Decent airport, a lot of space and good range of shops. The only issue I’ve ever had here is that being so small and when a lot of flights transit at the same time the airlines(not the airport) run out of staff and can’t keep up which causes delays.

The airport wasn’t too big, making it easy to get around. I really liked the cozy seating, especially in the fireplace nook. Comfy. The bathrooms were clean and free from malodorous fumes. There’s restaurants and coffee shops. If you’d like to try a local specialty, fried cheese curds are available in the restaurants. Also, the little airport stores have cheese curds and cheese in the shape of cows and the state of Wisconsin. The only gripe I have is the skimpiness of available outlets. Come on guys, my phone is dying here.

I really prefer to start my travels by leaving from Truax Field(or The Dane County Regional Airport as everyone is calling it now a days). It is a clean and well laid out building. Even on it’s busiest day, it is relatively easy to get through TSA. Being a 15 minute drive from my parents house or 30ish minutes to mine, the location can not be beat. On my most recent trip, I was checked into my 6:00am flight, checked through TSA, and was sitting at my gate within 20 minutes after I arrived by 4:50am. You cannot do that @ Ohare! Keep up the good work MSN!

MSN is a decent airport. The positives: Parking is easy and reasonably priced, you can walk from the parking garage to the terminal and don’t have to wait on a shuttle. If you have TSA Pre-check you will pretty much never have to wait in line at security. Very quick to get in and get to your gate since the airport is so small. The Metcalfe’s market has some good food/snack options The negatives: The airport is very small and not much to offer for restaurants and shops. They pretty much only offer direct flights to major hubs so unless you are going to one of those, you will have a connection(I know this is more a reflection of airlines and not the airport itself, but just something to keep in mind). Again not the fault of the airport, but the ticket prices to fly out of Madison are incredibly high.

Efficient, quaint, easy to maneuver, and super clean. This is not a major airport, so the food and shopping options are minimal.

This airport is awesome. Look I know it isnt huge, infact it is pretty small but its super comfortable. Space to kick out your legs, always clean, never super crowded, friendly staff, luxury seating, and oh yea free Wifi lol. The first floor lobby area has a lot of art there which I feel is great for helping artists. Parking is 2 dollars an hour lol I pay double that for any meter in nyc(even harlem). Heck even the Tsa staff is friendly(even though they searched me twice in my last 5 visits lol guess I can’t avoid it) The one negative I can think of is the food isn’t good, it’s mediocre. Especially compared to the food you find in Madison(great food). Bathrooms are always nice and clean too lol. Drinks aren’t bad at all. They do have 2 bars in here, 2 small bar style restaurants, a quizzinos, and a few coffee shops. Overall the design hmmmm ultra modern. It doesn’t any industrial feel to it. Back to the airport… it’s awesome. Enjoy and Fun travels.
