Hole in the wall kind of makes it sound like a nicer than it looks. Delicious, cheap. I can’t wait to go back.

Don’t be fooled by the location, even if you have zero Spanish skills don’t pass this place up! You get authentic street type tacos, that are freakin awesome :) Before trying this place out I frequented a Mexican restaurant and ordered 3 chicken tacos«from the grill» and paid 16 bucks! This place, 5 bucks and taste is on point, of course no beans/rice but that’s penny’s on the dollar. Will definitely be coming back.

Freaking love this little hole in the wall! The ribs and tacos are on point! My favorite part is the topping bar they have in the back. Pickled jalapeños, cabbage, beets, green salsa, onions, cilantro, and limes. I put it all over my tacos and chips. I leave so happy. A word to the wise: it really helps to have a basic understanding of Spanish. Only one person here speaks English. My Spanish is somewhere between middle school and Peggy Hill, but they’re cool about it. I do a lot of pointing and smiling.

BEST Mexican food in the Northern Virginia, or can I say best in the DC area. Every time I go in, I automatically feel like I am at the border. Everything here is the best I have eaten. Tacos, tortas, carnitas, tortilla, Jarritos, horchata… ect is on point! I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Wow. This place has the best tacos in Virginia period. This is probably the only place where I have had tacos that could rival the quality and flavor of Tacos El Gordo in San Diego, CA. You come here and you see true life Tia’s making tortillas, assembling tacos, and taking your order. Their salsa bar is awesome and has all you need to customize the tacos to your liking. The meats are flavored exquisitely and your tacos come with limes on the plate. Their tortillas are warm and tasty. Each bite graces your mouth with such authenticity that wonderful images of the Mexican border fill your mind. The tacos are small but so is the price tag. Only 1.25−1.50 a piece. I had 5. The service was fast, accurate, and friendly. This place deserves 5 stars.

Hey — Zeus!!! These are some of the best tacos in the area. Living in the nova area for the past 5 years and I have to say, these are as authentic as you can get. My only main concern is the cleanliness and the heat in the summer. They have one fan right above me, that blows all the napkins off my table — yea, and i can understand the self serve salsa, it should be on ice right?, nah, its hot. Maybe its freshly roasted? I’m not a health inspector, but that i would think would be a strike.

Amazing tacos. I used to go to the Yucatan a couple of times a year and always made a point of eating late night dinners are the local taquerias. This place is as authentic as you can get and cheap! 8 tacos and 2 canned sodas were about $ 12 or so. We had the carne asada, barbacoa, al pastor, carnitas, and chorizo. All were piping hot and really tasty. The chips are pretty good and the salsa verde is fantastic. The toppings are good too, and more than adequate for the small size if the tacos. Only Spanish is spoken by the staff, but it’s easy enough to order if you have a basic understanding of Spanish. I can speak the language, but knowing how to answer«algo tomar?»(Anything to drink?) And«para llevar?»(To go?) will help you close out your order. Eating in is a great cultural experience.

When you want to go to Mexico without traveling. This place is one of my favorite hole in the wall places. The food is amazing. Try the tripe and tongue tacos.

This place is amazing! The staff is great and the food is fabulous. For $ 20 we got 12 tacos, a horchata and access to the chips which are so good. The tacos are small as others noted but this allows you to either try a variety or have a small meal. The tacos are served as meat on two small tortillas and then you go to the side counter where they have sauces, onions, cilantro, etc. There is a surprising amount of seating as well. Service is quick, so listen for your number. Your food will be at the counter.

Take notes other Mexican restaurants, this is the real deal. I have been to Mexico twice in the last 2 years, and one other time prior. So I understand the food. Taco Bell and Chipotle don’t come close to these kind of places. This place is as authentic as Mexican food gets and how a taqueria is presented. The loud Spanish radio blaring, the tortilla machine churning them out like clockwork. Stacks of meat being put on the grill, being scrambled and made out like a well oiled machine, with a menu overhead with prices so low you’d figure we’re still in the 1990’s. Yes, it helps if you can speak some Spanish, so if you’re unsure of the language, just go with the basics. I knew what I wanted, Huevos Rancheros, two tacos(El Pastor and Barbacoa) with a Horchata. You can pay with a credit card, but I’d advise paying with cash. You’re given a number and wait to be called. I tried the Huevos Rancheros first. Wow. These are good. And definitely the way they should be prepped. Crispy, with refried beans, cheese, rice, it was a perfect combination. The rice sadly was not very good. But the eggs, the sauce, and the beans, were phenomenal. Guapo’s, and other restaurants in the area, this is how you make refried beans. They were excellent. The tacos went next, I tried the Barbacoa first. Superb. Wonderful taste and lean meats combined with the cilantro brought out the best in the meal, and while can be messy, so get a fork to pick up the residue. The Pastor tacos were pretty good too. They were not overly packed with flavor but they held their own too, and would get these again as well. Definitely don’t get the onions if you don’t want them. The Horchata had an unusual taste to it on the first sip, but after the first two, it goes down easy and tastes incredible(and you can always get the bigger size). I’ll definitely be returning here for more tacos. Excellent prices, even better food.

This is a nice little spot. It’s a hole in the wall in a Manassas shopping center. Tacos are under $ 2 and 3 of them fills me up. The carne asada are my favorite. Tacos are very flavorful. We were the only white people and ordered what we could understand from the menu. You order at the register and wait for your number to be called(in spanish, so if you don’t understand spanish just stand by the food pick up area). Great food at a great price. We will be back.

Hole in the wall, legit, delicious, tacos. Worth the trek to Manassas. Order double because the tacos are tiny(they’re only 1 $ each btw). Absolutely mouth watering.

Very tasty hole in the wall joint. The tacos are authentic and SOOO good! They are cheap also! Whenever I am craving tacos this is where I go. Small seating area is also located inside. You know it’s good when you go in to grab dinner and the place is packed. The staff is also very very friendly. If you are seeking an extravagant salsa bar for your tacos, there isn’t one here. But the two salsas that they serve inside are still delicious. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

Very good tacos. It is a hole in the wall. I want to say that I had 6 tacos for 9 dollars. It is ridiculously cheap and very authentic. I thought the chorizo was the best and second was barbacoa. Straight forward tacos with meat, cilantro, onion, and radish which is what you want when you crave this exact thing. I think their salsa bar is lacking which makes it hard for me to give five stars. Four stars solid all day, especially for speed, authenticity, and price. The best place for street tacos like this in VA is in Alexandria(Tacos El Costalilla). I would count this as a great runner up, and it is closer to my house. If you want more TexMex and Honduran go to Guapos in the same lot. I sent my family to Guapos and I ate at the taco place since they weren’t having it. Personally my choice was better(although I stole some yucca)

I live allllll the way in Baltimore. Couldn’t find any really good places out my way. I came out here because my friends recommended it. It seemed like a mission but it was well worth it. For one when you walk in its HOT. Good god I was burning up. i hope this place invest in some central air. The tacos are priced well. You can definitely order a lot and not pay a lot. I ordered carne asada and chorizo. I was very satisfied can’t wait to go back.

Excellent authentic Mexican food. You won’t find cheaper and tastier tacos in the area. Tacos range from $ 1.25 to $ 1.50. Two small tortillas with a decent scoop of your choice of protein, onions and cilantro. Can’t beat that. Other places charge around $ 3 for these! They also have great tortas. They have a beef soup and three tacos combo for $ 6. The only reason I’m taking away a star is because they need to clean up the place. I’m okay with the place being run down. But on top of that the floors look like they haven’t been swept for days.

Wow. Authentic, delicious, fresh, and mind-bogglingly cheap. How authentic? I couldn’t help but say this out loud to my friend in the middle of my meal: «I feel like the biggest fucking gringo in this place. And that’s saying a lot.»
