It’s ok for a place you don’t want to be seen. It’s small and I wouldn’t drive from Longwood just to go there. You can visit with friends and try different beers, the food was good. The food and atmosphere just didn’t wow me.

Pretty standard bar. Good beer selection at pretty good price. They have jenga and trivia. I’d go back.

We bought a Groupon to this establishment. I placed an order to pick-up. When I arrived to pay and pick-up my order, I was told that it was a dine-in only Groupon. There was no indication in the fine print that it was a dine-in only Groupon. I provided my cell phone to two different individuals who reviewed the fine print. Neither apologized or indicated that it was not listed in the description. Instead, I was told that I should have indicated that I was paying with a Groupon when placing the order which would have prompted them to notify me that it was a dine-in only option. If I had stated that I was using a Groupon when making the order and was told that take-out wasn’t an option, I still would have argued that it’s not listed in the fine print. We settled on getting face value of the Groupon. My husband and I decided we would not be returning to this establishment. On the drive home, we jokingly asked ourselves, «What if this is the best food we’ve ever had and we HAVE to go back?» No. The bacon cheeseburger I ordered was HORRIBLE. I didn’t even feed it to my dogs. I am convinced it wasn’t made of real beef. One would assume that anything with cheese and bacon on it can’t possibly be bad. This was not the case. I tried to fry the bacon more and put it back on the sandwich. Still, it was mushy. Then, we realized it was the«beef». The wings weren’t horrible, but they still left something to be desired. It’s VERY safe to say that we would never eat there — EVER. The only positive thing I have to say is that we saw dogs laying on the floor inside. Not sure if that’s legal? Not sure if that’s sanitary? Not sure if that’s against health code? But it was cute!

Had such a great time here! Has the dive bar feel without all of the smoke. Fantastic choice of craft beer as well as bucket specials. Mike, Jeremy and Susan can recommend a craft beer that suits your tastes! The ham and Brie grilled cheese is life changing-highly recommended.

Attended this bar last night for their«Bye Felicia» New Years Eve celebration and my husband and I had a blast! We don’t usually go out on this craziest of nights but we had been to this bar before the renovations and it was a total dive so we wanted to see how much it had changed. The bar itself is gorgeous and there’s plenty of seating and room to mingle especially once the live music gets playing. Speaking of music, the bands that performed were great. We came in during one band’s set and they played original songs and great covers. Blonk performed after the ball drop at midnight and they were awesome and played some fun songs. Onto the staff, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I missed our bartender’s name but she was fantastic. We had a great time talking to her and it was her birthday right at midnight. There were two speed bumps: when we saw the event online it said free but when we got there, it was a «suggested» cover of $ 5/per person. HOWEVER, I would be stupid to think there wouldn’t be a cover on New Years Eve. So we hit the atm, $ 10 for a great night? Not bad. The second was a «disturbed«gentleman came into the bar and kinda made it uncomfortable for 5 minutes. But they were great at diffusing the situation without a scene. I think my husband and I have found our new neighborhood bar. This place made me glad we ventured into the night. The food(we had wings and pretzel bites) was so delicious and there were so many craft beers and wines to choose from. And the complementary champagne they gave out really made it worth it to hang out with Copper Rocket and watch the ball drop.

The Rocket is an excellent neighborhood bar. If you did not know they relaunched in 2015. New owner completely updated the old Rocket with a new higher end menu an expansive beer list and no smoking. It is a bummer about no liquor but for a good brew on tap they are very hard to beat in Maitland. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about what they serve. There is generally something going on every night with a focus on live music. It’s surprising, but the space makes for a intimate quality sounding venue. You should absolutely check the schedule for the monthly theme parties which can turn into an awesome time. For food I’d recommend the grilled cheese sandwiches. Every thing is made to order so be prepared to wait a bit. Just consider it time to try a new beer. When I just need a unpretentious place to hang and have a good time with friendly people this is my new choice in Maitland.

Nice little place to grab a craft beer and enjoy some local live music! Extensive beer and wine list including both beverages on draft. Step inside to play a game of pool, mingle with the locals, and admire the copper bar as you grab a seat. I checked in on Unilocal here and purchased the pay $ 10 for $ 20 deal. Management honored my Unilocal deal with no problem. Drinking make you hungry? They have decent bar food, too. We tried the cheese curds and«giant» pretzel with beer cheese dipping sauce. The pretzel seemed normal size and not homemade. Sauce was almost too beery, but okay flavors overall. I would not come here for dinner but the food was alright if you are already here. On the night we were here they had an intense team trivia game going on with an awesome MC that had the gift of the best announcer voice. So epic! $ 20 gift card to the winner. Following the trivia a local cover band, Sound Theory, took the stage and rocked some faces off. Fun times! The owner is very friendly and seems like a good guy. Getting service from other bartendres was a little harder than it should have been. I had to flag one down each time as they did not stop by to take my order or check on me. But once a bartender came over they were friendly. One of the more experienced bartenders was able to give good recommendations for the menu. Overall, a fun time to be had. Tucked in a little strip of shops next to the Lake Lilly apartments it does not look like much but it is dark and cozy inside. 3 stars for a local bar that provides good entertainment and decent food. A-OK!

I am really torn about this place… So I will start with the good Their beer selection is on the larger end and the food came out quickly. Their setup is nice. We came on a Monday for free games and were given a 5 for the dart machine(which actually had plenty of darts!). They also had board games(Monopoly ftw) and billiards(Only one table though which would pose a crowding issue on busy nights). It’s relaxing and open and not smoky(the smoky reviews are before the renovation). The bartender was very nice and talked to us about the renovation of the place. They gutted it to get the smokiness out(couldn’t smell it at all) and made it modern. The bar itself is a solid 4 star. Now the issues… I love bar food and when looking the place up was very excited about wings and fries(classic). They were out of BOTH(and some other small thing that I cannot remember) and were told they had a busy weekend and the truck will come the next day. Man, I know good wings may be hard to get a hold of, but fries!!! They did offer the other side dishes so I got chicken and waffles with onion rings and my husband got a burger and Mac and cheese. We were starving(hey, we save calories for these dates), but the food was lackluster. I didn’t get a chance to try the burger(I dragged my husband to my cross fit gym and he would have eaten a horse at that point), but my chicken and waffles were just not exciting. It was two chicken tender strips sandwiched in between a waffle. The waffle was Belgian waffle sized, but seemed nuked instead(no crispy edges) and served with plain maple syrup. We did get hot sauce on request so I can jazz it up. Onion rings were decent and properly done(they’re the real onion kind), but nothing exciting. The bar was pretty empty and the bartender kept disappearing and reappearing. Very nice when actually present. Another annoyance was the bar itself… They have a copper bar which is awesome, but there is a big red padded edging that makes that bar hard to access. It’s probably 5 inches from the bar itself. For a relatively short female, it makes it hard to eat food off of it so try out the tables if you have food to order. Their bar stools are also shaped so that they can’t get quite close enough to the bar(making eating harder). That’s a relatively quick fix or just standing at the bar to eliminate that issue, but it was something that kept annoying the OCD person in me. We may give this place another try due to proximity to home and the cooler beers, but maybe on a better night? We love board games and bar games, but we may be on a hunt for a place with better bar food.

Second time here and last time! First time was good, we had a pear flatbread which was great first time, we ordered same thing this time and was absolutely gross!!! I would have rather dumpster dived with the bums! Plus honestly open back door with NO screen next to kitchen they cooking really even more gross!!! On what planet or dimension is this appropriate!!! NONE!!! Never coming back to this gross place the local yuppies who pay 4 $ for a bud light and like flies, roaches and bum gravy in their food can keep it!!! Good luck!!! Bartender too busy TRYING, lol to look sexy with the locals, who in my opinion liked each other, how you doin’, This was all at 6pm on a Saturday! Damn just go to new ale house down the block which was packed!!! Wonder why!!!

Had a horrible experience in here over the weekend. Dinner was great until we were met by the owner, whom by various other reviews on here must be Selman. Denied our use of a Groupon without any grounds to do so besides his own incorrect interpretation of the terms and conditions. Thankfully I was able to contact Groupon after leaving, who indeed verified that I was in the right and refunded my money. The sad part is that other than Selman the establishment was great. Before talking to him I was planning on making regular visits. During my entire conversation with him he was nothing but condescending, rude, and implied I was too stupid to understand.

The bar is awesome and so much fun. Great vibe and our bartender Susan was so informative and fantastic service. We tasted her suggestions for beer and wine. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Give it a try. The live music is great.

It’s been reopen — but we were very disappointed in the menu! We live nearby so we ordered take out. We paid $ 17, with tip $ 20. We ordered a chicken finger salad and hummus with pita. The salad was so small it fit in a small size styrofoam container. They did tell us they ran out of large containers but we thought they put the $ 9 salad in two different contains — they did not our salad was the size of a side salad with 2 ½ chicken fingers. Very disappointed.

Went there to see the changes and if it was better. Last we had been there it was dingy smoky and full of people who were not courteous and a band that did not suit us, we had not been back for a couple of years. The place is FAR better inside. We were VERY disappointed with regards to the«band» that was supposed to play, we were looking forward to some«blues» which they touted but there was just one single singer(female) singing what sounded like folk music, very depressing. I wish they would update the website to say who and what type of music will actually be there. Otherwise we loved the beer choices, nice people, we did not eat there but we will probably try it again once they get the kinks worked out

Went to the grand opening tonight and all I can say is wow! 100 times better. The new staff and new drink list is awesome. The beer selection leads me to believe that someone really knows what their doing. Saint somewhere on draft! Also the food is fresh and delicious. I can’t wait to come back.

I used to come to Copper Rocket all the time back when my friend was in a band. The feel of the place was very grungy, but it gave it that dive bar vibe. Beer was cheap, and it just felt like a fun place to go. I’ve been a few times recently, and it just doesn’t have that same appeal. The beer selection has improved, but so have the prices. A Rebel IPA was at least a dollar more than anywhere else that I’ve gotten it. The feel of the place has just changed, and it’s hard to put my finger on it. Live music doesn’t seem as interesting, and the patrons don’t seem as lively. Copper Rocket is still a great little spot to play pool or darts, but with more unique bars springing up in Orlando, it’s hard to feel as drawn to this old place.

This was a pretty cool place. Quite and chill. Good beer choices. If you want to play games like pool darts, even trivia this is the place to rock it. Great music choice… just a fun place to grab a beer and a quick game. The restrooms could use some attention so just fyi, but other than… it’s a quaint pace to hang with friends for a quite night.
