Betty & Marie’s Gourmet Ice Cream and Cakes

So happy I found this place, They personalized a cake for me on short notice, My son wanted his best friend fluffy (stuffed bear) on his birthday cake and Betty & Marie’s was able to do it for him and it made him the happiest little boy! The ice cream/​cake itself though tasted great and I couldn’t have been any happier and also the staff is great and it was the best customer service and they were very humble people! Thanks Betty & Marie’s! I’ve found a great place to keep coming back too!

Thinking about going to Cold Stone or (blech) Baskin-​Robbins? STOP!!! Betty & Marie’s is SOOOO much better! Ice cream made from scratch in the store, waffle cones and bowls made right in front of you and served warm, and every flavor and topping you could want. This is the ice cream shop Manassas needed! Can’t wait to try their ice cream cakes and CUPCAKES!!!

Definitely a great place to stop by. The staff here is fun and friendly. The ice cream is soft, fresh, and extremely flavorful. There’s a ton of exotic variation of ice cream, definitely stop in and try them all… they encourage it ;)

This place is unbelievably good. You can feel the great atmosphere the second you step a foot inside. The bright colors and great customer service makes the area such a nice place to go with your family, a friend, or even make a quick stop by yourself. The taste is spectacular! All the other places that sell ice cream are no where near Betty & Marie’s taste. Kline’s, Nathan’s, or even Cold Stone are not as good as this place. The prices are great too! They have more than the normal flavors. They make their own flavors like «Pop Tart Xplosion» and «Banana Puddin.» Overall, this place is the proper place to go to if you’re looking for some delicious ice cream.

Visited Saturday night at 8pm, very friendly staff and great favor selection. Great value for price. Husband tried the coconut cake ice cream and was surprise by the soft coconut cake and mass amount of coconut mixed in. I had the cake batter cookie dough and it was a perfect blend of mix and cream. Word of advise for owners three staff at 8 pm on a fall night may be a bit much, parking lot was pretty much vacant minus the tap room down the row. May want to cut back on hours of operation as well, was surprised to see open sign until 10pm. Not sure it business during those hours with that much staff is profitable. Wonderful experience none the less will be a repeat customer for sure.

This is the most adorable and welcoming place around! The ice cream is made by the shop, the flavors are fantastic, and the sizes great! We really enjoyed coming here and will be back.

Betty & Marie’s is an ice cream and cake shop located in Manassas Park. This is a family-​owned and –operated establishment that opened up back in late July. They have homemade ice cream (flavors such as: Cookie Dough, French Vanilla Latte, Caramel Apple Pie, Boardwalk, Black Walnut, Pop Tart Xplosion, Orange Dream, etc.), waffle cones/​bowls, cookies, cake slices, sundaes, smoothies, and milkshakes. I tried a scoop of their Banana ice cream — it was DELICIOUS! There were some little little bits of ice crystals woven inside, but other than that, the taste of the ice cream was very creamy and yummy! I really enjoyed the banana-​y taste: D The hubs tried their Cookies n’ Cream, and he said it was okay. I also tried a Sugar Cookie — it was more on the soft/​chewier end; I thought it was okay, but the hubs was not a fan. Lawrence, one of the co-​owners, was very sweet, and had no problem letting us try some samples (generous samples, too!)! I definitely would like to try their other flavors the next time I’m in the area: D

They always have new flavors! Anything from poptart explosion to root beer. Very rich, creamy ice creams and delicious milkshakes. Large serving sizes so don’t be afraid to get one scoop!
Don’t forget to get a punch card at the register. You’ll be back!

The other reviews are correct. This place is awesome. They seem to put a lot of love into their product. My husband tried the bourbon pecan pie, almond whiskey, and banana pudding. I had the brownie with 2 scoops: coconut cake, and brownie batter. Solid flavor a and enormous portions for the price. We’ll definitely be back!

Wow, wonderful neighborhood shop. This so reminds me of when I was a teenager. Everyone needs a safe place to hang out with friends and to meet new friends. The owner is gracious and has provided a wonderful space with comfy chairs and fantastic ice creams. They also feature creative ice cream cakes. I haven’t tried the smoothies yet but it’s only because I keep trying the new ice cream flavors! The pistachio is even better than Howard Johnson’s back in the day. The butter pecan has big full pecans and it is spectacular. But wait, I haven’t even mentioned the coolest of cool, cool, mints (with chocolate chips — big ones!). I have my eye on the the Black Walnut but haven’t made my way that far into the freezer chest yet. I guess you could say I’m a real fan.

Stopped to get gas at 7 – 11 at Signal View & Manassas Drive, & by good fortunate I looked over to the small strip mall & saw a sign for «Gourmet Ice Cream.» Went into Betty & Marie’s with my daughter & our family is now hooked. BEST ice cream in Manassas because it’s homemade, rich, creamy, authentic ice cream. Sure, there are a couple of places in Manassas that do soft-​serve well, & there are some adequate ice cream chain/​franchise shops. But IMO, scooped, homemade ice-​cream from a locally-​owned place like Betty & Marie’s is superior!
Lots of flavors to try– both traditional & also some creative mixes (e.g., carrot cake, cinnamon roll, bacon, bourbon…). Also, fresh cool fruity sorbets. Personable, super-​friendly employees & owners make you feel very welcomed. Free sample tastings. Generous scoops for very reasonable prices. My kids indulged in the «Stacks» dessert to share– for the ridiculously low price of $ 6, the «Stacks» is your choice of cookie or brownie or cake slice, then 2 scoops ice cream, then another cookie/​brownie/​cake, then choice of 6 toppings. I’d like to try a slice of their cake sometime, but each time I go back I’m drawn to yet another yummy flavor of ice cream.

Delicious ice cream, very friendly staff, and awesome prices! I definitely recommend this ice cream shop. They also had non diary options. My daughter loved the sorbet. Worth a visit!

Family-​owned and operated business with friendly service. My wife and I love the fact that we can go there (within walking distance) whenever a craving hits. Their ice cream and cake are gourmet, really satisfies that late night sweet tooth! Right now I’m eating the ice cream and it feels clean and natural, no bad aftertaste.

This place is so good! The staff offered us multiple tastes so we could be sure to pick exactly what we wanted. Beyond the good ice cream, the store itself is very cute and clean. The staff were all very friendly and quick to help us out. I will definitely be back!

Tasty offerings and nice workers. Clean and well lit. Prices are fair, nice location. Hope they serve coffee, cocoa or cider in the fall and winter months, it would be a nice complement to the bake goods.

My wife, son, and I were their very first customer. The ice cream is DELISH!!! Homemade, creamy, and good flavors. This part of town needed an ice cream place. The staff we great to. Very personal and friendly.

We were actually their first customers a few weeks ago, during their soft opening. Tried the ice cream and homemade cookies… delicious! They were incredibly friendly and offered suggestions on different flavors. So excited they have joined the neighborhood. While Manassas seems to have a lot of ice cream choices I love that they offer several baked items. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend.

I absolutely love this place. If your looking for fresh tasting ice cream maybe a slice of cake or pie this is your spot! They make their own ice cream and have unique flavors. Nice and clean place and the owners were very nice!

Tried this place out a few days ago and I LOVED it! It was super clean inside, the employees were extremely friendly & they had lots of choices! :) the ice cream tasted amazing & I got a huge bowl with a brownie, ice cream & a few toppings for just $ 6! It’s very cute inside too! I look forward to coming here a lot more :)
