Sunny Teriyaki

The food is alright. I came in one night ordering fried rice. It was great! I came back a week later and ordered the same thing… It was completely different from the first time! Wasn’t as good. The staff isn’t really all that friendly as she wouldn’t let me purchase a drink which I thought was odd. But I don’t mind it. Maybe just a bad experience… I’ll try it again later

I have eaten here 4 times, always good food and lots of it. Service pretty good as well just one time I had a issue.

We ordered the usual stuff that we order at Teriyaki places: Yakisoba with chicken, Mongolian beef and Chicken Teriyaki The food was overcooked and the Mongolian beef tasted like it was soaked in sugar, The Yakisoba was really salty and the chicken tasted old. Would not go back, do not recommend.

I was blown away by the customer service. Way to go! Large amount of good food for low price.

The lady that runs the place is super friendly. Their teriyaki is good. When you dine in you get miso soup and fresh fruit with your meal. When you order for pickup the food is ready quite fast.

My husband got the chicken, beef and broccoli combo. Both were delicious.
I got the chicken, general tso combo. It was great. The general wasn’t the super deep fried greasy mess you usually get.
We also go their deep fried pot stickers (I forget what they called them) and they were very tasty.
Both entrees came with a salad, and mine came with a drink. Great deal. Total it was $ 23, including tax, and we had enough leftovers for three meals.
The lady working the front was very sweet. I love how she checked our order right in front of us before we left.
We will definitely be going back.

Sunny’s would be packed every night if it weren’t tucked in a small strip mall that’s tough to get in to. The food is excellent and the owners who work tirelessly are very caring. Stop in and order whatever you see. It’s all good. I’ve been coming here for years. My favorite is the cashew chicken. The spicy cabbage salad is amazing too. It can take a while to get the food so be patient. It’s all made on demand.

Always like coming here when I’m in the north sound. Will take this place over fast food. The Korean gal is always so friendly, smiling, and brings you miso and orange slices while waiting for your food. Place is clean and portions are huge. I’ve seen some reviews on here complaining about quantity over quality. It’s large portions and good food together. But you just can’t please everyone. You’ll find them in every crowd.

I got the vegetation teriyaki for lunch. To my surprise it came with a bowl of miso soup and a plate of sliced oranges, which was nice to have before my meal came. The teriyaki sauce was was very good, not the overly sweet sauce you get at other places, and the portion was perfect for a lunch. I will definitely be back.

Great service and friendlly, clean atmosphere. I had the lunch special-​chicken teriyaki with eggroll (dine in) and the portion is generous. It came with miso soup, fresh kimchi salad, orange slices and a drink.
They serve it to you too, with a smile. Definitely a good find and come again.

I ate here after reading other great reviews. I deeply regret it. I ordered the Sweet & Sour Chicken, and saw the picture of the dish above the register. The picture of the dish looked just like it always does at every other asian restaurant.
We got Miso soup (free of charge) while waiting, and it was not very good. It had an odd citrusy flavor to it which I didn’t care for. I appreciate that it’s their unique spin on the classic, but I prefer it the classic way.
When my meal came, (Sweet & Sour Chicken), it looked nothing like the photo near the register.
The dish must’ve been cooked in fish oil, because it reeked of fish, and I ate a couple pieces, trying to get past the insanely strong fish flavor, but I couldn’t handle it. It tasted so disgustingly fishy that I almost vomited. I tried to imagine I was eating fish and not a chicken dish, to see if I could make it through another piece of chicken, but I couldn’t. I spat it out and shared my husband’s meal, which was the classic Teriyaki Chicken.
I had several pieces of his Teriyaki Chicken, and it was lukewarm, not hot, and only mediocre. Not great; not even tasty, but I was starving, so I ate it. It was lacking in flavor and was the worst Teriyaki Chicken I’ve had in this area.
The lady at the front counter was very nice, but her English was not that great, so I didn’t even try to tell her about how awful my food tasted. I wasn’t sure she’d understand.
The service was okay, not fantastic like lots of other people have said. The place was clean but stark and chilly, like they needed to turn the heat up a bit and add some more furnishings or decorations or something.
So overall: I got a meal that was so disgusting I could not eat it, and my husband got a meal that was only ok. Worst Teriyaki place we’ve ever been to. We will not be returning here.

Best teriyaki in town! Owner is so sweet!

Best teriyaki I have had so far in Washington. Had the pork and it was very tender. Spicy salad had a great taste to it without too much heat.

Great people, great food what else is there? This is a must try for everyone near the area!

This IS the only teriyaki place we go to… the service is beyond fantastic. She brings out pieces of fruit while we wait for our meal, and goes above and beyond to make sure we are satisfied whether we are eating in or carrying out. They are very very nice people. He has always made our meals fresh, it tastes great and is always hot!
We are so pleased with this place. the restaurant is clean, the restroom is clean, and very welcoming.

Good. Service is wonderful. Food portion is big. Teriyaki seemed a little bitter. Still ok though

I liked the Mongolian Beef since it was cooked crispy. +1 for this.
