was subpar. I felt like it had no substance and was overstuffed with nothing but mushrooms(can’t stuff ‘em with spinach or something that can complement the mushroom? C’mon!). Overall, I thought the place was really aesthetically pleasing with a great array of beer. Food was kinda blah, but maybe the main cook was out? We’ll come back(now that H’s license has come in a full four weeks later)!
