We went here for dinner and the food was quite good. We had the fried mozzarella for an app which was breaded and fried to perfection. The marinara sauce that came with it was excellent as well. The bread given to us was baked fresh and was warm and crispy. I had the chicken parm and my wife had the eggplant parm. Both were very delicious! The chicken was a thin cut and breaded served with linguine pasta. The only downside was that the linguine was a little under cooked.(Better than over cooked any day though). If I did have a complaint it would be that my wife’s drink was 12 dollar. It was an amaretto sour and nothing extravagant to be honest. Other than that, the food was great and we enjoyed it as well. Would definitely go here again.

Came here for a birthday party of 5. The food was spectacular– veal chop, lasagna, cleopatra special seafood and lobster over linguine. I also have 2 daughters with food allergies to all nuts and sesame. The staff was knowledgeable and, because they make everything fresh in house, they could guarantee no nuts or sesame in anything– not even bread or desserts. Great place– great food!

Can’t believe this place has ratings this good. The decoration of this place. It’s like they tried to be fancy but end up being somewhere between a high school prom and a cheap hotel restaurant. The food is not bad, but it’s not good as well. For the same price range, there are way too many places to visit within 10 minutes of driving from this place that are better overall. The biggest problem is the price. It is overpriced($ 14 for three shrimps, $ 54 for a veal chop). It is overrated. Everyone is talking about the veal chop, but it’s nothing special. I don’t want to pay more than $ 20 for its taste. Service was good, our server was always around. He asked a couple of times to see if the food was ok. It was okay but just not worth that much. Just go somewhere else.

If you’re familiar with the TV show ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’, then you’ll know what I mean when I say that my boyfriend and I consider this restaurant to be our«Gorgino’s»! Highly recommended for marriage proposals, anniversaries and impressive first dates! A little expensive, but well worth it!

Maybe it was the prix fix dinner menu limitations on Valentine’s, but I was very disappointed. We were given a gift card for dinner here from friends who love this place. Would not go again for the money. Not at all the special evening we hoped for.

The food was fabulous, the décor is a bit run down and could use some dusting. Service was both overly attentive and very slow. I went as a large group(12 people) over lunch and from apps to desert it took 2.5 hours. A lot of that time we were waiting around. The restaurant was mostly empty besides our group, so I’m assuming they cater to the night crowd more? We had like 5 people waiting on our table. One guy would walk around and refill our water glasses and then 2 minutes later another guy would do the same thing. If we requested anything more complicated then a water refill, it would take 15 minutes. It took them 30 minutes to get our checks because they struggled with splitting the checks, even though we mentioned it at the start and they said it would be no problem. So in summary, good food, overly attentive staff who doesn’t move quickly or do math quickly.

Wow. What an incredible place! This restaurant is fantastic. We had calamari and buffalo mozzarella for starters and there were a multitude of entrees at our table. It is incredibly reasonably priced and the wine selection is fantastic. Good quality and fair price. Will definitely return.

Great little authentic non chain Italian place in Tyson’s. Took my college age son and he thought it was the best. Great soup, unreal seafood pasta(tasted homemade and server said it was), nice homemade deserts, and staff made it seem family authentic. Décor a little dated but doesn’t it seem that is the way REALITALIAN is supposed to be? Not cheap but worth it. Will go again.

One of the delicious Italian restaurants in DC area. Good wine selections but wine service is not the best. If u want a better and romantic wine service, go to the Bonaroti in Vienna. Their wine service and desserts are better. But I prefer main dishes here.

Ok, so I’m a fan of Italian food. A big fan. This place worried me due to the location — in a strip mall next to a mattress store. When we arrived, it was empty. There were two tables in the back with people there, but that’s it. We were worried — really worried. Myself and two coworkers decided to give it a shot and we were not disappointed. I had the best Chicken Francese I’ve ever had. The chicken was so tender you could cut it with a mean look. Our server was excellent and she never forgot about us. This would easily have been a five star rating, but there was one thing that set wrong with me. A small group came in and were seated next to a table who had kids. The new group had no kids and when the kids got just a little unruly(nothing unusual or «too» loud) they insisted that the table with kids be moved. I overheard them complaining to the server who then asked the table with kids to be moved. This type of d-baggery should not be tolerated, much less rewarded by asking the table with kids to move. They were there first and were halfway through their meal. The other table only had drinks and bread when it happened. Instead of insisting that the folks who just sat down move, the staff asked the table with kids to move. If it had been me, I would have moved my kids to the table that sat between me and the d-bags. Instead, they were moved to the front door. Poor move and no class on the part of the management. Otherwise, the service was excellent and the food outstanding. If you have kids(and go early like this couple did), expect to be moved on a whim by any request from another customer. This would easily be five stars if it weren’t for the bad move on the part of management. It really isn’t that classy of an atmosphere and we were there early enough that the couple was obviously trying to be as courteous as possible while still being able to go out to eat. If your place isn’t kid-friendly, then add some signage.

Great option for Italian! Great service, good wine list, apps(burrata & calamari) were tasty, and the lobster ravioli was legit! I’ll be back next time I’m in town.

By DC standards the food tastes like a 5 star, but by Philly(USA) and Napoli(Italia), it’s a solid 3 star with lots of hard working Central Americans cooking and serving good old American version of Italian food. The staff make the place a great local restaurant. The décor needs work and refurbishment. The place is quiet enough to hear yourself think and hear what your dining companions say, which is excellent! Beware – They are closed on Sunday or at least they were yesterday.

Great staff. Very friendly. Real Italian food. Had the veal picatta, chicken francese and burrata. Burrata was wonderful. added balsamic and it took it over the top. Sauce on the chicken was delicious! Entrees came with polenta and mixed veggies. We made reservations for 6:30 on a Saturday but didn’t need them. We arrived early and had no problem being seated.

My friend works here, I love Italian food, and I’ve never been to this restaurant so of course I had to go. I put the address in my bf’s GPS and it took us to Clyde’s which was weird. I put the address on my phone and it directed us to the restaurant which was on the corner(not far from Clyde’s). It’s definitely hidden so may be tricky to find at first. We had reservations for 6:30 and got there super early(around 5:45). The restaurant is warm and cozy, and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. We got seated in this huge, private booth that has curtains. I was told that the curtains are mostly for decoration, not for using. ;) There’s only about 2 – 3 booths in the back of the restaurant and I think it’s great if you want to go on a romantic date. We got a basket of bread to start which was fresh and delicious. For appetizer, we had the calamari. It was fine but it lacked flavor… very plain. Thank goodness for marinara sauce. For our entrees, my bf ordered the popular veal chop($ 52 market price) and I had the Cleopatra Linguine special(jumbo shrimp, mussels, scallops, and lobster). I was worried at first when I saw my plate come out because it was covered in a LOT of sauce. I thought the taste would be heavy. Surprisingly it wasn’t but they could have done with less sauce. It was quite overwhelming(on the plate) and when you mix everything up, some of the sauce made it’s way off the plate. However, I thoroughly enjoyed my dish. It was very tasty and all the seafood was superb. My bf also enjoyed his veal chop but said it is NOT worth $ 52. It’s disappointing how overpriced it is. Yes, it IS veal but he felt like he could have spent that money for a delicious steak at a high end steak restaurant. He said he wouldn’t get the veal chop again and would stick with pasta. For dessert, we got tiramisu which was probably the best I’ve had anywhere. It was very creamy which you don’t get at most restaurants. I highly recommend it. Overall, very good restaurant with awesome service. You never have to worry about being thirsty because they are constantly refilling your glass with water which is great. I left very satisfied and will be coming back!

This is one of those good news-bad news places. We live about a miles away yet for some reason, we’ve driven by this place for since the 1980s. We went for my birthday. We ordered the house special Lamb Chop for $ 50.00 It was good but over priced by $ 25 to $ 28.00 The waiter had a cold kept snorting through his nose, loudly too, not something you want to hear while eating. On the more positive side, the place is old world elegant décor and the service, snorting aside, is good and there is plenty of free parking. However we won’t be back.

Old school italian restaurant. Great service with classic food. We had a largish group, so we had a couple of the established waiters helping out. We had a variety of appetizers(calimari was my favorite), but all were good. Entrees were also very good, the table seemed to have a bit of everything. The Osso bucco seemed to be the biggest hit. Everything seems to be scratch made, which is why it rates higher than the average italian fare. Will be back in the future!

We went here for my bf’s birthday. Reading the great Unilocal reviews, I was excited to try this place out. Frist impressions, I was very underwhelmed with the interior décor, but hey, if the food was amazing, I could quickly get over that. Unfortunately it wasn’t. The service — Our waitress spoke to us like she was on auto pilot. I’m sure it gets boring saying the same thing year after year but when you’re spoken to in a way that feels completely scripted, it makes me feel like they’re not engaged and it makes for a disappointing experience. One thing I thought odd was how she did not had us the menu directly, it was placed in front of us on the table. It happened for both the main menu and dessert menu! I don’t want to be nit-picking but I’m sitting right here, why not hand me the menu?! My water, however, was always kept full. We ordered the calamari to start with. I’m not going to say it was bad. It was decent, but I’ve had better. The batter kept falling off which is annoying because the whole point is to enjoy cripsy rings of squid! For our entrée my bf ordered their famous veal chop and I had the shrimp scampi(AKA Shrimp Monte Cristo). The veal chop was a huge $ 50(market price) disappointment. It looked a little burnt and we were surprised by the amount of fat on it for a $ 50 piece of meat! My expectations were to put a piece in my mouth and be taken to heaven, that didn’t happen. Again, it wasn’t bad, but it was just ok. As far as the shrimp scampi goes, you can’t really ruin shrimp scampi! It tasted fine. For dessert we tried the tiramisu and crème brûlée. The tiramisu looked like it had fallen onto our plate, it did have a nice taste, I just wish more care was taken with the food. The crème brûlée had a slightly bitter(burnt caramel) crust and was served cold! I felt like it had just been take out of the refrigerator! I had three spoonfuls and I was done. Overall experience, underwhelmed. I’ve checked the box on this place and am on the search for better because I’ve had better.

We found this restaurant through Unilocal and a recommendation from a local while we were staying in Tysons Corner. Go! It’s like stepping into an alternate universe. A wonderful, Italian, respect-your-nonna alternate universe. The building looks a little sketch from the outside and the inside is quite a bit dated in a throwback to 80s Italian cuisine — which I totally dug. We were seated at a table next to a group of four boisterous, vulgar businessmen which made for some hilarious dinner eavesdropping. Our server was intimidating and charming. If I had a sassy Italian aunt, she would be it. Service as a whole was fantastic here — we never even got close to an empty glass. Bf and I couldn’t decide on apps so he got the fried mozzarella and I got the caprese salad. Yum, yum, yum. His fried mozz with a spicy marinara was a million steps above some sort of cheese stick you’d get at a chain and my caprese was enjoyable, despite tomatoes being out of season :( I opted for the Pappardelle with Veal Bolognese and it was addicting. I thought I’d be able to eat half — nope. I demolished it. It was perfect and comforting. Bf ordered Chicken Parmagiana, but they accidentally gave him veal. He didn’t really say anything to me until near the end… I think he was afraid of our server! I say that in the nicest way… the Veal Parm was still really good and I don’t think he cared enough to bother sending it back. We had a couple glasses of wine and were feeling warm and cozy once dinner was over. I really wanted to try the Tiramisu but I was stuffed. So glad we took a chance and stopped by!

Stop refilling my water! Stop it already, let me take a sip, seriously. That was the level of service at DaDomenico, somewhere between attentive and intrusive, so if you like that level of attention you’ll feel right at home here. We started with a bottle of Chianti riserva, perhaps unnecessarily spendy at $ 40 but it was earthy red goodness, perfect accompaniment to the bread baskets, which appear with olive oil, balsamic *and* butter. Everyone’s happy :) Loved the food. Appetizer of calamari had rings *and* tentacles, nice side dish of red sauce for dipping, tender inside and crunchy out, great stuff, fairly priced at $ 12. Arugula salad was decorated with three beautifully thin parmesan cheese slices, lightly dressed, $ 9. Huge huge bowl of pappardelle with veal sauce was simply excellent comfort food, so tasty I ate every bite, $ 17. Finally — even tho we were stuffed — a tiramisu was richly flavored with coffee and rum, dusted with chocolate powder, creamy goodness, $ 8. Vegetarian rating: 3 stars for the salads and very interesting pastas like gnocchi in tomato sauce, eggplant parmigiana and house-made mozzarella ravioli. No fake tofu-chop but hey there’s lotsa protein in cheese. Why are people bitchin’ about the décor? It’s plain outside, clean inside and in excellent repair; sure it’s not LA modern nor chipotle-style stainless steel but hel-lo this is a NoVa strip mall, you expected what? Just because it’s old school doesn’t make it bad. Young Sinatra singing about his way, that fit the place to a T. But that fancy 16oz pork chop marinated overnight, seared and served au jus? It’s $ 46 ouch.
