Crown’s chicken offers your typical variety of chicken pieces plus sides, rolls, and drinks. There are plenty of sides to choose from, most are $ 1.75 and really not suitable for sharing unless you want to eat a non-American portion of food(in other words, an appropriate portion). I ordered the mac and cheese, mashed potatoes in gravy, and greens, plus the banana pudding. The greens are gross. Don’t even attempt. The banana pudding is banana flavored pudding with vanilla wafers which was ok, since it allows them to prepare in advance without brown naner slices. They also sell Halal food which means the slaughter must be performed by a Muslim, who must precede the slaughter by invoking the name of Allah. I ordered the Allah inspired gyro which was just fine. Thank God that Christians have very loose standards where food is concerned – except for gluttony but God doesn’t really care about that anymore from what I can establish by watching CBN. The chicken was an acceptable combination of brown, salty, greasy, and flavorful and the prices are low. I think I’d still lean towards Kenney’s for hood chicken since they fry their biscuits for the optimal amount of artery crackle. Plus you can dine in.

Not the best fried chicken in the world but the best that I have found in Lynchburg! Cheap, fast, and polite!
