Don’t let the name fool you as it did me for 20 years. They offer good food and great service.

This is a great place for coffee, which is a sweet and rich morning blend. The food is upscale diner fare. Along with the casual atmosphere, the waitstaff is extremely nice, fast, professional. Prices are far lower than food quality, service and location would suggest. Two people can eat good meals and drink wonderful coffee for twenty-five dollars after tax and tip. I come here fairly often, and I’d say it’s right below Uncle Bill’s Pancake House but without the crowd or the long wait.

So I came here with my family based on the Unilocal reviews. I am very happy that we did!!! We came on a Friday morning and there was no line whatsoever. We were immediately greeted and seated. Let me tell you… the reviews on the waffle and pancakes are no joke… they are absolutely heavenly!!! They are so moist with just enough crisp on the waffles… my family devoured their plates within minutes. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the prices can not be beat for the location. I highly recommend ordering the waffles and or pancakes if you ever have the opportunity to try this place.

Yum!!! This place is a favorite of mine! Been here countless number of times and am never disappointed. Note: I’ve had just about every server here at one point. You should definitely ask to get the asian girl. She is like speedy gonzalez there, and she gets everything handled. Some of the other servers are a little on the slow side and not as attentive.(hence the 4 stars instead of 5)

Koffee Kart is this cute little breakfast/lunch diner spot within walking distance to my job so I was hoping it to be a good spot to visit often. The staff is super nice and friendly yet fook is just okay. I’ve had a few items off the lunch menu and some are bland, others salty and nothing that I would order again. Maybe I’ll just stick with breakfast next time.

Last full day in Los Angeles — let’s go eat breakfast on the beach!!! Back to Manhattan Beach, come to find the Koffee Kart after seeing the line to Uncle Bill’s. And was delightfully surprised. The service there is super sweet and my omelette was ridiculous in terms of size and taste — AWESOMEOFAWESOME. It has ham, cheese, avocado inside and the size kind of freaked me out. I was very satisfied with my breakfast, and I even had left-overs for later. Yay!

I happened to partake in the Koffee Kart only because I was going to try Uncle Bills, but the lines were toooooo long. So I Unilocaled on the blackberry to fine Koffee Kart. The funny part is, i parked right across the street, not knowing it was across the street and didn’t realize there were this amazing place called the Koffee Kart. With that said. It was about a 10min wait, which wasn’t very long. As I was seated, i was handed a menu, and a few seconds later the Koffee I ordered was right in front of me. Pat, my waitress, so asked if i was ready, but i told her i needed a few moments as being that it was my first time there. She was about to turn around and walk off, but as soon as she heard that i was new, she immediately started to tell me about the days specials and everything on the menu that was amazing. Which leads me to believe if you’ve been there before you know the routine, or you have your favorite dish in mind. If you are new to the joint, say so, they enjoy spreading the love of the food that they serve. I asked about a few dishes, and then made my order. French toast, eggs and bacon. I realize this is to standard of a dish, but I wanted to try a little of everything to give my best judgment. The French toast was AMAZING!!! The eggs were just that eggs. Bacon… a little salty, but still delicious. The Koffee kept comin’. Almost every time i was half full, they came by to ask if i wanted more. My only prob. was when my food was finished cooking, another server snatched for someone else. To make up for it, Pat bribed me with the most AMAZING muffin I’d ever have. It was cinnimon with small sweet fruit chunks, i think was peach or mango. Such a friendly place, all the staff had smiles, and seemed to enjoy being there. I sure did. I loved the OLD photos of Manhattan Beach, the surfing, and volleyball. Even though the chairs and tables seemed from the late 80’s early 90’s, the signs, and photos made the place like home. If and when in Manhattan Beach, stop in for breakfast, you wont regret it.

I came for Sunday brunch and waited in a line for 30 minutes or so. It wasn’t a particularly nice day, so I assume this wait would be even longer when its nice out. — Guacamole omelet. Normally there isn’t enough ingredients, but this is exactly the opposite. I didn’t think there was enough egg. — Pancakes were thick and very tasty Great place and good cure for a hangover.

I just went again this morning! I had a very delicious omelet called the Herbie– very simple with egg whites, tomatoes and cheese– yet very yummy! Their julienne potatoes rock too! Keep it up.

Basic place for food. Good size portions and good prices. Near the beach and a little unknown so may not be as busy as the other places around here. Matt is a cool waiter.

Hm. Charming. I like. Food wasn’t mind-blowing, but definitely satisfying and on the higher end of diner fare. I got the King’s Hawaiin French Toast. What a good idea to use the natural sweetness of the bread for french toast; I barely had to used any syrup! It was topped with sliced banana… I liked how simple it was. Perchance I was PMSing or something, but I was a little put-off that the lukewarm muffins I got were paired with cold hard butter. How the hell was I supposed to spread the butter over the damn muffin?! *pet peeve alert* I guess I can’t expect all diners to be nit-picky about that kinda thing. In any case, I wouldn’t mind coming back here for a relaxing Sunday brunch.

This is a place to get your simple breakfast or brunch fix. Stumbled upon this small establishment and there wasn’t a wait(possibly a sign?) when all the other restaurants had a small line. Anyways, onto the food and service. Mediocre all around. Decent price and you will be full. Simple as that.

My boyfriend, an MB native, made a point of bringing me to this cute little beach town diner. My boyfriend has good taste. I enjoyed it thoroughly. I had the Fried Egg Sandwich. The egg was a good combination with the mild cheddar and I appreciated the addition of lettuce and tomato. My only complaint was that it had too much mayonnaise. I really like that you can have healthy fruit or tomatoes with most entries. On the day we were there they had banana muffins. They were soooo good, and seem to be only tops. I give them extra points for cute muffins. The portions are huge and I know I would have trouble finishing things.

I really like The El Paso stack here. It’s hash browns, tortillas, eggs over easy, more tortillas, chili, cheese, and sour cream. Maybe not the healthiest thing, but I get a craving for it a couple times a year. I’ll post the picture of the goodness. For my side I got the pineapple muffins. They had a little bit of a coffee cake type topping to them. They were good, but not overly sweet. The dinner itself is pretty small and it common to have a little wait outside. There’s coffee outside, so that helps with the wait. The muffins, biscuits, and eggs benedict’s are pretty good. I think a lot of their other food items can be hit or miss, so hence forth the 3 stars.

It looks like a Jersey Diner on the inside. Unfortunately, the food and service isn’t like a Jersey diner. Service was mediocre. Took 3 tries to get an ice water and an inced tea. While the food came out quickly(omelette’s) and warm, it was delivered by someone other than our waitress. Basically, all the waitress did was write down our order. Did not get us drinks, did not deliver the food, did not get refills. They were out of muffins and biscuits and bagels. OK, that leaves us bread. Obviously the trick is to get here at the crack of dawn before they run out of supplies and ingredients, but wouldn’t one think they would have their ordering down to a science after being open for years? I am still a fan of Martha’s in Hermosa Beach for weekend breakfast/brunch.

I enjoyed my pancakes more than I liked the eggs that were part of my order. The pancakes had yummy buttery and(cinnamony?) goodness in the batter. We didn’t have a wait and our server was quite pleasant and easy to deal with. My husband enjoyed his breakfast burrito and hash browns. We’ll probably come back when we want some breakfast by the beach.

Overrated. There is almost always a line out in front, which is the reason i’ve passed by so many times on weekends without going in. That, and the parking sitch by Manhattan Beach Pier is challenging, to say the least. But today it was drizzling in the beach ‘hood, so I easily snagged a parking spot, and there was no wait at Koffee Kart. All the smart people were home, still in bed. Koffee Kart is open until 2:30pm on Sundays. I got there after 1pm, so they had run out of biscuits. That’s OK, I found plenty else to eat. I chose corned beef hash, after my server promised that it would contain onions, and no mashed potatoes like I experienced at one other restaurant… ew. I ordered eggs over easy with the whites cooked. My server insisted that«eggs over medium» would be OK. Not. She shoulda listened to me when I told her that eggs over medium would not have acceptably runny yolks. How could I understand this fact better than someone who works in a breakfast place? Amazing. In lieu of the missing biscuits, I settled for an English muffin. So. My breakfast, although reasonably priced for MB at $ 7.75 before tax & tip, was not so good. The hash was decent, but the eggs were overcooked. I got hash browns that I didn’t want, not realizing they came with the meal and I coulda subbed tomatoes. The server offered to send the meal back, but I never ever do that, too scary. The muffin was bread-y on the inside, typical. The only place that does an English muffin right is Ye Olde Kings Head in SaMo. When my son was a baby, he called them uppin muppins, haha. I never understood how he came up with that… So my uppin muppin sucked, as did the eggs, but at least no cold A/C was blowing on me as I ate the mediocre meal, thank you. In fact, Koffee Kart was quite cozy inside, and larger than it appears from the outside. In addition to a small counter, there are tables and comfy booths. And in addition to all the customary traditional breakfasts, Koffee Kart serves burgers, hot & cold sandwiches including pananis & wraps, salads, soups & chili, and has a kids’ menu. Some of the offerings in the Outrageous Omelets section of the menu include: The Enchilada omelet. The Gobbler, with turkey, brocolli, and melted Jack. The Demolition, with sausage, bacon, cheese, mushroom, onion, tomatoes, sour cream, and guac. Daily specials included Eggs Florentine & Eggs Benedict. Two and a half stars. And there are 3 ways to fry eggs if ya want runny yolk: Over easy. Over easy with the whites cooked. Over medium. Trust me.

I can’t for the life of me comprehend all these glowing 5-star reviews. I ordered an avocado omelet and asked the waitress to add bacon in the omelet. Said omelet was very, very thin(the anti-thesis of fluffy), the avocado was hard(not ripe), and served sans bacon. I pointed out the problem to the waitress and she asked me if I wanted a side of bacon. I said, well, no, I wanted it IN my omelet… you know like a bacon, avocado and cheese omelet, so I said pls. have them redo it. After 10 mins. of waiting while my BF ate his mediocre fried egg sandwich, I asked where my omelet was. She brought back the same omelet they had given me originally, which I had cut in half, and they’d poured what appeared to be Hormel bacon bits into the middle of it. MMM, YUMMY!!! I took two bites and quickly realized this wasn’t even close to being worth the amount of calories. I let her know that they just gave me the old omelet back instead of giving me a new one cooked the way I asked, so I wasn’t go to eat or pay for it. She took it off the bill but copped a major attitude about it. Don’t come here if you like good food and service. Between all that and the weak ass coffee, this place blows.
