I ended up at Radio Shack after the following bad experience at Verizon Wireless in the same plaza. I saved a ton of money going there Lindzy and the manger were great. I would recommend them for your cell phone(Verizon, Sprint, or ATT) needs or any other thing Radio Shack carries! I went in Friday night and spoke with a consultant about a new phone and bluetooth. He was helpful but I told him that I think the $ 30 upgrade Verizon charges is ridiculous considering how much the phone and service cost. I told him I was going to find the phone he recommended online cheaper and come back and buy the bluetooth from him since he took the time to explain the hone features to me and he works on commission. That night I looked online and didn’t find much cheaper. So I went back the next day and requested the same salesperson. When he spoke with me I let him know I was going yo buy the phone and bluetooth from him but asked him to through in the case for($ 40) free. He said he couldn’t do that. I asked to speak to a manager since I had always had something given to me for free in the past since I had been a verizon customer for over 10 years. He went to get the manger, it took her about 10 minutes to come over(unacceptable) and started with«So Kim what do we have going on her». I explained to her what I wanted and once again expressed my unhappiness about the $ 30 fee. She was full of excuses for the fee, she was rude, and basically told me to go buy the phone some place else. I guess I should send her a thank you note since Radio Shack was in the same plaza. The phone I was looking at in the Verizon store was $ 280 before a $ 50 mail in rebate. The SAME phone was $ 150 no mail in rebate at Radio Shack! It would have been $ 50 if I had made it to a special sale they had that morning that only lasted to noon. I got my phone, case(better color selection than Verizon had), screen cover, and bluetooth for $ 157. I am still going to get the $ 30 fee on my verizon bill so my total cost will be $ 187. There was no wait at Radio Shack. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Summary $ 260 for just phone and upgrade fee at Verizon store $ 187 for phone, case, screen protector, $ 30 verizon BS fee and bluetooth(with none of that on sale)

Radio Shack is my shop for find hard to find connectors, cables, wires, and converters. I’ve been shopping at Radio Shack(many locations) for many years to buy cables, connectors, scanners, books, hobby kits, RC cars(gifts), radios, VCRs, remotes, batteries, and other cool stuff. Radio Shack also sells PC game accessories, mobile phones & plans, and iPods too! However, the staff members at this location really knows their stuff and have been very helpful finding me the right oddball connectors and cables for my gadgets such as my traffic count boards, DVD player, TV, and PC. I’ll go to the store in the mall for convenience, but somehow I always end up here and find what I need. Great store and staff!
