I got Dr. Wong’s name from my insurance company. I was impressed with his credentials and reviews so I called to make an appointment but was booked with his associate since he could not see me on the days I had available. I then called back to say that I really wanted to see him. I was offered May 25, 2015, Memorial Day and I accepted. About a day or so later, I got a call from someone who identified himself as Dr. Wong saying he wouldn’t be in that day. No problem; I’d call after the holiday to reschedule. On Memorial Day I got a call from Dr. Wong. He left a message insisting that I call him back ASAP on his cell phone. I did. He asked why I hadn’t kept my appointment. I reiterated that he had called to cancel it. He said he did not and began a 15 – 20 minute assault on his staff, grilling me obsessively about who called me, problems with his landlord, who is also his medical associate. Very bizarre… Later the same day, Memorial Day, he called me again, accusing and telling me how upset he was that I would mislead him by saying his staff canceled my appointment (which I never said). He again, continued, obsessively, to now berate ME, for causing him to doubt his staff… I had heard enough. I told him that I had never met him nor his staff, I simply wanted my eyes examined for my yearly eye exam. He COULDNOT stop angrily accusing me of causing him to distrust his staff… I was just about to hang up when he blurted out«We will not have a relationship» and hung up on me! I am writing this because his behavior was unbelievably bizarre and frightening. I had never met him and certainly would NEVER trust him. I dug deeper into reviews of him and although many are glowing, there are some that hint at this type of instability. All I can say, is be on the alert…
