Scotty P’s Hamburgers McKinney

It was just average. Didn’t blow me away.

Today went to Scotty P’s for the first time to get a burger to go. Have seen it when I drive to work so decided to go & get a Swiss Cheeseburger. Comes with a slice of tomato, a small piece of lettuce. Asked for extra Swiss & medium well. The staff was real nice & it came out pretty quick.
Here is my issue. I love love Swiss cheese. Love it! What they put on this burger could not have been in no way real cheese — I mean it for sure was a processed cheese product. You CAN taste the difference, you can see the difference. I just like real cheese. It was melted on there but you don’t get those cheese strands when it’s processed. That right there turns me off from going back. It just didn’t taste like a Swiss burger. The burger itself was flat & dry — it was overcooked. Just didn’t taste fresh. And just way too skimpy with lettuce & tomato. Anyway the place looks fun & they have tons of other menu items that look great — I might go back but I won’t order a burger. P. S. the fries honestly were tasteless. Granted this was a to go order, so by the time I hit my destination 15 minutes later — it’s not going to taste as good as getting a hot burger in person. Just not for me.

The buffalo chicken sandwich was excellent. Everything was warm and fresh and they didn’t charge extra for extra tomatoes and lettuce. Comfortable seating and good prices. Friendly staff. The guy that took our order was very helpful and positive attitude.

I have been dining in or picking up Scotty Ps a couple times a week the last few months. The staff is always extremely friendly and very thoughtful in their service. The food is always fresh and the orders correct! Scotty P’s treats their customers right and far better than their competitors.

Fantastic burger and fries. The heard mushroom burger is the only thing I’ve tried there, and I’m convinced it’s the best on the menu. Definitely give it a try. Really good shakes too!

Had a late workday so meet the family over here for dinner. I had heard good things, and they were all correct. Burgers were really good and decent sized. Prices very reasonable for the portion you got. We’ll be back

Went in around 6pm and the place was pretty dead, i ordered a #6 cheesebrgr w bacon and fries. There was no line to order and the staff was helpful. The order took some time to make more than i would expect for the amount of people inside. The air could of been turned cooler, it was 97 out and felt like 85 inside! The burger was delicious had a great taste from the grill, the bacon was a liitle more crisper then i prefer. But definitely a good burger! You receive plenty of fries so u could share

This review is for Scotty P’s salads. I called in an order for four chopped salads and added grilled chicken to all four. I also asked for my dressings on the side. I expected the usual and what I got was a pleasant surprise. All four of the salads were big and beautiful with a lot of toppings. Also, their wasn’t one bad piece of lettuce in any of them. Whomever is chopping their vegetables at this location deserves a raise. All the lettuce was chopped perfectly as were the cucumbers and other veggies. All four salads were beautiful and tasted great. I will definitely be going back for more salads. It’s rare that a restaurant exceeds my expectations but they did so I thought it necessary to write this review and to say thank you. Thank you for putting out a better product and serving your customers well. I wish I had taken a photo.

My wife and I had lunch here on Saturday. She had the turkey Burger and I had the Hatch Burger. We each ordered the combo which included fries. We should have ordered one with just the burger, there are plenty of fries for 2 people.
As the 3 stars indicate, this place is A-​OK. It did not have any WOW factor but that is not to say there was anything wrong with the place. I would come back for another meal next time I am at Trader Joe’s but I would not drive too far out of my way to eat here.
Check it out, if you are a burger freak, which I am not, you may love this place.

The staff is nice but, the food is bad. They used to make turkey burgers by hand fresh with seasoning. Now they are a frozen patty. $ 5.79 each plus tax. A waste of money. A bad meal. They also use frozen patties for their veggie burgers, too.
Beef might not be frozen. But the rest is all frozen.

Was out shopping and was craving a Char-​grilled burger. Most places just griddle fry their burgers, and you miss the flavor that char grilling gives.
The burger (I got a #1 Platter, no cheese) was perfectly cooked (with good crusty caramelization), juicy, and had very very fresh vegetables on it.
The tomato was very large around (yeah!), perfectly ripe, and not overly thick in section.
The pickles were too thickly cut, being almost ½ inch thick.
The lettuce was emerald green, not the iceberg stuff that cheap places use.
Lastly the purple onion was nice, and not overly thick too.
Tons of french fries that were very good.
All in all, very good experience!

I’ve always had good burgers here. The burgers are tasty and cooked well done unless you tell them otherwise. The fries are pretty good, too. I haven’t had much else besides the burgers, but thy have been very consistent. The people working there are always nice.

Just awful! Whataburger makes better burgers.
Save yourself the awful meal and go to Village burger in Allen. It’s the same price but everything a burger should be.

I walk in and it’s not over-​crowded, which i enjoy, and it smells so good. This time i order a chicken sammy (i’ve had burgers before). It wasn’t overcooked and it tasted like it was fried at the right temperature (i have worked in the food industry). The staff, this time a girl (forgot the name) was nice and pretty, as well as well mannered. These things seems to be a constant at this place.
The burgers which i have enjoyed in my previous visits have always been cooked to my specifications, albeit maybe a tad bit under/​over my customary «well» cook for the patty meat. Always very delightfully juicy and the lettuce, tomato, and onions always taste fresh…
I will continue coming to this location, and am a satisfied customer. This review will be updated if i ever have a bad experience, so keep up the good work.

Their original burger with avocado added is my usual! Also you must try the cardiac fries! Sweet potato fries are pretty good too!

Friendly service and great burgers wins my heart. I came in randomly for their Heard Mushroom burger. I waited 5 mins for the order, which I took to-​go. Next time, I want to try their shake and chicken tenders. Bön appetite y’all!

Always good. This place knows how to do burgers and don’t miss the onion rings, done in wide slices and never greasy. I have been there many times and never been disappointed.

The loaded fries here were tasty. The regular cheese burger was alright, I’d like to try something different.

I normal get the crispy chicken sandwich with cheddar cheese — so good. Huge portions. Great fries and onion rings.
