We loved this place! Dog-friendly. Great food! Great service! Enjoyed a wonderful lunch outside on a beautiful Sunday afternoon!

NOTFAMILYFRIENDLY. I came here today with my husband and baby who was sleeping in a compact stroller. We came after lunch and the place was almost empty. We were going to sit at a table but the waitress said they walk by there and suggested we go outside with the stroller. It was unusually cold outside so we asked for another indoor table and they gave us one. After we were seated. the waitress told us to move chairs so that we were on the same side of the table instead of facing each other. She said we had to move because they walk in that spot too — but we were not blocking any paths and the place was empty! We felt so unwelcome and unwanted that we just left. I would not recommend not coming here with babies or young kids.

Best cappuccino I have found, everything else is milk water by comparison. Their regular coffee is amazing, organic and robust!

MSC is Stellar! Check it out, an establishment that chooses to serve Real Nutritional food. Organic coffee and tea, grass fed beef, cage free chicken and eggs. 1st visit, Spring Rolls… excellent, 2nd Chorizo(made in house) & Egg Melt… excellent, 3rd Brisket Banh Mi w/rice paper wrap instead of baguette… again excellent. Great wine selection, priced very reasonable. Definitely a Keto friendly Café. Valerie is just the best and Jose nails it in the kitchen! Enjoy;)

Had not been to MSC since my last review of it nearly a year ago, and I was happy to see that the experience was much improved. Had the Avocado Toast(very delicious!) and tea, and was even offered honey with the tea! Everyone was very happy with the food, the service was great, and my buddy did the stealth pick-up-the-tab move so the price was great too!

How did I never know about this place? Great food, great view, great service. Really enjoyed the dining experience. I had the burger and it was really really good. My SO had the Asian noodles and she really enjoyed them(as long as you like spicy).

One of my favorite neighborhood places. Acai bowl for breakfast is awesome and happy hour tacos are tasty! Very friendly and helpful staff as well. Great coffee and cronuts too.

This place is awesome for breakfast or lunch, especially if you sit outside and can see down the street to the water. I also love that they have thai tea! I forget if they still have them, but the avocado fries are my favorite. The staff is also super friendly. One con is parking is hard to find on the weekends. There’s a small lot with like 2 – 3 spots.

Chicken Banh Mi was a decent concept but not executed at all. The Burger was decent but the presentation a la carte was terrible. Everything was served on these super small plates with no garnish and not even a sauce or something to spruce up the plate. Throw a mixed green salad or some fries on the plate and at least it will look like a meal. I’ve heard good things about this place and it’s a super locals spot but I can’t imagine they will be around in 3 years. It’s sad how many restaurants just don’t know what people want. Or they are just lazy.

Acceptable if you’re in the area. From the reviews I was thinking it must be a proper breakfast café but it is more of a breakfast-sandwich and coffee place in the morning. Wife and I both had breakfast sandwiches and latte’s. Latte’s were very good. Sandwiches were made with good quality ingredients but lack a cohesive flavor and moisture. I added catsup to my sandwich which provided the moisture but masked the subtle favors of the rest of the ingredients. Needs a secret sauce. Location and views are great assets, great view of the bay. Downside is that the only parking is on the street and can be is a challenge. There is a beer and wine bar and food service for lunch and dinner. Wines range from reasonable($ 20) to very expensive($ 90). Beers are non-standard brands.

I just love this place! What a perfect way to jumpstart my morning by coming here. I felt right at home the moment I walked in and the staff was super awesome :-) Valerie is the coolest, she took my order and made sure I got to try their delicious skinny fries with my burger. There is flavor in every bite, even until the very last one. I was also lucky to try a freshly baked chocolate brownie that just came out of the oven… to die for! I’m grateful for my experience here. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. I can’t wait to come back.

Friendly and fast service, unique dining area, and delicious, healthy food! Usually, when I go out for brunch, I leave the place with a food baby with the carb overload. However, Marine Street provided me with a breakfast that left me feeling healthy and refreshed. The place is just a little down the street from the beach. Parking, as always in Manhattan Beach, can be difficult to find. This brunch places offers healthier and GF options. There’s a Vietnamese cuisine twist to some of the items on the menu, with the Banh Mi and the Vietnamese Latte. They also serve boba! A little pricier than what I’m used to paying($ 1 extra for boba), so I didn’t choose to get it. They have chai tea lattes, green tea, and one other one. Oh, and acai bowls and fruit parfaits! Extra avocado is $ 2 more. My dish consisted of 2 poached eggs with arugula, tomatoes, cheese, and a slice of multigrain toast. Healthy to the MAX for 10.95 $! I loved the food, but it honestly did not leave my tummy as satisfied as I had wished. I guess my only complaint is the amount of food you receive for the price you pay. At the counter, they offer a variety of bars, pastries, and the ice cream sandwiches from the Manhattan Creamery down the street. The dining area is small and quaint, but I find it so cute! There’s different levels to where you can sit.

I shared a spicy sausage scramble but it seems like the spice was all over everything not just the sausage and way too much of it. I personally feel that they should not charge extra for bread with you breakfast. Just ask the customer if they want bread and give it to them included in the price. It has a nice view especially from the upper dining area. Too few choices on the breakfast menu so I doubt I will come back again.

In town from the East Coast on business and wanted to get out and about for a nice walk along Manhattan Beach. Came across this cute corner café and I’m so glad I did. Had the shrimp tacos with the freshest cilantro, avocado and pico. I don’t know what the salsa was made with but it was the perfect blend of sweet and slightly hot. Altogether yum! Great outdoor seating and friendly staff. Will def be my ‘go to’ on my future trips out here.

Amazing food, really cute interior and view of the water. Went around lunch time though so we didn’t get any service. Really, after taking our order and bringing our food they forgot about us. We had to go find them so we could pay for our food. Granted the line was out the door, which bring me back to the main point, amazing food.

Visiting Cali from St. Louis and I found this little hidden gem thanks to Unilocal! It’s a very cute, modern café and it even has beautiful ocean views!!! Super clean and eco friendly. My veggie breakfast burrito and iced chai was nothing short of superb! Also, if you are looking for excellent service, I recommend asking for Arturo! He was super sweet and very kind! I wish I could find a place with as excellent of service on St. Louis!

Some places need more credit than Unilocal can provide. If you’re looking for a quaint, quiet, and picturesque café this is your spot. The best coffee and yogurt parfait north of the Strand! If you’re not in a hurry it’s def worth the wait to sit on the loft(left north east corner table-no DJ) for the magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean and 1980s signed beach volleyball players. Overall a 10+ experience and I look forward to my next double caffè doppio.

Pros: + Fantastic service. Friend and I came in on a weekend evening for dinner and the waitress, who’s name I’m forgetting, took good care of us. We left satisfied, intent on coming back again. + Stylish layout of space; it’s two stories so you can sit downstairs or upstairs. Either way, you’ll get a beautiful view of the ocean, especially at sunset. Décor is beachy and rustic. + Food is deliciously fresh and clean. We started with the skinny seasoned fries, enjoyed the shrimp tacos and finished with a couple of ice cream sandwiches. They serve their drinks in mason jars, which is a nice detail. + They operate as a café so they do coffee and pastries, but also have a menu so you can enjoy lunch or dinner if the occasion calls for it. The ambiance is casual enough to keep them in the middle, which isn’t a bad thing. + It’s located at the corner of Highland and Marine, so you can’t miss it. Park anywhere in the neighborhood or on a meter. Cons: — None.

Went here with a friend to grab a bite to eat for lunch. After reading some of the reviews and seeing some of the dishes as we walked in, we decided to go with an order of the sweet potato fries and tempura avocado to start. The sweet potato fries had a nice spice on them that was very tasty and a great dipping sauce as well – probably some of the best I’ve ever had. The avocado was very tasty as well, but highly overpriced on the menu($ 6.50) since it was only one avocado cut into 4 pieces. For the meal we split the spicy brisket sandwich and the grilled chicken bahn mi. The sandwiches were definitely fresh and had decent flavor, but I felt like there was just one element missing from both of them. By adding the dipping sauce from the avocado to the bahn mi it really completed it. On the other hand, the brisket was very spicy, but lacked one more dimension of flavor in my opinion. Overall, the food here is fresh and tasty and the service is friendly. A nice little spot just up the hill from the beach and worth checking out for lunch in the area.
