A general rule of thumb for all ski outings requiring rentals. Never rent at the resort. You pay a premium, it’s usually always crowded and things can generally be a shitshow.
Skiers Edge, located in Manchester, VT and in close proximity to both Bromley and Stratton mountains, is the perfect antidote to those high prices and unruly crowds. A group of NINE of us, walked in, without a reservation and were in and out of the shop within a half hour. The shop was efficient, the prices were more than reasonable and there were no issues with any of the gear that we rented.
Next time you are crusing the slopes in southern VT, make sure Skiers Edge is your first stop!
