I enjoy a relaxing environment when I get my nails done, and to have something to show off when I leave. I did not get either. The lady doing my nails kept stopping to take care of other customers, didn’t understand what I wanted with my nails, and didn’t really seem to care what I wanted. I asked originally for coffin nails with mood colors, and she kept asking me if I wanted square. So I changed my mind to stiletto. Still got square nails. 5 choices of mood colors that barely changed color(after another employee explained what mood colors were to the lady doing my nails, and the second employee kept talking about running my hands under water. Not the point of mood colors but whatever I digress). After telling the lady for at least the 7th time I didn’t want square nails, I finally got stiletto nails. Two hours into the session I was almost done. Then came the price. Almost 50 dollars for a fill. There are plenty of nail salons in Manassas. Do yourself a favor and go to one of them and stay away from here. Unless you enjoy bad surprises.

STAYAWAY! The owner employs people who are NOTCERTIFIEDORLICENSED to practice, period! The Commonwealth of VA mandates all nail technicians to complete an accredited 1500 hour course program which will provide a certification. With that you must THEN apply to the VIRGINIASTATEBOARD for a LICENSE. You are not allowed to practice for money without BOTH of these things. The shop is filthy and the employees do NOT know the proper cleanse, disinfect and sanitize procedures. They reuse implants that are made as disposable… GLOVES, PUMICESTONES, NAILBRUSHES etc. There is one container of Barbicide(disinfectant) in the entire salon. EACH station, and pedicure cart is legally required to have its own covered container that is empty NIGHTLY. Contaminated disinfectant loses its efficacy. One worker lied about being licensed, saying she took her state board test in Annandale. Problem is there is NO testing site there. I talked to the owner(who lied and said she’s the manager) who was not able to show ANY license besides her own for ANY of the three(3) employees there today. When asked for the name of the Annandale school she grabbed a Northern VA parenting magazine and thumbed through it while telling me over and over again«there are MANY Vietnamese nail schools in Annandale.» She eventually put the magazine down and tried to switch topics. I pointed out every violation AND explained thoroughly how to correct them. I even gave her the name, and tuition info for an actual accredited nail technician school in Reston, VA. The people I encountered today seem like very nice people, why is the owner putting their health ANDYOURS, MINES and every other clients in jeopardy??? To save pennies??? She’s the owner, even manager if that’s true so it is HER responsibility to properly teach her employees. For example, the fact that SCRUBB’N BUBBLESISNOT A DISINFECTANT… it’s a household bathroom cleanser. This is not the same as SALONQUALITYCLEANSER and DISINFECTANT. I really honestly hope she puts her money where it counts and invests in her employees.

This salon essentially gives you a $ 75 pedicure for $ 20. And its been that way for YEARS. Very nice service.
