Michelbob’s Championship Ribs & Steaks

This place is fantastic. Ribs are so tender. Meat falls off the bone. Chicken not so great just stay with the ribs. Sides are ok. Carry– out only open on Marco for pick up I think like 4/​8pm. Haven’t had better ribs anywhere and we are Chicago people! Very friendly staff at counter with the New York accent (maybe Jersey)…

Well, the awards probably got to my head, but I think these are some very fine ribs. Fine, as in pretty darn good. Got a full rack of ribs, and it filled me up for under $ 14. Probably about 14 bones on one rack. Meat was really chewy, and the sweet and tangy barbecue sauce drove the flavor home. I love it.

Take out on Marco Island is convenient, and the hours are good. Ribs & chicken are BOTH really wonderful, tender and flavorful. All of their sides are well made & really fresh; you will not be disappointed when ordering whatever you like. They always also throw in abundant extra packets of their wonderful sauces. Sealed packaging easily keeps food warm, especially in the oven on low for a while longer, if necessary.

I have only been to the Marco location which is take out and I think it is the best bang for the buck on the island. Also one of the best ribs I have ever had. Every now and then it can be a bit inconsistent but 95% of the time. It is amazing. This past New Year’s Eve we dipped in and I purchased the feast so much food we could not finish it in 3 days. Ribs. Chicken pulled pork baked potatoes and corn and BBW beans and coleslaw. All so good. Yum yum up side Great food Great Price

It is the place to go in Naples for ribs. There is no place even close. We have the shipped home for our July 4^th family barbecue. The atmosphere is informal. The service is good.

I have to agree with one of the other reviewers, this place is «alright».
We ordered the Baby Back combos #2 (with pulled pork) and #3 (with chicken), corn on the cob and a mild sausage.
The portions were generous and they both came with baked beans, coleslaw and grilled Texas Toast.
They were packaged nicely and included disposable cutlery. The food was not, by any means, bad. By the same token, it was not, by any means, spectacular. It was just «alright». Certainly not the best bbq I have ever had or even the best ribs (which are championship ribs somehow), not even on my top 3.
I can’t say that I wouldn’t eat there, and by that I mean order take out; but I could live without it. Its not that the meats are not tender or properly cooked, they just lack that «wow» factor. The customer service was great and the ordering and picking up processes were smooth, though.
I feel this place has such high ratings because it is probably the only dedicated BBQ place on the island. At the same time, some minor tweaking and this place could definitely live up to the other 5 star reviews.

No trip to Marco Island is complete without picking up some Michelbob’s ribs for a picnic. These ribs are delicious and their bbq sauce is addictive. Order whats on the menu, don’t ask for special treatment. They sling ribs and do not entertain adjustments to menu options. Order like a pro, take, eat and enjoy. We go to Marco Island every year and Michelbob’s is a must have for every single trip.

Delicious beyond what I can even say — YUM! My recommendation is to order more ribs that you think you want! ;) We ordered the ribs multiple times during our one week stay.

Fantastic food i have it every year when i come down fir vacation but this time their service was terable. But there food is by far one of the best things i havevever had. I dont really like ribs but thus is the one time i always eat the babyback ribs.

We love Michelbobs and make it a point to order out from there every time we’re on the island. This location is takeout only. Tip is to get one of the family packs, they seem to be ready quickly. I’ve had BBQ all over the country including BBQ hot spots in the south and Michelbobs remains one of my faves! Highly recommend — yum!

This review was for the restaurant not the take out. Ok there is a sign out front that reads «Best ribs in America!» Now I can’t say say that bold claim is true yet but, I can’t prove them wrong either! The Baby Back Ribs are in a class by themselves. I hate to admit this but their pulled pork is every bit as good as mine! The menu is typical of a BBQ rib joint but everything is done exceptionally well. Truly a 30 napkin meal. I didn’t really save room for desert but the peanut butter pie was unfreakinreal! Seriously it would be an absolute shame to miss this place if you are in the area!

It was good but not quite the best. We ordered pulled pork, chicken and ribs as a family meal. I think the beans were the best thing about the meal. The chicken was dry (and I had the thighs so imagine the breast) and didn’t have good charring. It needed the bbq sauce to give it flavour. The ribs were good but not amazing. Best thing about it was we got a Groupon deal so for $ 15 we got $ 30 worth of food. So for $ 15 for our order (we were 3 families) I guess it was worth it. I wouldn’t pay full price for it.

Ordered the pulled pork dinner and it was superb! Great BBQ! The beans and coleslaw were also really good. I liked their sweet sauce better than their tangy. There was plenty of food and it was a decent price! My only complaint is that the piece of corn on the cob that came with my meal was not good corn. I would instead go with the potato salad, had a bite of grandma’s and it was good!

Absolutely the best, falloff the bone, belly rubbing ribs ever had. Baked beans like heaven, cole slaw like Grandma’s and prices that cannot be beaten. For a carry out place I did have some doubts but not anymore. Expect to wait 15 – 20 mins. after placing order but that is well worth the wait. Going back to try the chicken which is supposed to be better then the ribs. They due ship anywhere in U.S. overnite so you can heat and eat. If you are on Marco Island you must go here.

Top notch every time. We got a smaller order this time because it was late in the week so no Chicken. But the ribs — cole slaw — beans — garlic bread: amazing. Look forward to it every year!

So disappointing. My parents heard great things about Michaelbob’s at the hotel, so we got takeout for an easy dinner. I won’t comment on the actual pickup experience since I wasn’t there, although they report there were no issues.
Long story short: the ribs are mediocre. I was really disappointed. They didn’t look bad at first, but they didn’t have much taste except somewhat burnt barbecue. The sauces were just as mediocre – no use in them. Yes, the ribs were soft, no, they were not the softest things I’ve had. Chili’s ribs are far and away better.
Coleslaw was okay, nothing special. Nobody else thought their food (chicken, potato, etc.) was that good either. I see no reason to return. Oh well.

The previous experience where we threw out the food may have been poor quality control during the off season the ribs were spoiled so my recommendation is to go during season

Haven’t been in a while but this is one of the best if not the best b-​b-​q I’ve ever had. So much so that, while in college, we used to do day trips to Marco Island (2hrs each way) to go eat there. The ribs are just perfect as are the very important sides. Whenever in Marco Island, be sure to visit Michelbob’s!!!

Michelbob’s could be amazing, but there are a few things that make me want to stave off a higher grade. We got a rack and a half of baby back ribs. They came as 3 half racks. Problem was that all 3 racks were cooked to a different cosistency, not to sure how that was managed? One was stellar, another too done and the last burnt. The potato salad was pretty bad. The coleslaw was okay.

I’m going to have to say that I’ve had better.
The ribs do fall off the bone but they were a little too dry for my taste. I actually preferred the ribs without the sauce.
