The worst customer service I’ve ever experience! They screwed up my account and then were unwilling to fix it! They swiped someone else’s card on my account so I wasn’t getting charged. I asked about it twice!!! They said I didn’t have a balance. I went back in to tan and they said I owed $ 190 before I could tan. I’ve tried to resolve the issue with no response from them!!! Horrible horrible CS!

Friendly staff, although they love to talk about their products. It’s always clean and quick in-​and-​out. Comfortable.

I am writing this review because I see all the bad reviews on Yahoo and wanted to make sure that there is a recent review. Notice all the bad reviews are over a year ago. I went in yesterday and having never been to a tanning salon didn’t know what to expect. From the Yahoo reviews I was really kinda scared. From the reviews I thought I would receive no customer service and would not get my questions answered and then be pressured to buy all the products. On the contrary, I was greeted immediately by a very friendly employee named Dillon!!! He was very informative and very nice. He listened to what I wanted and then offered a deal that would fit my needs. He did pull out several moisturizers that were his personal favorite and explained each one and then backed off to let me decide which ones I wanted. There was no pressure nor did I see him trying to pressure anyone else into buying anything. The place was clean and spa-​like. The stand up bed was great! The built in music which you control made the experience perfect. They have phones on the wall to call up front if you have problems or questions, which made me feel at ease. They provide towels and hair ties in the bathroom. The hair ties were a life saver as I hadn’t intended on tanning the first time. I was just coming in to set up the program. I have very long hair and so the hair tie was perfect! I asked about why they had such bad reviews and of course it was because they had gone through 3 managers in the past. The manager they have now is GREAT because Dillon is awesome and as far as I can see so is this store!!! So happy!!! it won t be long and I will be golden brown! Yay for Planet Tan in McKinney!!!

Melanie is a manager here and she was so comforting to me! I am very pasty white and I have freckles, my mom even has red hair and green eyes so we have the whole irish «we’ll never ever tan» thing going on. In the past I had tried Versa Spa spray tans at another Planet Tan location and while I always looked great the first few days, after I had gone for a run or gone to hot yoga I had sweat all of the color off, usually in an embarassing way as it stained the yoga towels, my sheets on my bed, or my running clothes.
So last year I gave up on spray tans and decided I would just have to learn to love being freakishly pale. Then, my husband got a wild idea and decided I should go back in and at least talk about tanning beds. Lo and behold, I have found my tanning guru, the tanning jesus, Melanie. Not only did she insist on seeing me in person before making decisions about how I could tan, but she sat and talked to me for over half an hour.
She talked to me about what the different beds do and told me which beds would work best for me without burning me, then she talked to me about a ton of different products and helped me choose the right ones for me and my complexion. She was super patient and so helpful and every time I’ve been to this location so far it’s always been clean, the staff has been super nice, and I just love it!
The good news? I haven’t been going very long but I’m already starting to see color! I’m telling you, melanie = tanning goddess. She knows it all!
