The soup here had no flavor. Pizza was plane. Oh and half of options were closed because they were switching from breakfast to lunch. Foods still there, why can’t we grab it?

Wow… I was sooo disappointed as were several of my friends. On many many levels… We all wanted a beer or two with our lunch, and then we saw it was $ 11 +tax +crv for a single 24 oz bottle O_O SERIOUSLY that is more than double what I paid at the Big A last time I was there. DISGUSTING. $ 10.25 for a bread bowl of chili??? $ 5.00 for a slice of pizza!!! WTF!?! The chili which they have with everything, 14″ dogs, fries, bread bowls, etc… gave everyone who ate it bad gas for the rest of the day. It was almost like farting horns were sounding at the cabin later that night. The first day they had the rooms set up without partitions and significant room between the tables. This is exactly what you need. The second day, the partitions were everywhere sectioning the wide open roomy areas into small stumbling blocks for no apparent reason. WHY O WHY??? There were very few trashcans to place the trays on and no where specific to place dishes for those of us who were cleaning up our own trays. There was a lady who came around and got our trays on day 2, but not on day 1. Wonder why that is? ohhh well. So sorry Grizzly Food Court… you are FAIL as a place to eat in the future.

Cafeteria area is a little more roomy than Main, prices are steep(as is to be expected), and it’s usually pretty busy. That being said I’ve never had a problem getting a table inside, and the food is pretty good quality for a Ski Resort. If you don’t want to bum it with Clif Bars and the like for lunch, head over to Canyon and eat here.

Never really bought lunch on the mountain. Don’t really need to since all my friends and I carry backpacks and hold power bars, cliff bars, cookies, sandwiches, and water in them. Not only is that more convenient for us, but it saves us TONS of money. This time we all decided to just relax at Canyon lodge and try their food for lunch. Not such a great idea because the place was jammed packed!!! Had to stalk out tables or just sit with random people and mingle. Fun! The food was decent and the prices were not. Wayyyy to overpriced. But knowing that we would be forking over more than a pretty penny… we ordered anyway… we got the bread chili bowl(this was very tasty), carne asada burrito, chicken soup, chili cheese fries(also very good since the chili was yummy!), chili dog, hot dog and a few items from their asain food corner such as fried rice(not recommended, too dry), chow main, and 2 beef dishes. My favorite — the chili bowl wins hands down! Everything else could have tasted better, but since we all were so hungry after riding 3 – 4 hours, taste was not a big deal, it was more of eating so we can have 2nd wind to go back up to the mountain. Not recommended — the Asian food corner. It seemed that everything I tried that came from there tasted like cardboard. No taste what so ever… plus they used too much oil. Next time I probably will just order their chili. That seemed the most worth it item there. Or just go back to carrying sandwiches, energy bars, and chips and use the lunch money for«happy hour» after a long day of riding.

Ditto what I said about Broadway Marketplace at Main Lodge… I feel silly giving this place 4 stars, but I cannot stop thinking about the ginormous, yummy hot dogs. After a good morning of skiing I could probably eat three, which is sort of embarrassing. Also, the food court here at Canyon always has cottage cheese with peaches or pears, which I really really love. I wish they had it with pineapple, too, but I’ll take what I can get. Yes, it’s overpriced, but it’s better than all the supposedly«fancy» on-mountain dining options.
