For some reason they don’t sell NBA basketball items for The Washington Wizards, what’s up with that? however you will find a be u of Washington Capitals and Nationals. its more of goods store than a fan store. you won’t catch me returning due to very few staff willing to help.

I love this store, however any time you need assistance (i.e. getting shoes that are your size) it takes forever, especially if there is already being helped, as usually there is only one person per department. I would much rather go to Modells if I do not know exactly what I need or for shoes.

Most of the staff are nice but you always have a few bad apples. I called asking about trekking poles and the guy in camping said they had «quite a few» and started naming off a few brands and saying they had «a couple different types in this brand and that brand». So I live Front Royal and had a $ 10-off coupon thinking it would be worth my trip in. Wrong! They had three different poles to choose from, period: Eastons that were $ 69/pr, Mountainsmith Pinnacle $ 19.99/ea, a single Koppen, and a used/returned set. All of which took me a while to find cause they were on a small hanging display on the side of an end-cap. I asked the nearby staff, WTF, I called and whoever I talked to said you all had «quite a few» trekking poles in stock. I can tell by his voice it was the same guy… some middle aged looser working retail. I bought the Mountainsmith just because they were cheap and I was already there… I wasn’t gonna drive into Fairlakes and take a chance at that.

Clean store, awesome staff. Always find what I need.
Staff is knowledgeable per their sections. And also had a great conversation about local fishing that was a big help.
However some times they are a bit low staffed. Though I cant really fault a story for being busy now can I?

If you want to be treated RUDE come to this location!
My son bought a bike rack for his bike and it did not work for the bike he has. They would not take it back because they had none in stock at the time and could not find a barcode to give a store credit. I wish we were closer to the Dick Sporting Goods in Short Pump near Richmond (ALWAYS nice there). I guess we are stuck with something we can not use! Thanks a lot Bull Run Dick’s Sporting Goods.
There are other sporting goods store and we will NOT ever go back here!

Well I went in looking for a hammock but to no avail. They have tons of camping equipment like tents and sleeping bags and cookware but no hammocks :\ oh well off to lowes

This location is okay. It doesn’t have the biggest selection and the greeter at the doors greets you like you’re one of his buddies with, «Hey wassup?» I had to laugh out loud one time after I heard it. I came back at other occasions and he did the same.

Though I was disappointed with this trip, the place itself isn’t so bad so I’ll give it 3 stars. I think they’re a bit pricey, but I received a jacket for Christmas from Dick’s & it was the wrong size so I was trying to exchange it. As soon as I walk in the door someone greeted me & asked if I needed help. I explained the situation & he kind of chuckled when I said I was looking for a North Face jacket. He said they were wiped clean & good luck finding the one I needed. Hmm.thanks. I ended up leaving with the jacket I came in with b/c he was right — there were only about 4 North Face jackets of any kind there. Better luck next time I guess…
