Seems like there’s a lot of heart behind this business that is located in the«once-was» Machu Pichu. I ordered the whiting fried fish, macaroni-and-cheese, and greens for lunch. The fish was unexceptional. They need to fry a non-whiting fish, at the least tilapia. The macaroni-and-cheese was certainly better than other«home cooking» restaurants I’ve had and I liked the way the greens were prepared although my company said they were too sweet and there was no malt vinegar for the fries or fish – or the greens, which is how I prefer them at times. I have a few suggestions, but it’s a new business so you have to cut some slack. The sign outside boasts $ 5 lunch specials. If you have that advertized, the customer needs to be able to come in and see a menu with all the $ 5 offerings – their weren’t any. I asked about it and they said they were working on the new menu but in the mean time, if it’s advertized, it needs to be on your chalk board or a piece of paper. I saw maybe 2 or 3 «meals» that were under $ 7 or $ 8. That’s not good business. They also need to man their facebook page and do better at advertising in general. You have to let the public know what’s going on and who you are. They deliver! Not a bad service fee and a very wide range. F&F – these are the things folks need to know! The very friend lady at the register mentioned they have ox tails and ribs every Friday and Saturday as well as live music and«old school»(I hope that means 1990’s – the era in which I considered myself a G) R&B kareoke. I would give it a go again. I’ve never had ox tails and I wouldn’t mind having it with a curry plate and having a night of entertainment in a family atmosphere.
